Zuko was such a better character than Sasuke is. At least he worked for his redemption and was genuinely open with his regret for everything he did. Sasuke doesn't even care about his crimes. Even if Sasuke does end up regretting it through some half-assed explanation, he would never really show it. I see Zuko and Sasuke alike on a base level, but they were also really different.

 

Kataang seems similar to NaruSaku, even though Katara is a little more mellow than Sakura.  I guess that's one of the reasons why I ship it. <3 Aang's a lot like Naruto when he was younger, though he was way more forward with Katara than Naruto ever was and unfortunately ever will be with Sakura (two kisses ... like wow). They had a nice relationship, I'm really glad they became canon.

 

I especially liked one of the last episodes where the creators made fun of Zutara and the people who believed Kataang was a bro-sis relationship in a play. I would seriously love it if Kishi did that with NH/SS canon and made fun of the bro-sis argument for NS.

 

Srsly. You cannot tell me you wouldn't love Naruto, Sakura, Hinata, and Sasuke watching a 'play' like that.

I didn't think it was out of nowhere. Katara treated Aang more ambiguously than how he treated her (at least a little) and it was clear at the beginning of the series Katara didn't really have any feelings for him except that she thought he was special.  I think Katara got confused with the severity of the situation without giving much time to think about her feelings and the fact of how she first viewed Aang changing so fast.

 

Katara's confusion of Aang reminds me of Sakura with Naruto. Though I will admit Sakura has more realistic, valid reasons for being confused over Naruto than Katara did (holding on to someone they loved previously combined with initial viewpoint of him etc.)

We can only hope Naruto acts like Aang in the future chapters. Aang actually made a move on Katara. Forget about Naruto making a move on Sakura , he doesn't even understand it when Sakura makes subtle moves on him!!!

Hundreds of years frozen in ice had made Aang desperate for some love I guess 

But Naruto believes that Sakura really loves Sasuke which is probably holding him back. Aang did not have this problem with Katara.

Gah, all this talk of "confusion" reminds me of SS, which makes me physically sick. I sincerely can't wait till Sakura frenches Naruto after the war, and I hope Kishi draws it with exquisite detail, so all those other people can bite the dust (not gonna happen like that, but I can wish, can't i?)

I think that Naruto has made movements on Sakura when he asked dates, and most recently when he said in front of his father that she is more or less his girlfriend in that so relaxed way that I even found a little daring given the complexity of their history between them so far as was perhaps why that was So funny .xD

I also think that Aang was not so aware of the feelings of Katara to other guys that allowed him to be more confident with her in the final season and I think that another important factor was that unlike Naruto Aang was always conscious and wide awake at times Katara was showing serious concern and that kind of affection that goes beyond the limits of friendship ... I think the kataang eventhough it had reached obstacles not was be as complex as the narusaku, perhaps that is why I think that narusaku is more complex, realistic and significant.

ahh remind me of those times that I was kataang fan and fight in shipping wars with zutara fandom that of course! exceeded in number but never had so much hatred in these wars like Naruto shipping wars. I thought that I was a veteran in shipping wars but this makes me feel like a rookie

Meh, to me it's not much difference from the SonSal and SonAmy shipping wars I remember...though I'm not sure that one had as many people involved.
