This fight is starting off great. 8% Full Cowl debut. Hopefully Deku cracks Bakugo once across the mouth good as repayment for all the years of bullying.

Fun fact: I just found out that Kohei actually addressed the infamous 1,000,000%. Even though I know better, it's great to hear him acknowledge it and correct it for good.

Like many said, a roar cry. It's like saying out loud like you want to mean it. Like if Goku go Kaioken and say power up to the max, you don't know how much is it but he's screaming to go all out.

Generally, he was shouting 1,000,000% to motivate himself and push past is limit. It didn't literally mean I mil' percent it was just, in general, hysterical strength surpassing the limits of One for All's 100%

Remember the fight Naruto and Sasuke had on top of the roof of the hospital? Where Kakashi broke up the fight? Then let them both go off on their own while he had a talk with Jiraiya on why Sasuke was angry at Naruto (he has an inferiority/superiority complex where; he has to be the best and seeing Naruto catch up terrifies him, since that makes him feels like he is stagnating) and why Naruto agreed to the fight (he wants acknowledgment from Sasuke). Then ask Jiraiya to take care of Naruto (who didn't need a talk) while he took care of Sasuke. Where while he had a talk that seem to have some impact but sadly forgot that Sasuke would probably take revenge over bonds if given the choice.

 

Here All Might lets them fight it out while waiting till they were done. Then sat the boys down and explained to them what the problem between them is: Kaachan reveres strength over everything and didn't understand why a weakling like deku charges into situations he stands no chance in, so he fears Deku's spirit. While Deku admires kaachan strength and look up to him but kaachan has too thick a head to listen to him when he says it, also he still some what lack confidence in himself. All Might then tells them the answer to make them both get over their issue and become better heroes.

 

The best thing they could do is work together to fix out their flaws and make them both better people and heroes.

 

Because of that alone, All Might is a better teacher then Kakashi.

Naruto does have it good moment...normally when Sasuke(or Hinata) is not involved in anyway to the plot of the chapter.

Yeah I was actually thinking "It's the poll's fault!!"  But in all honesty

I preferred if Izuku won to take down Katsuki's ego some more. realistically speaking I think losing is what will make him develop, not just being handed everything like he has for his whole kittening life. How is he supposed to realistically develop, if he thinks that his current self will always win fights? I don't like that concept one bit, and to my experience being hotheaded means yo're NOT thinking so being short tempered but calculating is not believable

I can see why Horikoshi let Bakugo win this time. Izuku won their first fight, but it's also to let All-Might's words simmer in to Bakugo. If Izuku won, then Bakugo wouldn't probably understand All-Might saying that his strength is a great feat/something to admire if he lost to Izuku here. He'd just think he was pandering to him. This way, they're now at 1-1 and when they develop more, they can have an all out tie-breaker fight.

Now I hope this allows them to get their friendship/rivalry to a healthy level to allow them to get better. Since Bakugo is let in on the secret, that will undoubtedly bring him and Izuku closer.

I do think All-Might is a way better teacher than Kakashi for taking his time to explain to BOTH Bakugo and Izuku what the problem was.

Great chapter. Can't wait for this fight to get animated.

Nah that one wasn't necessarily a victory, Izuku and Ochako won by the rules of the the lesson, but Izuku didn't win in a direct fight although he probably would have killed Katsuki if he did hit him. What you say does make sense,I'm just not fond of Izuku playing second fiddle to Katsuki by always losing to him the time when they fight all this time. Besides while Katsuki is prideful and arrogant, he isn't so narrowed minded that he wouldn't pay attention to All Might's if he lost. Anyway I'm not satisfied personally speaking because this does NOT resolve the Izuku and Katsuki conflict, which is the main point of the fight in the first place. Katsuki will NEVER get what Izuku is saying about him about their relationship until he the latter wins I feel, and that in turn will at least drive the former to genuinely improve.

 

Not that I'm saying that Katsuki doesn't have the drive to improve, but seriously some of his victories are handed to him on a silver platter like the fesival arc conclusion. What I want is for him to grow by losing at least once, and genuinely lose so that he will self reflect more. As his mother said, the main reason for his  A-hole like personality is because he is handed everything to him froma young age because he is "talented", so maybe actually losing to Izuku, might be a good lesson for him even if that doesn't change his core character. Though again admittedly I also don't enjoy too much that Izuku is allways talking about catching up to him but still loses. I've seen enough of that already, if you catch my drift

I'm fine with this. The series indirectly acknowledge the bond isn't that strong so the next step is to evolve that. If it can go well, then that's terrific. If not, well you tried. I'm glad he don't have to go dark to make the rivalry great.

So glad I dropped this garbage. Can't stand Bakugou, and I hate Deku's acceptance of this a-hole. The popularity poll is a good indication of how much panel time Bakugou will receive and things going in his favor.

 

You can try to list all the minimal things that separate their relationship from Naruto & Sasuke. But all I see is the main elements that made me hate the series. '

 

1). Deku being a complete beta male and allowing garbage like Bakugou to walk all over him and insult him at every turn

 

2). Bakugou being a complete scumbag and having no remorse for his actions towards Deku

 

3). Author continuing to showcase the friendship abuse as if nothing is wrong.

 

I hate bullies with every fiber of my being. I was constantly bullied in middle school and high school a lot until I started going to the gym. It's why I can no longer continue reading this filth.

 

I'm honestly insulted by the number of people who enjoy reading their interaction. I could no longer stomach Deku's beta male personality in the presence of Bakugo, and Bakugo's constant attitude towards Deku and everyone else for that matter. And no, I don't give a damn what his reasons are. There is absolutely no excuse to treat people like this, and there's no excuse for someone to act all buddy-buddy towards that person.

 

 

I'm sorry if I offended anyone with this post, but I felt I needed to get this off my chest.

I don't blame you. What disgusts me even more are his fans who try to justify ever single thing he does, even his bullying. He may or may not change for the better after this, but one thing that is clear: he will (hopefully) not get away with this. If there's one thing that this series has reinforced over and over again, it's that every action has its consequences.

By explicitly breaking the rules this time, Bakugou will get his due punishment. Preferably, a demotion. If something like this does not happen, I too, am dropping the manga.
