Oh, that's what you're talking about. I thought that was suppose to be Sakura, but looking at it carefully......I still think it's Naruto and Sakura. Both of the figures are the same height, just like Naruto and Sakura, and neither seem to have long hair (one person seems to have the spiky hair look that Naruto and Minato have, the other person seems to me to have Sakura's sort hair look, but that's just me). If you think I'm over analyzing it, I'm not. These are literally the first things that came to me when I saw that picture. But it doesn't mean I'm right.

Yeah, you can just barely tell it's Naruto there. Considering it's just one person, and where they are (with an image of her father, and yeah I agree with the person that said it looks like Minato is the 5th instead of Tsunade- the hair fits with Minato's instead of Tsunade's), and that Sakura is a main character in this movie, I say it's highly likely that it is Sakura with Naruto.

One of them is definitely Naruto, but its pretty hard to tell who the other is. I think its likely to be Kushina, but Sakura is also a possibility.

Yeah, I already check that. It's starting to be Naruto and Sakura, but trying to get too high hope. It always backfire, I think.

The other shot has like the side view and it does seems it's them. If it is them, you think this is what the voice actors teasing about?

To be honest, perhaps that right person pic isn't clear enough for all of us. The reason is because it looks like the background, which is dark, rather than a person hair. If you noticed, Naruto and other person's head are only outlined. There is no shade inside. Also, if you look at the first pic of the mountain, you can see both of them with no shaded part. Lastly, I would say Kushina, but isn't her hair very long, even with a shinobi combat suit?

I would agree with you, but Naruto's head is clearly not shaded, and the person next to him isn't fully covered by the dark background.

But its rather redundant to speculate about figures that we can hardly see. It could be any character sitting next to him.

Exactly, the person that drew that outline made up the long hair line on the other figure- you can see the unaltered sketch and see the lines don't match up at all. It's pretty obvious from the fake hair style the outliner did they were trying to suggest it was Hinata there with Naruto.

Well, yeah. Besides, Hinata's hair is longer. I just rechecked the sketch and her hair almost hit her hip area. So yeah, unless she tie her heir, it's not her.

Actually, that's because one part has a line, which is part of the holder of its stairs. It's really blurry (how coincidence). But the other sketch says otherwise. Who knows. Just wait I guess.

The characters aren't shaded at all. They're just outlines for an animation scene. One looks darker because their head is over the bars of the dark background.

Well we can be sure that there is no fake outlining going on. The character's hair is either hidden or shaded, but the pic isn't fake.

Well, I meant to say that left part of the sketch. It's clearer but it still don't help. Only thing to say is it's not shaded. And if the outline is correct (the one the guy made) then it's still not Hinata to say the least. Her hair is longer and they're straight. This one is like spiky down. Like I said, we should just wait and see. I'm not saying I'm 100% right, but this is a good speculation.

I don't know what's that about. IF it's part of the movie, I hope it's a tease to Naruto like "OH~ Is she your girlfriend?" Still not sure how they will meet for the first time. Maybe they will meet the very first time in the forest, where they got genjutsu at. I mean when you look at the trailer with the hug, it seems like Naruto was lost yet so happy because she is physically alive. Yeah, I have done too much speculation. This is what happened when you have a boring job.

I was talking about the close up you linked to with the orange outlines some one added fake lines on the other figure to make it look like Hinata's type hairstyle. It doesn't follow the figure sketch lines where what may be a ponytail- Kushina, or a railing post- the figure is totally unclear, sketched in even more vague than Naruto's.

It could be Kushina. Me hope for Sakura. If it is Kushina, they probably talk about Naruto's future to be the man they hoped him to be. Probably a recap from manga lines, the one about find the girl that's like me, etc. Time will tell.

I keep hearing people talk about how Kushina will make a comment on how Sakura is Naruto's girlfriend. I think it's highly likely. In the manga, there's been multiple shots at Naruto from the summoning frogs, Konohamaru, (and I think there was something else too, not sure) of how him and Sakura were a couple. ^^ I think it's only common sense for Kushina to probe Naruto about how to treat a girl or something. She'd probably drag Sakura off somewhere and have a girl-to-girl talk with her leaving Sakura like:

To be completely honest, after squinting at that picture for ages, I realized that it's impossible to even begin to speculate just who is sitting with Naruto. Because the background is already there in detail, and the person is just a vague outline, it is literally impossible to tell who it is. I personally couldn't tell if it was hair shading, or details on the back of the shirt (like Sakura has), because as kira pointed out, the second figure's head is pretty much all over the dark portion of the background. Also, the second person's hair is definitely not shaded in on the bigger part of the picture (where you can see the heads on the hokage mountain).

It would make the most sense for Naruto to be talking with either his parents, or Sakura there. Sakura, because they need to be alone to discuss getting out of the genjutsu, and because they want to get away from crazy genjutsu versions of the people they know, and his parents because they are also main characters and he never really got the chance to simply talk with them (though if this were the case, why not talk with them at their house?).

tldr: it's impossible to say for certain who's sitting beside Naruto at the Hokage mountain because (a) its tiny, and (b) its a vague sketched outline on top of a detailed background.
