So, whats going on in the trailer again? Translation anyone?

okay, i have another part to add to the genjutsu theory. what if before kabuto used yamato to power up the zetsu, the zetsu could change into exact copies of someone but get facial parts and personalities wrong( a flaw they probably captured yamato to fix)? anyone think it sounds like a good idea? so naruto could be under a genjutsu and sakura could be trying to free him and stop the zetsus. also, i think some of you are forgetting, right now tobi is in his new outfit both in anime and manga, and the one in the movie is the old outfit. so basically this takes place probably slightly before tobi's outfit change, which is before the war starts.

*First set: Looks like Kishi is trying to give Naruto more muscle mass, because he's definitely look more beefier than his canon self. He also wearing some bandage design on his arms like Sasuke wore back in Part 1.

*There is a guy wearing a mask, looks like a brand new ANBU character

*Second set: I'm 85% sure that's Sakura on the left because that's her hairstyle. On the right is another new character... looks like a descendant of the Sage of Six Paths or an Uchiha.

*Third set: another new character or that's the sketch of the same ANBU character from the first set with his full design.

Paused it on the second set of sketches- person beside what definitely looks like a partial sketch of Sakura looks to have normal eyes, and looks to have the Haruno family symbol on their clothes- back view looks more male build- androgynous from the front- Sakura's father? Some resemblance through the face I think... It would lend an explanation to the partial sketch of Sakura (with what looks like an irritated look) placed behind the new character's outstretched arm- as if he? is blocking her from going somewhere. (note as well the similarity in the new character's upper costume to Sakura's as well- the mandarin collar with what looks like a zipper design very similar to Sakura's- straight down part way, then a diagonal to the side.

Kishi, if this takes place in the manga storyline..... I. WILL. BE. PISSED. And I swear for the love of god, will squeeze the life out of you...

If you guys would like to understand why, it's because we would be waiting for a year to watch it while Kishi makes references to it in the manga and we wouldn't know what the hell is going on!!!!

That trailer hardly quenched my thirst for knowledge about this movie. Hopefully narunarunaru can provide us with an english translation.

okay, this has to be an alternate universe. they're talking about the eye of the moon plan which is what is being stopped in the manga right now and that is the wrong tobi. wait, you guys are saying that could all be a genjutsu?but why would tobi make naruto think the war is actually going on and bring his parents into this? it doesn't make sense unless it's an AU. i am totally confused now

Are you speculating that he's Naruto's rival or did you get confirmation somewhere.

On a different note here's my new theory: This Eye of the Moon plan for the movie will be an illusionary jutsu that everyone will be affected by, and it's a world in which Naruto never existed.

I hope its an alternate unverse. That would be so cool and I think if Hinata is portrayed as more bold, it would probably amuse me and Ino SHY???? Never thought someone like her would be
I also hope that Sakura kicks some ass in this movie and if it is an AU, I would want to see Kushina meet Sakura and say what she thinks of her.

It didn't get subbed but at the very end it says something about a genjutsu- which would make perfect sense if this is the result of Tobi Madara unleashing the "Eye of the Moon" plan. (Which was supposed to be a mass genjutsu on everyone)

red dragon, Azure is just repeating a speculation of one person on Narutofan- and not one who can read or would have any access to Japanese sources. There's nothing that's actually been said at all about who the guy is.

I think it might be Sakura's father. The ninja clan symbol on the clothes looks like the Haruno crest, the top looks like Sakura's- mandarin collar and zipper style like hers- straight down part way, then diagonal to the side. There may even be a hint of resemblance in the face.

What I don't get is how can Tobi unleash The Eye Of The Moon Plan if he hasn't extracted Kurama from Naruto, and The Eight Tails from Killer Bee? I suppose he could have used the portions of their chakra he was able to capture, and used that to unleash it, but it could be far from perfect right now.

Some guy mentioned this on a different forum. He didn't seem like he was speculating, so I thought he was certain. I wouldn't take my word 100% until more info comes out about the movie.

Given that she is next to Shika and Choji, it is Ino. It is the Rookie 9 with Gai and Kakashi. All the characters seem to have changed which is likely caused by Tobi's genutsu.

But Naruto and Sakura are equal, with each other. Maybe everyone has changed that is due to the genjutsu like you said! 8D That makes a lot of sense, actually.
And Naruto and Sakura stay the same. I can tell there's going to be a lot of NS in this movie.

Nope. Nothing like that was ever in the manga. Fan sites do sometimes convolute fanfiction with what was in manga canon. And Sakura having a ninja family crest shows she comes from a ninja clan, and one that was of enough note at some point to have a family crest. (Not all ninja families appear to have one, which is similar to how samurai families were in historical Japan.)
