I can't see Naruto with anyone if he's not with Sakura either. Not just because of parallels, but because it breaks his consistency. Things like being Hokage, saving Sasuke, considering Sasuke a best friend, and loving Sakura are already core parts of Naruto's character that won't change, whether you like it or not. Naruto is a character that never truly changes, after all. And I can't see Naruto being with someone else if he loves/likes another. That just doesn't sound like him.
What confuses me is that some NH fans acknowledge Naruto still likes/loves Sakura, but since he'd let Sakura be happy with Sasuke if that's truly what she wanted, they somehow believe he'll go to Hinata. Just because Naruto would accept Sakura being with Sasuke doesn't mean he'll go to another girl.
When I hear this argument, it makes me feel like the NH fans are accepting Hinata being a rebound if he can't have Sakura. Maybe they believe he can learn to love Hinata, but seriously? Does it honestly sound like Naruto to be with Hinata because she was there, not because he likes her? Especially if he knows he still has stronger feelings for Sakura? Naruto is too nice to do that to Hinata and too true to who he is to do that to himself.
NH always have to make Naruto so OCC.
