It's the representation of Sakura on it, I'm talking about, not the cover itself. I don't know if you get what I mean. Like, even now, she's still represented as a "fangirl" who does nothing. It's still the same characters aren't they on this cover? Just in a AU, but still the same characters. Like the previous LOTR or HTTYD cover. So even if it's just a cover, it's still Sakura, isn't it?
I see what you're saying, but that's even more reason to dismiss the cover. If you believe that it portrays her as sort of a needy fangirl, then the cover should be even more relieving to you, since the cover and the actual contents of the manga are two different portrayals of the same character. Sakura has proven that the days of her being a fangirl are long since over, one instance being her strong dedication to Naruto and her use of his efforts as motivation. Given this line of thought, there truly is nothing to be concerned about.
Has anybody else spent the day giggling about how SS fans were spittin "cannon" everywhere once the cover page was released, and then nothing happened in the chapter? Kishi trolled the hell out of them
