This is very true, I remember I got so pissed after 614. Because she basically threw herself over Naruto, facing him and not the woodspikes, only to make Neji sacrifice himself. Bravo. The "take me instead" attitude has been ticking me off for a while.

This. I'm super annoyed with the sacrificial BS. It really is in fact getting old IMO, and what's crazy is that that's all anti's cling to. The fact that she's so sacrificial, and because of this, she deserves Naruto? It's ridiculous.

Nah he meant in bed, he must be remembering how wild Kushina was so is asking her to be gentle with his son...I mean buildings could fall around them...which kinda reminds me of a scene from Buffy the Vampire slayer.

Remember kishi keeps his characters as he sees fit, its the fanbases that twist these things to unreal proportions. Kinda like how people said Tsunade was weak and useless for training Sakura or how people over estimated Kiasames power, a few people did that from time to time.

Well for anyone wanting the translation, 天地長久, said this:

 

yes, literally it's correct as I translated it in thread of chapter 631... Minato says "Please don't be too hard on my son/Please go easy on my son..." but the real meaning of these words is just "I entrust you my son.../Take care of my son".

So we can assume Minato is simply saying for Sakura to take care of Naruto. Either way the "please don't go hard on him" or "take care of him" can refer to Minato trusting Sakura to care for Naruto. Its much easier said in the take care or I entrust him to you ways, the "please go easy on him" one though, that although not directly saying, it can work in the same context as "care gently for my son."

 

So all translations here simply mean Minato trusts Sakura with Naruto, caring for him as a girlriend/lover. Either way no matter how its translated, he still gets the kushina thoughts and is reminded of her because of Sakura. So no matter the translation, its still Sakura-Kushina.

I checked ohana for spoilers, but no spoilers its pretty much the only website that's reliable for spoilers.

 

Before i log out i want to talk about how we should be careful of our expectations we could go back to kakashi and obito or we can get a slow built up fight scene for sakura and team 7. We might not get a power up as asap, but it could slowly built up to it. 

 

In general i hope we don't get a major disappointment.

Specifically, the "please take care of my X" phrase is often used upon meeting the romantic interest of a child or sibling, when the family approves of the romantic interest in question.  It can be quite funny when the family thinks that the romantic interest is a class above them, since they'll totally bow down and everything.

When I think about it, the women have always been the ones "wearing the pants" in the Naruto world. I remember this with Temari, Shikamaru's mother  (even in his final words Shikaku was kinda scared), and now Kushina. Plus from what it seems like, Mito might have also been like this too. XD

I think it's said regardless of gender.  And not necessarily always in a romantic sense, for that matter, although from a parent to a child's probably romantic interest, that's usually the case.
