Was this the first time we've seen Lucy drink alchohol? I can't remember.

 

Not much to say about the chapter, the old joke about the master is so old that not even the mangaka repeating the joke seemed to loose motivation in telling it.

 

Well hopefully the flashback with be interesting, though I don't know if it will be a long one as we already got Zero tell us the history of Mavis and Zeref's first encounters, and we got the history of him recreating(?) Natsu. So this would be the time inbetween, where they met each other again, unless we get a flashback within the flashback to explain the history of Acnologia as well.

 

I guess it all depends on how much of the history we get, will we get the history on how Natsu ended up with Igneel?

The history with Natsu and Igneel seems to be another piece that won't be in this upcoming flashback. It's like we get 3 parts and we are now going to second one. Perhaps Natsu and Igneel might come in whenever relates to Acnologia. He has to tie in to the dragons no doubt.

Wasn't that accidental though? I thought they got drunk because they accidently got into Cana's stash where this was her conciously drinking alchohol.

No. If I recall correctly, they didn't wait for the boys, so they took upon themselves and they just got happy and drank it all. Then boys were in the danger zone.

Any idea what chapter that section was from? I know most of it was from 261, and part of it was a special chapter where Lucy goes to annoy Natsu at his home only to end up cleaning it and get tired waiting. I can't remember what chapter the getting drunk part is from, if it was in the manga I don't know if it was changed or if it was anime only, in which case my original argumant would still hold true, though letting a 14 year old get drunk is just irresponsible of Erza and the other girls.

I do believe it was anime exclusive. It's when they went to hot spring after small training for Grand Magic Festival. The hot bath and all, before they all went to celebrate Lucy's appreciation by all summons.

I've been so busy at work that i stopped somewhere around Episode 30ish of Fairy Tale (2014).

 

I was so tempted to just read the manga , but then I realized , i want to watch it with the OST and cry like a little girl every 3 - 4 episode.

 

I'll probs read the manga when i'm finished with the released anime eps. is that okay? or am i missing vital story stuff from the manga?

There've been some pretty nice revelations in newer chapters...if you want to keep the surprise for the anime you shouldn't read the manga

Things are starting to make sense, why the second FT master was researching the dark arts in the first place, and the end of Zero it was confirmed Markarov was only 4 years old when Yury died, this has a recipe for a tragedy.

Well that was certainly an interesting chapter, I'm so glad the flashback didn't just end in one chapter, but considering Hiro's writing style I think it was a bit obvious given how Rave Master was with it's flashbacks. Now I'm curious as to where things are going to go with the next chapter.

MGS5 being a success is like telling us water is wet. The only way that would be a talking point is if it wasn't a success...which might be the case moving forward.

Me thinks something happens to Markarov and that's why Mavis is looking for this "magic" with Zeref.
