Usopp is much better. How is she going to beat him when he fires something at her? If she dodges it you know it'll come right back or something. Chopper would beat her up without going into his big form, and Nami would just electrocute her. She knows some good hand to hand combat skills, but other than that she has nothing that wows the eye in a fight. Like....  As weak as that sheep guy was in the recent chapter. He would of easily beat Viola.

 

Not to mention that Luffy has had no contact with her. It's the captain who decides, and he's seen nothing out of her to wow him into asking her to join.

Though he's seen Rebecca's fighting style and he likes it.

Rebecca is a better fighter. Not to mention he was Rebecca's friend. Viola is nothing to Luffy as far as he knows. Only Cavendish, Bartolomeo, and Rebecca became his friend though regular settings. Everyone else from the Colosseum became his ally from Usopp saving them. And then people like Kyros and Viola just helped without Luffy knowing about them.

The reason Cavendish and Bartolomeo have a shot is because Luffy has talked a bit with both. Cavendish dreams of being famous, and being with the Pirate King would give him that dream. Bartolomeo wants his senpai to be the Pirate King, and being one of his strongest men would give him that dream and then some. Both are very strong, and they wouldn't break the big trio that is Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji. Bartolomeo is very strong, and would be a force to be reckoned against when it's time for the leaders of a Yonko's army to be taken out. He's my choice, but I doubt anyone jumps on the ship from Dressrosa. If Bartolomeo does, then I'm sure Robin will reccomend that Luffy listens to his offer of being his crew member. After all. He did jump in front of that blast to protect Robin. If Cavendish does, I think he'll join the Heart Pirates, as Law could be a future Yonko, but his crew is small.

Her ability paired with observation is almost as broken as Enel being able to detect vibrations in conjunction with his haki. She'd know what Usopp would do before he even planned it. Not to mention she's strong as hell and Usopp has no answer for her whale tears.

Also, Luffy has dealt with her, a lot. Him, Zoro, and Kinemon all did. Not to mention Luffy knew that she stood up against Doflamingo, which would impress him. She helped his crew tremendously during this arc, she had the most interaction with all member of his crew and saved their lives multiple times.

Cabbage doesn't want to be famous, he wants to be the most famous. He's cool and all, but he would never consent to being Luffy's crew, considering that he hates how Luffy, Law, and the like stole his spotlight. Bart has a good chance, but he isn't with the crew at the present. Viola is a great choice for crewmember. She would fill the scout rile up in the birds nest, and then all that leaves is Jinbe probably as the helmsman.

When Viola uses her ability she isn't foreseeing attacks. She can see anywhere, that is all. She doesn't even have haki.

 

As for lookout. She isn't going to be using her ability 24/7 on the ship. So with Nami as navigator, Viola would be useless.

 

And shame on some of you for calling Viola stronger than Usopp. He trained for 2 years. If has to surpass Yasopp, and if he isn't 3x stronger than Viola at this point, he won't make it. She is a princess that was being used by Doflamingo. She didn't have a reason to get strong like Rebecca. See is an ordinary girl that was tough because of the hard life she lived. Nothing more. Now she can be a princess again. Remind you of somebody we all know and love? That's right. Vivi. Except I would compare Vivi more to Rebecca.

 

Not to mention... Viola has no dream... Her kingdom is saved.

No. Just because she wouldn't use her ability all the time doesn't mean she would be useless. She would keep watch when need be. She wouldn't even need to be up in the crows nest the entire time, she could just scout once or twice real quick an hour.

She would murder Usopp. She did have a reason to be strong, she needed to be or her family would die. Doflamingo told her to be strong or else. She's not any less strong than anyone else in Doflamingo's crew, she had to be able to hold her own.

Her Kingdom was minutes from being completely gone. What would you do if you were the princess shouldering all that abuse and pain as all the people you love are screaming for help? What she did was beautiful mentally, but not so much psychically. Viola has a great heart, and is perfect to be a princess of such a wonderful and beautiful kingdom. However her strength isn't enough to sail the great sea of the New World. Those whales aren't much man. They scared filler characters away... Not a big deal. You know Usopp would blow those up. He is a master sniper. If he can't range a girl as slow as Viola he isn't strong. She doesn't even have soru. The only way she could beat Usopp is by assassinating him, which isn't a real test of strength or fighting skills. Viola is a good character, but she isn't meant for the New World pirate life.

True, but he's not Luffy, so it's grody I don't think they'd be good together anyway, doesn't really seem right. Besides, Nami's got the hots for her rubber captain.
