It takes me a while to get through so many pages of posts. Ugh.
My personal thoughts....
I still don't see a stinking thing in these movie teasers that influences my opinion. Like I've said before, it just feels like a consolation prize for Hinata and her fans. Time will tell, but nothing we've seen so far should be panic-inducing.
The manga is still what matters most. I see a lot of drum-beating that the movie is canon, but I think that is a confused leap from what Kishimoto actually said, but that's my opinion. I've already posted twice that "connected to the manga" =/= canon, but it has mostly fallen on deaf ears.
I just don't believe that Kishimoto will abandon NS after everything he's done to set it up. Literally hours ago in the manga Naruto said Sakura was "more or less" his girlfriend. He also told his dad to tell Kushina that he’s trying to take her advice on girls, but it hasn’t been going so well even though he’s still working on it. If he meant Hinata, why would he say it wasn’t going well or that he’s working on it? All he’d have to do is accept her.
No, nothing in the manga adds up to Hinata, and it would be the very worst idea in the long, sad history of bad ideas if Kishimoto suddenly backtracked on all that -- and did so in a freaking movie with, let's face it, an apparently lame storyline. A Hyuga kidnapping? He already did that in the manga, remember?
Good grief. Get a new idea, Kishimoto. Then again, I guess it's limiting when the worthy Hyuga character in your story is dead, and the girls are nothing but kidnap fodder. Oy. But I digress.....
If you guys need a boost, remember the look on Naruto's face upon hearing the words, "Naruto, I love you."
Naruto won't give up his love for Sakura-chan. If he couldn't give up on making Sasuke see things his way, then why would he give up on his best girl? He won't.
