Apparently Naruto was too immature to know what love was.

No offense to Sakura but didn't Kishimoto himself said in an interview once that Sakura's crush on Sasuke was "completely arbitrary" and that she was pursuing a "selfish love"? How did her infatuation get glorified to true love levels while Naruto's selfless love get downtrodden?
I'm telling you: Collect all of Kishimoto's interviews and you will find inconsistency and retcons everywhere. The guy doesn't read his own kittening story or remember his own words. He doesn't care.

They're trying to retcon Sasuke into being an INSPIRATION for Sakura? Motivation yes but INSPIRATION?? WTF...
Even when she liked him as a child it seemed her crush was more centered on his mystery and a desire to melt the heart of a stone cold bad boy. It was different from Hinata's infatuation with Naruto whom she wanted to be more like.

Both Sasuke and Naruto motivated Sakura but her inspiration was NARUTO. She was inspired by Naruto's will to get stronger hence her going to Tsunade in order to accompany him to save Sasuke.
When has Sakura ever said she wanted to be more like Sasuke or that he inspired her? Lol She felt more ashamed of him in Shippuden like her guilt trip with the love letter ninja and when she cried after Karui told her the bad things going on with Sasuke. Like I said--Sasuke MOTIVATED her..but this "you inspire me" NH-equivalent retcon is such BS.
SS can happen but don't damn change the characters relationships. >.<

Yes and again this was thanks to Naruto  the one who has always been by her side in her hardest moments put a smile on her face  and Inspired her to get stronger  

 

Its funny if it wasn't for Naruto's inspiration Sakura would have quit it and hit it a long time ago and yet we get this SS BS

things like that make me really sad. Because not only do they hurt themselves, but the people close to them by doing nothing. 

No one can SAVE a person from a situation like that. They have to be ready and willing to save themselves.

 

There's so much I can say about people who like SS and see it as true love but, I choose not to because it's way too harsh.

More importantly " thanks for teaching me not to give up on the one i love..." NARUTO GIVES UP!
