It make sense but not really groundbreaking. It's basically giving you an idea that they are defending Naruto and if no recover in time, Hinata and other will be out.

this has led her to where she can now begin to embrace her true destiny...
which is and never has been with Naruto unfortunately for some

But the developments have only started recently with 614+, Hinata has development in leaps and bounds (like a space hopper

Bolded: I have a sneaky suspicion Hinata and brave ninja's could be killed by next attack from juubi defending Naruto.

Yeah, she's just there due to Naruto being focused, but never involve with real situation, which is why this is far we can get.
She could die, but only over confirm Obito coming back to battlefield and die as a man with a revival. So, she can be knocked out. Best to know how they get knocked out, then off-panel.

I recommend rereading the manga from the beginning, I have done this many times, you have missed a lot of Hinata development and the development of many other things that are hinted at

you can call it useless but it seems quite normal given the recent events.
she now bears a responsibility to carry out Neji's dying wishes. she's reached the peak of her character, just like team Asuma did. You've got to admit Hinata has been somewhat ignored throughout the manga, I think a bit of development is fair enough. Just let her have her shining moment in peace. It's all that's left for her in this story.

Agree. That's what I have been saying. She appeared in only 3 arcs that create her developments. So why not end one last run before the series goes to Team 7?

You talking about Part 1 Hinata? TBH i am rusty on her development in part 1 so i might take you up on that....

Well the only arc she was play for a bridge to one development to another. After that, she goes poof and still have to prove that she can be strong. Part 2 was about thanking her idol to be an inspirational and now, finally showing her will. So it makes sense.

it is amazing about how much more you can get out of it with the benefit of hindsight

What do you mean? Rereading the manga? Because after that thread of build-up, I couldn't agree more.

I'll admit, there are parts that I do remember from One Piece, but the world is so mass I forget at times. It doesn't that there are so many characters to remember, even the one that seems to be only one arc. It's a good thing at times, he does write a small box saying that's this guy from whoever in charge pirate.

Didn't really care as much as I thought I would about the Kakashi/Obito thing, though that Rin-jinchuuriki revelation, that was unexpected. Honestly tired of Naruto being the one to tnj all the bigbads. I hope Kakashi gets through to Obito, for once.
And after that fizzle of a reemergence from Sakura, I'm no longer going to expect anything from her character. But, Sakura's right by Naruto's side, healing him. Now would be a good time to say something I think. Then again, they are on a battlefield, so maybe not.
Also, what the frack happened to Killer Bee?

But still is not development because you are guessing there's nothing on the manga that it's shown her thinking or talking about carrying that dream.
Ino had panels, Shikamaru had panels, Chouji had panels, Lee had panels but Hinata got none looks like she only appears if it's something regarded to Naruto.
Development is fair enought but i dont see development on Hinata what i see is forced stuff being shoved into my face and the only thing i can see is a "deal with it" written without any justificative.
About part 1 Hinata's development she wanted to be strong and prove herself but until the battle with Neji because later she got ignored, and then on part 2 was just Naruto-kun, but still nothing regarded to a role of "Leading her clan" or whatever.
The only thing who could lead to this is the fact she is the heir and nothing else more because development is 0.

Pairing wars are only in the minds of fans (the battle if any was fought and won long ago) and have very little to do with the story Kishimoto is telling... it is all about plot and closure for characters as the manga draws to a end.

I know Page 13 is kinda late for just that but there was a loss in the family so I really didn't feel like posting earlier.
