It annoys the hell out of me too, but NS also gets plenty of fan service. Wasn't there one game where Naruto and Sakura were "fated lovers"? Also Naruto shippuden ending 16.

Yes, yes, I know. NaruHina is the pairing everyone's supposed to love a.k.a "fan-preferred couple". But the "Secret Lovers" thing is pushing things way too far to the point it defies the manga. At least with anime filler, they never really try to show Naruto showing more feelings towards Hinata than Sakura. They just tease things or strangely word things that can go either way.

 

Like, for example, this scene from one of the fillers. Naruto needed Hinata's Byakugan for something and he came up to Hinata and asked her in this way:

 

Naruto: "Hinata! You're the one I want!"

Hinata: *starts blushing and smiling* "Oh ... Naruto-kun ... this is so ... all so sudden ... I don't ... I don't know what to say."

Naruto: (looks at Hinata sadly) "I need you, Hinata."

*Hinata starts blushing again and can't say anything*

Naruto: "Nevermind, I'll ask Neji!"

*walks away, leaving Hinata disappointed*

 

That's basically NH moments in the manga and the anime. They're either worded ambiguously or misinterpreted by Hinata because of the wording. And all the NH focus in the recent games or fillers is just for marketing. Abusing a popularity of a ship even if it's not canon for money makes sense. I'm guessing that's the purpose of the NH in games and the whole Mecha-Naruto/Hinata/Naruto crap coming soon.

 

I understand why NH's popular, but it still annoys me just how popular it is. I could maybe share it if Hinata wasn't so self-involved with her affections, but she's not so I don't think she's right for Naruto. She is selfish about her feelings for him, even if it's not on purpose. But none of the NaruHina fans ever pay attention to that and say Hinata's better when Sakura's the more selfless one for Naruto out of the two. It's just stupid.

Sakura's reaction to that- "You idiot, saying stuff like that at a time like this". 

I hated that filler story. Pathetic Pierott Studios replaced Sakura with Hinata as heroine and made her really shine. Especially the last part when the rookies together bring down the summoned bird and Naruto forgets all the other rookies help and just says "We did it Hinata"

I love how NH expects us to sympathize with Hinata because she's so shy, delicate, and would be so heartbroken to see Naruto rejecting her or being with Sakura, but they don't sympathize with Naruto at all when it comes to his love with Sakura, even when the story explicitly shows that he is a love martyr. They talk about Hinata "deserving" Naruto (love isn't about deserving, I know) but fail to consider Naruto when it comes to Sakura. They think Kishi would have Naruto fall in love with the shy-woobie character simply because they think Kishi wouldn't want to disappoint such a character, but then treat the titular character's martyr feelings like kitten or try to label it as a crush.

NaruHina fans label Naruto's feelings as a crush or worse non-existent because they need that denial to believe in NH. Because they know if even a part of them admits Naruto has feeling for Sakura or even ever loved her, then their ship will never happen. 631 is just a "joke" for them because they can't handle the truth.

 

It's funny. Most NS fans I know and even me before 675 never had a problem saying Sakura loves/has feelings for Sasuke or at least believes it, but will still pick Naruto in the end. Yet a lot of the NH fans can't even do that lol.

I've noticed that every single argument for NH (and sometimes SS), even by the most logical debaters (in NF specifically), relies on Naruto not really having deep feelings for Sakura, that he "moved on" from Sakura when he said that she was lying to herself during her confession, or that when he said that it wasn't about the promise it meant that Sai was wrong about Naruto loving her because his original purpose didn't have anything to do with his romantic feelings . All three of these are illogical and inconsistent with that the story has shown us, and it's really just mental gymnastics to try and deny Naruto's interest and/or deep feelings for Sakura. Both NH and SS rely on them and we know very well how wrong they are, so just by that knowledge we should know that their pairings obviously aren't going to happen.

They are as it is not gonna happen. What remains to see is how things happen......how does everyone involved in romance subplot get a resolution.


P.S- I won't mind if Kishi shows how Shinachiku came into existence. If you know what I mean

Thinking of question to kill time. Once it hits Monday, I can sense everyone being in small panic mode. Tuesday, my god, this place is going to be very busy.

It wouldn't be the first time a character get popular and just receive ton of attention to him/herself. Anyway, you know, somehow, I'm starting to learn why people start to hate something popular things. Part of it is overexposure to the point it's not really that person anymore. What's once a moment or two become a dozen, and perhaps a dozen too much. In other words, if the character is limited to begin with, that character shouldn't be used by media and repeat the traits dozen more to exposure that person or go beyond with fan service and breaking new backstory that won't be that character anymore.

 

I would write more on this one day.

To be honest the more the story advances, the more I believe Kishi is not going to kill Sasuke. That he's going to live "happily ever after".

But you are forgetting Sakura is not the emotional, weak girl she was in Part 1. She is more than capable of helping Naruto herself.

Plus Naruto isn't gonna get himself in such predicaments . He is the hero after all.

I think the real problem is her status with Sasuke. Trust level is zero.

She's barely even conscious right now, the only person close to his or Kaguya's level now is Sasuke.

True. Asking Sasuke to protect  Naruto when Sasuke wants to kill him doesn't make sense.

But, reverse PoAL? meh, wouldn't that make Sakura look bad?

She isn't aware Sasuke wants to kill Naruto all she knows is that his motives for being hokage are going to be questionable.

Tbh even Kishi sometimes replaces Sakura's rule for Hinata. He always makes her shine.

She hasn't gotten any for 70 chapters and she falls under other side characters' shine. I don't see it. Now she's out, I definitely don't see it.

I don't disagree that Naruto needs help. But Sasuke is going to help Naruto anyway. Why must she ask him specially?

What would it mean from the story point of view? To show how much she has changed? Isn't it already clear that she has? Such request downs both herself and Naruto and elevates Sasuke!

You don't know that yet. Naruto could give her chakra and she might play an important role in beating Kaguya. I prefer to think Kakashi and Sakura will contribute to the fight.
