Heads up you guys Breezy's Entertainment and I are going to be doing a Series Overview Livestream on Fairy Tail Zero at 11:00 PM CST. 

 

 

This is for people who have finished reading Fairy Tail Zero.

 

For the people who haven't finished or haven't even read Fairy Tail Zero stay away from the livestream cause their are going to be spoilers.

Great finish!!! although it still hasn't explained some things but I guess they will be in the main series.

I enjoyed Zero. Unpopular opinion, I was happy that this didn't show anything significant to the main story. Otherwise, I'll be like with Naruto: collecting treasures all over the map.

I agree that's one of the few things I've seen people complain like oh we didn't get to figure out how Mavis died or why Precht turned evil, how Yury died, and I'm like that's what the original series is for. Mavis is still somewhat alive so it only make sense that we find out there otherwise it just takes the mystery away from the series.

Couldn't have said it any better myself, that's one of the few things that makes Fairy Tail Zero work while Gaiden just relied too much on the older characters. Here we didn't see Natsu, Lucy, Erza, Gray, Juvia, Gajeel, Levi, etc cause it isn't their story it was a story on the first guild master Mavis for obvious reasons. The only big character that made a small cameo was Zeref, but he didn't really overshadow Mavis's shine. 

 

 

 

Now here are a few honest questions I have to ask you guys, What were your thoughts on Mavis before you read Zero? What did you think of her afterwards? and did reading Fairy Tail Zero make her become one your of favorite characters?  

 

 

I'll have to say reading this spin off made me give a huge amount of respect for Mavis's character, and I think she's definitely in my top 10 for sure.

So I just finished watching the latest episode of Fairy Tail and Holy hell it was amazing, I should really check back and see how A-1 pictures been adapting The Tartarus arc cause so based on this episode I feel like they are doing a great job.

So I just finished watching the latest episode of Fairy Tail and Holy hell it was amazing, I should really check back and see how A-1 pictures been adapting The Tartarus arc cause so based on this episode I feel like they are doing a great job. 

Here's the thing you should know:
-Art color changed from earlier version due to "dark" nature of this arc
-Taken more serious rather than childish play like earlier episodes (example: commercials breaks is no longer childish cats, preview is more serious)
-Newer OSTs
-Less filler comedy by cats/Natsu

That's all I got for now. I like this direction than last time. It felt childish before but here, it seems right.

So finally decided to give this series a go as ive downloaded all the episodes during my holidays.

 

So far so good, im 40ish episodes in, and loving it!

 

Altho i'm conflicted between NaLu and NatsuxEzra

 

I just dont like Ezra with that blue haired evil looking guy. :3

 

Edit: i've been hit with the feels train so many times, i lost count.

In terms of shipping just wait till you get to episode 94 or 95 cause something happens that may or may not conflict you. Don't worry I won't spoil anything for ha.

I've seen many people say Celestial Mages is weak and I have to disagree. I think it's a rare and complicated magic. People seem to forget that Summoning a spirit aka a zodiac takes a lot of magic power and to keep the gate open constantly drains the user. Which I'm glad Lucy get's her current upgrade because not only does she have two origins but it get's increased when she uses a zodiacs power on herself. SO basically she get's 3 origins in a way.

Not only that, Celestial Mages seem to able to use caster magic as well however those spells are rare as it is aka Urano Metria which is a lost magic.

Sorry!!! I didn't know! Damn me! I seriously didn't know. Well, it's a good thing I stopped myself from going further. So are you reading or watching?

 
Actually it was my fault for not being specific about it. I'm currently watching the anime because i'm too lazy to read the manga all over again. I'm currently at the Anima arc between both worlds and nearl the point where I dropped the manga back in 2012. I vaguely remembered it because I only read FT within a year and never followed the series like Bleach. All I remembered was I dropped the manga somewhere between chapter 250-300 and it was on the story where FT goes to war with an immensely powerful dark guild that is lead by Makarov's predecessor. Something like that.
 

Latest anime  episode is at around chapter 373 I think , after they start the battle against Tartaros . Wendy's fight will be in the next episode or the one after that most likely .

Thank you. Know I don't need to go through the entire manga when I caught up with all the anime.
