Sasuke is an avenger, I think thats fantastic.

Naruto however, has a pretty standard life of a hero. Have a ridiculous dream, and a never give up lifestyle. Start off as an underdog, then 2 years later become a demigod. Then (in the future of course) he saves the world and get's the girl. Yep, pretty average. But there's really nothing wrong with that, it's the other characters I care about.

I want to see Lee become the greatest taijutsu user who ever lived, I want Neji to be freed of his bird cage, I want Sasuke to kill everyone in Konoha, I want Konohamaru to become Hokage, I want Hinata to become the leader of her clan, I want Naruto to bring peace to the ninja world, and I want Kakashi to take off his freaken mask!


Anyways, back to my point.


How exactly could NaruHina happen?
Place : Streets of Konoha
Naruto is just taking a leisurely stroll when he sees Hinata and walks over to her.
Naruto : Want to be my girlfriend?
Hinata : Sure

THE END

Do these NaruHina fans really think this is going to happen? Really? Why would it? How is that relevant to the story? What would that accomplish? Neither Naruto or Hinata are changing in any way shape or form by doing that.

At with NaruSaku you have some purpose.


Point A : Naruto mirrors Jiraiya.

There are many ways we can compare team 7 to Sarutobi's team. We know how much they mirror each other. That bring me to my point. It's been hinted at that Jiraiya loves Tsunade. However Jiraiya took his feelings to the grave because he didn't want Tsunade to suffer any more if he didn't make it back. Selfless love in a nutshell. Why am I saying this? Because Naruto is going to succeed where his predecessors failed.

Point B : The freaken drama!

Unlike NaruHina, when NaruSaku becomes cannon it won't just be with a casual conversation, it will be an extremely emotional revelation, kind of like Hinata's confession. NaruSaku becoming cannon would be far more interesting and emotional then NaruHina. This is because of how awkward Sakura's confession was, and how Naruto still can't believe she's over Sasuke.

Point C : Development, plain and simple.

By NaruSaku happening it would prove Sakura has finally acknowledged her love for Sasuke was an immature vision of love that was derived from her crush, and that she has finally moved on. Sakura acknowledging this is very much needed if she is ever going to grow up. Naruto had his "growing up" moment when Jiriaya died. Shikimaru had his when Asuma died. Sasuke is currently having his since Itachi "died". Sakura need to recognize what love truly is. Other then that she is actually quite grown up.



Anyways, I have no idea what you guys were discussing, I just hope this shakes things up a bit.

There are more points that I think we can all gather. I would like to exploit more, but I have to go very soon. But back to my point. These points gave me a reason why NaruSaku will have the biggest impact of them all. Stuff like this isn't easy to accomplish, but Kishi got the development going well. I seriously doubt that Kishi will turn it down. If people believe that he is going what fans want, then that is wrong. Sure, he can give certain character more screen time, but their outcome will be the same. Nobody is going to change the dynamic of the main characters except themselves (or rather Naruto himself).

Btw, I do like Naruto character a lot for various reasons. Goal is simple, but it's the journey that made it likeable. Not going too much detail since I have less time, but everything, to me, is going well. It's still about Naruto. Heck, even Uchiha still involve with Naruto. One relies on him the most (Itachi), one wants Kyuubi (Madara), one wants the same but hate him for messing up everything (Tobi), and one wants to kill because he's slowly converting (Sasuke). Regardless, I am hoping for the best outcome for Naruto.

That was a great post, freaking amazing, you actually spelled why the relationship between NS will make more sense, is basically saying that NH, has no challenge, SS too much abuse, NS challenge and the regular proses from friends of good friends to close friends and finally becoming lovers

Also about the parallels, people he heavily criticizes NaruSaku for using them, but the question is why Kishi uses the 3 Sanin as Naruto, Sakura and Sasuke parallel? Why Kishi made MinaKushi relationship so similar to Naruto and Sakura's relationship when he could use a complete difference scenario? People are b*shing about it but I'm pretty sure you cannot use Asukurenai with NaruSaku.

But you can use Jira/Tsu. The main reason why so many SS fans want to insist that Tsunade only loved Dan. Obito/Rin has the same dynamic of Team 7 with Obito being parallel to Naruto. MinaKushi not the same dynamic, they started almost the same way NS stated only difference is that Kushina was never in love with another men. Kushina saw Minato the same way Sakura saw Naruto and they both change because of the two mens andboth admitted that they made an error by judging them wrong.

you do realize that if one person could vote multiple times then anyone could... besides we are talking about a poll done for pairings in a WSJ manga nothing should be considered serious by anyone...

If anyone is deeply troubled by who Naruto ends up with at the end of the series then maybe they should just drop the manga in their hand and go find the nearest psychiatrist.

Is the majority of the audiance female or something? I don't think male readers would vote up yaoi crack pairings so high. But then again I don't know much about japanese culture...

Fujoshi literally means "rotten girl" they are an otaku subset of girls/women who like Yaoi (male/male) pairings any manga with multiple male characters will have its Fujoshi fan base.

all one has to do to understand is look at the sheer amount of Zoro/Sanji doujinski to understand how powerful they are

I don't think that the majority of the fanbase is girls. I think the majority of those who would actually take the effort to vote in a pairing poll are female. Hence, the over abundance of guy/guy pairings and, no offense meant to anyone who also likes SasuSaku in this forum, why SasuSaku is ranked higher than NS and NH (I think SS's fan base is comprised of far more girls than guys, while NS and NH's fan bases are more evenly spread out, given my experience with the fandom...could be totally wrong though).

No Paptala you're not wrong 99.3% of SS fans are girls, that's the main reason why Sakura is so hated by 70% of the boys the other 30% like her to be paired with Naruto.
To be clear Sakura treatment to Naruto her fangirling Sasuke and the fact that she still seems to be in love with him is what send away many NS fans to the Anti big pairing, to NH side or just ignore the Manga.
When people creat thread in Naruto forums, the biggest reason of her hatred is liking Sasuke, her attitude in part one and her confession.

So basically you are saying that if the fan pairing poll are fear NH or NS would be number one between all the fans, you see just by looking at the poll I could imagine that the most voters were girl, no boys in their right mind will vote massively for yoai couple, maybe one or two of each 100 boys, and SS would never be over NS or NH because the pairing is not liked by the male fans only female fans who loves Shojo Manga. I can assume that the percentage between male and female readers are 65/35 or 70/30 in favor of the boys.

Are there any SS fans who are boys that like the idea of Sakura still liking Sasuke. I can understand it when it's a girl since it has the appeal of the shoujo manga formula, the normal girl having undying feelings for the cool dark guy with the hope that in the end he'll notice her.

Since Sakura's relationship with Sasuke is reminiscent to what happens in shoujo manga the idea of SS has a certain attraction to girls. But what about the boys? Do any of you know of any guy that finds appealing the idea of Sakura still holding feelings for Sasuke?

People are never more honest than in their times of greatest desperation. Only in dire situations like that are you going to see a person's completely unadulterated nature. When you see someone confess their love in desperation, when you see them fawn over someone in desperate love, it sets a flagstone for how you perceive their intentions and the rest of their personality. It's said that first impressions are important, and they are. Because based on how someone sees you for the first time can easily color how they will see you forever. And when the first thing they saw is her attitude in the first and her unwarranted adoration of Sasuke, that marked her in the eyes of many.
