Seeing how Itachi killed his girlfriend over Sasuke like all the others, it's clear how the women will be treated in this story.

Brothers over Lovers.

Kishi is using a woman to indicate how strong the bonds of males can be by shoving the woman meant be a "lover" over the male guy. Simply, because he lacks the ability to show it in any other way. I LOVE YOU EVEN MORE THAN MY WIFE!! *Pukes*

I hope the Last movie doesn't end up turning to be Brokeback Mountain 2.0.

Repulsive writing. The way he depicts women and their emotions leads me to question where he got all this crap from. How did he come up with the idea that Hinata should be completely absent minded in regards to everything else except Naruto. How did he come up with the idea to reduce Karin into nothing more than a girl who puts up with Sasuke if it means getting closer to his pants. And how did he come up with the idea to have Sakura be this emotional train wreck who has little to no reason for loving a guy who treats her worse than trash.

 

How did he come up with this mess? How? And has his wife been notify by the way he depicts women? I would like to hear her opinion on his characterization of women.

Last time I checked SasuSaku was the most popular pairing in Japan. You have to market to the majority, at least until the end. Though I hav to wonder why they like it so much if that is still the case.

You know, I'm okay with this. I'm okay with how things are going now because I realize that I knew this was going to happen. Okay, maybe not exactly how I pictured it, but I knew that Sakura was going to be brought to her core and weakened by Sasuke. I knew Naruto is also going to be the same. I bet you money right now it is going to happen to Naruto during this fight and he is going to give up. The ole "I can't do anything. I can't save anyone." That's when you have Naruto thinking of everyone and finally Sakura. Maybe even Obito comes to him saying "What are you doing, needle noggin?" (Sorry. Trigun on the mind) At that time I know people will complain about how weak Naruto is as well.

Like I said, I don't disagree with the people who have doubts and complaints about this chapter. In fact, I don't blame you. I don't agree, but I don't blame you either. This one time Kishi really did do something I can't really describe and the tact was kind of reckless. At the same time though, I kind of knew this was going to happen. I knew dark times were going to happen ahead and I knew things would look bad for us at the beginning, but I truly feel things will pay off for us in the end. I am okay with this.

I can think of several ways to truly fix this and one way being very reminiscent of Outlaw Star's ending.

I don't feel sorry for Sasuke either. I can't, but I know he won't get the punishment he deserves. At least I hope he experiences being truly broken worse than either Sakura or Naruto. I hope he is brought to his knees and shown how he has been wasting his life for nothing, but a flawed dream and that if anything having no friends or people around him backing him on is actually a gift rather than a punishment. He doesn't deserve it, but we all know he is going to get it anyway.

Some of you are always going to hate this...some of you are like me and are okay with it now if not before...

I still think Sakura is an amazing girl and I am not going to let this chapter ruin her entire reputation of all that she has done. I refuse to let that occur. If people don't agree well, then that is there choice. They were never going to be satisfied anyway. Nothing could have been done. Some of these people who think Sakura is a b*tch or something are the same people that think Sasuke is a gift from god and that he is such a caring and loving boy...yeah, I can't take that kind of judgement seriously.

What if things get worse? I have a feeling it won't. I have a feeling everything is going to be okay. I can't explain why, I just feel it.

Not to burst your bubble or anything, but there are women like that. Not every female on the planet is this epitome of good, proper mannered, good intentioned, whatever that many try to put here. I know a few girls who are gold diggers, who are sluts with one track minds, and are probably more disgusting than some men. Men are not the only creatures that can be low class.

One thing I've noticed is that, throughout this final phase of the manga, Kishi has teased his fans with the 3 main ships: NH (hand-holding scene), NS (Kushina reference/CPR) and I guess now it's SS's turn (eye-sex scene/693 confession). I know all of us have been feeling really down lately, myself included, but I think we have to step back and look at the bigger picture. If we put ourselves in NH's position, when 631 came out, they must have felt what we feel now. After the hand-holding scene and Naruto thanking Hinata for always being by his side, they must've thought it made no sense at all for Naruto to turn around and randomly call Sakura his girlfriend. Just like it makes no sense for us now that Sakura would randomly confess her love for Sasuke after Kishi had Minato think that Sakura is similar to Kushina and having Sakura go to extreme lengths to keep Naruto alive. It's been made perfectly clear that Kishi does not take his romance sub-plot seriously and that he's just toying with us all. What Kishi needs to understand is that, a sensible writer has to know how to tease their audience while still keeping the logic that they've established within their story. It's clear that Kishi is totally unaware of the repercussions of his actions (obliterating all of NS's/Sakura's individual development) just so he could tease the SS fanbase.

Eh, at this point, I can't be upset. Most of the western fans who read Naruto do so for free. Technically he doesn't owe us anything-it's not like we're paying him for the story. I can understand why he'd tease SS, it's pretty big in Japan. In the end we'll have NS, that's something to look forward to at least!

I know. But just because 0.01% of the female population have serious problems like luffyq1 pointed out, it doesn't give Kishi the right to depict 80%, especially the main female character, like that.

You don't talk as if 80% of the Muslims are terrorists just because 0.00001% of them might be, do you?

Or obliterating all of Naruto's development to give NH a scene....like 615. I'm sorry, but that came out of left field just as this did.

I actually don't even think this does tease the SS fanbase unless you really are that hardcore fan that is blind to what is really going on in the manga. This was an SS moment, but it wasn't exactly a positive SS moment. 615 at least was a positive one. That's the big difference on this. All NS scenes were positive save for one. All NH scenes were positive save for one or two. All SS scenes were purely negative or down right went against the pairing itself.

I also notice there is kind of a difference of views on this forum
Those who are thinking how negative this chapter was on NS
and
Those who are thinking how negative this chapter was to the entire manga plot.

I can't look at this chapter ONLY as whether it was good or bad for NS and NS kind. I have to look at this chapter as though whether it was good or bad for the manga plot and all the characters within it. I think that is where the mistakes come in. Like the other fandoms, we only paying attention to what it means to NS, but never do we really look at what it means to other things in the manga. The other elements that are in play here.

I think there is really something subtle, and I think this is the source of the SasuSaku fans faith.
Because they see that Sasuke is on his way to be redeemed, and they think he will be in love with Sakura after that.
They are just interpreting too strongly the subtle hints of softening Kishimoto gave about Sasuke IMO. /// I know it's crazy to talk about softness about Sasuke when he just pierced Sakura's heart but IDK, there is something about him... I'm happy someone is thinking a little like me about it. I'm not crazy then lol.

You are not the only one. Though my opinion is not as pro Sasuke as yours. I dunno if I am wrong on this one but....I really do feel that Sasuke is still mellow towards team 7 and Naruto especially. At the moment, he doesn't care about anyone but...the one he care about/will care about....the most is...Naruto but that bastard just rejects that feelings Neither am I kidding nor am I being sarcastic. Really, I dunno why but like @Tricksie said, Sasuke saying "Idk what she likes in me" came as the fact that Sasuke knew he was evil and....bad and that he knew that his way was harsh and ruthless and whatever it was but he just doesn't care. To me, he comes as a person who is afraid of his own emotions and doesn't want the pain that follows the emotions.

It strikes me everytime and uptil now I've been wondering about his but...leaving apart the past stuff when they had Kaguya to deal with, right now, Sasuke could've easily chidoried Sakura and killed her because as we all know, he doesn't think before slaughtering people. But yet, he chose to knock her out by using a genjutsu. Why did he do so when he had the power to kill her, right then and right there? Now don't get me wrong I am NOT justifying Sasuke or his actions. I still hate him real bad but I do want to understand him once.

Hell! I am going as far as to think that Sasuke knows that Sakura till now doesn't know what true love is and that what she feels for Naruto is true love and for him is the same as familial\comradship or whatever you wanna call that. And that's why he treats her like this just so that she understands he is not interested in her and not the right guy for her since its not true love to begin with. His way of showing that is wrong to the core..but hell...this is Sasuke we are talking about! I know this is not true...but I guess nothing's wrong in throwing my two cents...

I think byakugan and kaguya clan bone ability are not the juubi power.
It's purely come from herself(until prove otherwise).
The ultimate rinnegan is the jubi one eye. It is rinnegan with 3 tomoe in all of it's circle.

No, I don't look at it like that, but then again 0.01% is not exactly the right percentage now is it? I think it is a lot higher than that. Especially when I know 10 girls like this off the back of my mind that I know of. And no, not all females in these series are like that. Temari, Tsunade, Ten-Ten, so many females have nothing of that sort at all going on about them. They are just regular girls with their own personalities. I'm sorry, but you can't ignore them otherwise you are doing what you just say not to do.

You're looking at 4 girls and assuming that is the outlier for the entire female population for the Naruto manga. That's like me looking at Naruto, Kakashi, and Sasuke, and Minato and saying "all the guys in this show are just like these four."

But do you realise that there is a difference of having one character like that and having all the characters representing the same bs? Doesn't that tell you something about the writing?

 

EDIT: Okay, not "all". But these girls have more panels than any other girl in the series. I mean, the only girls that are constantly showed are involved just in love.  That's their plot. That's their story. That's their development or that's what makes them suffer.
