KOREAN SCANS ARE OUT!!!!!! : http://www.shencomic...rchives/1671961

This does not look good I swear  :pinch: .

Well at least Hisako and Erina's foodgasm was beautifully done and Erina flipping back her hair the old fashioned way :excited:

Well that went almost as predicted, he lost but impressed the number one seat enough to realise Souma is better off just working on his own. Honestly kinda dissapointed, as for the revelations about Megumi etc just reminded me of so many Manga's where the MC manages to pull the rest of his friends up through his dedication and hard work, seriously felt like a case of Deja vu reading that part.

I don't know, if he actually lost and joined the Council it would certainly make for a potential interesting storyline but that wasn't going to happen, and Souma winning would have caused a riot, with fans burning volumes in the street...but I'd probably still end up being dissapointed, the manner in which the manga revealed Erina's father and the way he took over was a mistake from the mangaka, and I think it has hurt the manga since.

Though the shining point since has been Alice and Hisako's charactor development as well as Rindou's introduction.

Instead of thank heaven Totsuki has a talented new fresh student, that devil wants to break their will separately ?? why ?? doesn't make sense to me ...

In my experience in every school or club or any organization like basketball or soccer you always want to recruit a talented people and maintain/expand their talent further ... not to break their will and destroy their talent. Am i seeing this in a wrong light??

Nope, you pretty much nailed it, this entire arc and their reasoning just doesn't make any sense, even the argument the number one seat gave of destroying the entire Japense fast food market doesn't explain why they'd want to destroy the will of those with talent and skill to actually fulfill that dream.

It's a dictatorship, and the Elite 10 are apparently idiots who don't realise that they are all contributing to building a communist society that conforms to the standard set by one individual and what he feels is suitable for human consumption. They need to end this arc and get rid of the Azami already, it's not a good direction the manga is going in,and I feel the popularity of the manga is taking a hit because of it.

I don't know why you torture yourself with this very, very mediocre manga when you could be reading a much better Jump title than this. Horikoshi is by far and away the best author Jump has right now. You're really missing out on an epic event in MHA right now. I know you're wary of Jump titles because of your past experiences. But trust me, it is unlike a lot of Jump mangas in many aspects.

Um, not even close. Oda is most definitely the best, and Togashi is no one to sneeze at either.

As I've said before after Naruto's end I refuse to pick up any new SWJ manga's Shokugeki is one of those I picked up before Naruto ended so I'm still reading it, same reason why i'm still reading Bleach dispite the manga not making any sense for years now. Once Bleach and Nisekoi ends, OP and Shokugeki will be the only SWJ manga's I read. Horikoshi might be a good auther, but is previous work was a let down, it felt like a typical SWJ that felt like a subpar Naruto wannabe, he seems to have done a better job with his current work but i'll never know.

It's not the Manga that's mediocre but the current arc with the main antagonist and his reasoning, he's such a cliche charactor, who stands out for all the wrong reasons, in a manga where everyone else is so colourful and memorable, he is kinda dull with no real...well for a lack of a better word charactor, the manga was going in the right direction with Souma's battle with the number eight seat, then all this happened.

Actually all of them are cliche'd (in this one). It's why I can never get why people like this manga, aside from the food porn. Heck, Soma's not even that interesting either. His "ultimate loser" aspect of his character was interesting at first, but it's gotten to Marty Stu levels in the same way Erza's been Mary-sued. He takes unnecessary risks and suffers no consequences whatsoever for his actions like this match.

As for Horikoshi: Y'see, that's the thing- his editors set him up for failure on purpose with his previous mangas. The editorial team realized his potential, but they knew he was still very inexperienced. What they saw in him when he first joined was a massive bundle of creativity and passion, but also lacking the experience. In his previous mangas, Horikoshi lacked the ability to build up an overarching plot to draw the readers in.

The first one was to see how far his creativity can go (Oumazoo). They knew it wasn't going to be a hit, but they still went to see what this kid could show. The next one was a more by-the-books shonen, but it wasn't something he had any passion for. That was absolutely fine. They just wanted him to get used to more conventional tropes. Finally, his 3rd try was something the editors counted on. All of those failures were calculated moves to polish him for a long-running series. His editors had planned this all along, so what they did was to have Horikoshi combine the good parts from two of his previous mangas into his current manga, and now it's beating out OP for the top spot in weekly ranks.

The quality of his writing is like heaven and earth if you compare it to his previous mangas. Even those who've been around for him since Oumazoo has been surprised by the leap in quality. And it's worth noting he went through a depression period for some time, but his editor who's been planning all of this along had faith in him and that his gamble will pay off really big.

If you really want to get technical, the first chapter of MHA debuted a good 5-6 months before Naruto ended. You refuse to pick up WSJ mangas after Nardo ended, but Horikoshi debuted MHA before it ended. By that logic, you should be picking up MHA.

It has nothing to do with when the manga started, the manga didn't sound interesting when released, the whole high school hero thing is not exactly original, so I figured I'd wait, and by the time I might be remotely interested, Naruto ended and I lost faith in the SWJ catalogue, If they could not give their second most popular manga the freedom to end in a fitting manner instead position it for possible future milking oppertunities at the expense of the main charactors, then what chance do other manga's that are not the global brand Naruto is have? If you lose faith in a brand it doesn't mattter how new and exciting their products sound, you will be weary of them in the future.

Well the mistake may not be bringing him into the story but how he is handled.  Say for instance if he was introduced but was not shoehorned to be new director or very arbitrary reasons at best but it TRYING to wrest control of Totsuki would have been better if not great. then things would not have been backed into a corner like this. But your point is valid

As I said the manner in which he was introduced, not that he was introduced. I was actually quite excited when he was revealed, but as you said the way he got shoehorned in with him taking over the way he did, just drags the whole manga down, it gives me the same negative vibes I felt years ago when the final battle with Aizen was takng place in Bleach. You felt insulted as a reader with the way things unfold.

This weeks chapter was a mess, the humour felt completely out of place, and the previous chapters felt pointless as the opening pages pretty much made them that.

Also maybe it's just me but ... the author seems to forgot when the previous director (Erina's grandfather) bow his head down and asking Souma to help free Erina from that devil ... but it's been too long and many chapter has pass since that, seems like it's already forgotten, also Azami at start wants to bring Erina back into his mansion like crazy but now it seems he doesn't care about that anymore.
