Was it it been a while since I've read it but i recall him asking her to eat his bento. Checks no your both right.

 

Also checked the match between him and alice it the same just sped up more then usual. Normally they slow things down i other anime because they have to have filler to slow down the episode so they won' over take the manga. Here they already set up when they are stopping this season. So they are just going through the chapters.

Well the new chapters are up, seems that we got them early this week for the SWJ's which is nice.

 

Not really much to say, Souma and Erina might have spent their most peaceful moment together to date, which is good (though the way the manga is going makes you wonder what will happen once they make it to year two, I can't see Azami's regime lasting till the year end so will this manga end with the year end or is there something more instore for them.)

 

Was really hoping the annoyance that was the first stage examiner would be gone like yesterdays newspaper but she's still around, which essentially ruined the whole chapter for me, there was this nice vibe going on and then her face reappeared and just pissed me off again.

Yeah, I was hoping we'd get a DIFFERENT examiner rather than that ugly old crone, but alas.  THE SHIP TEASE IS STRONG in this chapter though and I love it for that.   SORINA HECK YEAH!!!!!!!  This moment sold it!

But ironically his obliviousness made the moment sweeter though. He actually made Erina giggle.     and her comments towards him sound more like playful banter now  

 

common speculation is Akira is working with Central against his will. Brobably because he may be promised Jun's seminars will be spared if he co-operates. IF it is true though

Oh I have to say this. Doesn't anyone else find the anime's openings theme scenes are getting even MORE over the top?  It's not a battle manga lol

It actually is a Battle Manga, Battle manga's don't have to include actual physical battles, the current arc specially seems to have many of the typical battle manga tropes with Azami's ideals clashing with the MC's and the hero's battling using their style to overcome and eventually win against th enemy.

Hm, good point. BUT it doesn't change the fact the the opening theme scenes are too over the top and misdirect on the concept a bit, though I get its to get hyped for the episode. But I just find it funny rather than exciting. XD

True but if you look at the second OP from the first season, this follows up nicely from that, that was showed them preparing for battle, this continues on from that concept with actual battles.

 

Then again if you think about the foodgasms and the OTT reactions we get from cooking, the OTT OP makes perfect sense in that regard.

They seriously just need to quit Totsuki and find another cooking school ... all of them. It's like Totsuki is the only cooking school in the whole of world.

There are better cooking school out there that will gladly accept chef with Souma caliber. This is starting to get annoying , imagine there was a test/exam ... but the examiner won't give you the exam paper and told you to find a way to complete it .... how's that makes any sense????

*shrug* It's been established that the scenario will be a rinse and repeat though nothing we can do but pull through the end of the exam, and HOPEFULLY Azami is booted out of being Director so we can get back to the regular plotlines again. Although my only contentment with this arc is that Soma and Erina's relationship is VASTLY improved

You too? I felt like Erina herself makes the arc interesting as she gets more focus because she helps progess the plot

Erina's development IS a fine point for this arc don't get me wrong It's how the arc is going in general that some are finding annoying. The examiners are neither interesting or likeable. On the other hand the sabotage gimmick has long been a thing so I've nothing against that, and look forward to seeing the examiners fail miserably to break the Rebels' spirits. I am a bit disappointed though that up til now Erina's cooking is a more "tell, don't show" kind of thing even though she really is a great chef. Right now she only has like 2 personal recipes given on panel and it hasn't been shown the process of her making it which is what I want to see more of.

Yeah,Erina's development has been the best thing of this arc so far. I'm so tired of these stupid judges that have showed up ever since Azami has arrived.
