Phantom@ I just might after all Zesteria might be localize next year giving me enough time to buy Symphonia Chronicles.

 

Zesteria is coming out most likely July/August of this year, if not slightly earlier that this, (the original plan was within six months of the Japanese release)  it was one of the big announcements for this game, that the western translations started while the game was still in development and not started after the Japanese release like every Tales game before.

 

You should be able to pick up Symphonia Chronicles cheap, In the UK atleast I've seen the game for around the £10 mark before, and I know it was for £11 on PSN a couple of months back. However like typical Tales games after a while it becomes rare to find and the price does creep up slightly, (Though thankfully nothing like Vesperia, which was so rare in the UK at one point it was selling for upto £500)

 

I'm considering skipping Zesteria on the PS3 and hold out for a PS4 release, I don't think this game is selling as well as the previous titles, I think it's sold around 380k which is 70k less than Xillia 2, and 290k less than Xillia 1, considering how late in the console life cycle this came out, these figures must be a bit worrying for Namco, I wouldn't surprised to see a PS4 port to bolster those figures. specially as I beleive the Western release will sell even worse. While Japan might be slow on the uptake I expect in Europe and North America, we'll probably see the Sony sell close to 30 Million units by the end of the year. That a number too big to ignore.

 

Edit: would put this very much in the rumour section but there was a Steam database entry for Tales of Zesteria which was later chaned to TOZ. So we could be seeing the Tales games coming to PC. I hope so.

Did anyone else here realize that Nana Mizuki who voices Hinakittens A.K.A. the bloody frigging retcon virus also Voices Colette Brunel?
 
I don't hate Nana or anything but that really leaves a bitter taste in my mouth cause ToS is one of my favorites and any reference or connection to NARUTARD makes me sour in the stomach.

Nana has an awesome voice. And most of the characters she voiced does not have Hinata's whiny voice so its ok. Don't let one character ruin your impression of her whole resume of character voices. Her voice as Ren Hakuei in Magi sounds completely different from Hinata. Her voice range is incredible.

I don't know if there's an official release date on Zestiria yet but on gamestop it says it will be release on December 31. Now I've never trust gamestop's release date because they made it up until the official release date is announce but still if Namco Bandai hasn't announce anything yet then Zestiria might be release early 2016.

From what I hear it's fall this year. But I'm not sure about the accuracy on that so don't quote me on that

Sad news I have to buy another copy of Graces because my copy of the game has a large crack on the disk because apparently I played the game too many times the game disk reached its limit. I still have to buy Symphonia Chronicles.

The Tales of Festival is next weekend from the 5th to the 7th of June, will have to remember to check the new sites to see if anything new is announced, there are rumours of Zesteria being ported to the PS4 and Steam. Also Namco registered to trademark three possible titles in Japan so they might also announce a new game, but considering the direction JKapanses game development is going it wouldn't surprise me if it turns out to be a mobile phone game. I dread to think what will happen when the smartphone Free to play bubble will burst.

It's still coming out on the PS3 so if you have that it won't affect you. But for someone like me a PC and/or PS4 release would be brilliant, and I can finally pack away my PS3 which is only plugged in for the release of Zesteria.

Well looks like a new  Tales game was indeed announced, though no localization just yet, but that will probably be announced after Zesteria is released.

 

Games called Tales of Berseria. Will feature a Solo Female Protaganist (I wonder if this is a counter for the negative feedback they misadvertised the heroine in the previous game as having a big role when in reality she was hardly in the game.) called Velvet...er surname better not be Rose.

 

She'll be voice by Rina Satou, so Misaka Mikoto being all Tsundere again maybe.

 

She'll be a Pirate which is cool. So hopefully we'll get a world map similar to Vesperia, that world felt allot bigger than the later games.

 

Design wise she looks like the love child of Yuri from Vesperia and Milla from Xillia to be with the wild hair and fahion sense. Also a vampire.

 

Also coming out on the PS3 and the PS4.

 

No announcement of Zesteria on the PS4, but hopefully it will still happen.

I REALLY like Velvet's design.   Oh and Happy News!!!!   I found an unopened Copy of Tales of the Abyss!!!!  It was ordered online at a gaming store that I know of that sells retro games like PS2 Anyways I finally have a real copy of the game. Abyss is one of my favourites really.

Whoa you're right she does look like she's a combination of Yuri and Milla. And I don't know why but just looking at her it reminds me of Erza from Fairy Tail so I guess the best English voice actress for her will be Colleen Clickinbeard.
