I wonder for how long we'll have to speculate about the mystery woman. Let's hope that in the next issue of Jump more adult rookie sketches are released, including one for Hinata so that we can put all this to rest.

 

One thing I noticed about the mystery woman is that her hair is a little puffy (don't know if that's the right word to describe it). That's to say that the hair around her head goes quite to the side and takes a circular shape going down. But Hinata's hair is extremely straight so it goes down in a straight line. Then again I could be overthinking it.

 

Besides, why would Kishi put a mystery Hinata sketch with Naruto? The only reason I could imagine is because they're going to be a couple, but the problem with that is that it doesn't make any sense whatsoever with the rest of the story, so in the end it can't be Hinata.

 

Don't think about whether the sketch is Hinata or not, think about whether or not it would make sense for it to be Hinata going by the story. The answer is that it wouldn't make sense, therefore it's really not Hinata.

It could be movie exclusive. It may be Kishi's but that doesn't mean you can't create an original character.

Hinatas hair and nature of her hair is completely different from that of the sketch. Its spikey and messy. Hinatas hair, regardless of the length, always is straight and falls down, not messy at all not to mention hinatas signaturw side bangs, theyre clumped up, not seperated at all. I doubt kishi is gonna pay much attention to hinatas new design and make a big change, shes not a major character, basically i doubt hes gonna change her hair one bit. And if he does, that'd make me Halle Berry, which im not.

Plus, logically hinata doesnt fit in the puzzle. It could be anyone, my bets are ayame or later sakura.

But then again I kind of hate the fact that the movie is canon..bleh.. because it spoilers things while we aren't as far atm. That doesn't make sense and I can't believe how s.o. would actually do that story wise.

I mean right now we know that sakura shikamaru and sai survive. Sure it's not a big surprise but still hello? How can you spoiler such things? This is not snk I am not expecting too many plot twists but as a writer doesn't you want to hold that option open? Wow I rly don't understand that

It could be movie exclusive. It may be Kishi's but that doesn't mean you can't create an original character.

If it was someone we didn't know why not just show her appearance instead of hide it. When a movie comes out with a movie exclusive character we see their full design but there's nothing here like he wants to hide it.

 

It could just be Sakura during the epilogue but that would suck because the last thing I want is for NS to be resolved by the end.

Yeah we can all confirm that Naruto will not be ending before the movie at this point especielly with Kakashi as the next hokage and there being a break next week.

What bothers the crap out of me now is that Kishi totally gave my hopes up and now the exact opposite of what I want is happening. Its like offering a 5 year old chocolate cake for his birthday but surprise its actually a pile of dog turds


...No RTN isn't canon because of consistency issues, if its made by the creator and fits into the timeline, then its canon.

Fitting in a timeline doesn't make a movie canon even if its from the author  there is no such rule . for the last time a movie is canon only if the Author confirms it as canon not the other way around you can't deemed it canon if it isn't confirmed as such . And a canon material always affects the manga big or small the events will matter then that is why we call it canon .
