The main team seems to be Naruto, Sakura, Shikamaru, and Sai though which makes me feel better.

Remember back in the day during the Chuunin exams when Kakashi said that the Byakugan was even stronger than the Sharingan? We all thought that the Byakugan's importance got retconned after that because of the whole Sharingan/Rinnegan focus. Maybe the movie will attempt to reconcile that plothole. (It'll end up falling flat since the series is pretty much over at this point, but this is one way that the plot can be relevant to lore.)

@TheQueenB:
True. Kishimoto's wishes will be reflected. But that's still a double-edged sword. That could easily work for our favor or completely destroy our chances: that's the realistic opinion here. The manga says NaruSaku and we should always look to the manga, but even I'll admit this overblown focus on Hinata's love is baffling and seems to come from absolutely nowhere.
I don't quite get this myself. If the true purpose is just Hinata getting closure, then why is Kishimoto revolving a whole movie about it and making her so sympathetic? I just don't understand ... add that with the contrived NH "props" we've seen from the advertisements and I don't even know what to think. ![]()

Denial, denial. We deny senseless panic.
I said my opinion.I don't want this thread to close so i'll end mine here.
Lastly,I have never seen something as retarded as this supposed new NH plot is.

Yeah, I would actually. The pairing wars is just the icing on the cake, but to reduce all the characters to crap because Kishimoto couldn't develop Hinata one tiny bit in the manga, give her this movie, continue to make her this rabid fan girl who STILL cannot just let Naruto go despite 3 years of never getting an answer, and continue to make her this pathetic damsel in distress whose only basic function is to "needed to be saved" is just absolute stupidity and garbage.
This movie should not have been made and it is an insult to every Naruto fan who ever lived even to the NH fans, but honestly they don't care. They got their precious Hinata moments they wanted for for so long...and all it took to give it to her is to lower every single person's bar. Remember the whole story of Naruto striving to be the hero? To gain the girl he loved and save his best friend? Forget it, we get Hinata. When I see this movie...I don't see "Naruto the manga." I see "Hinata: The love that never was so we had to make this up." Seriously, they inserted a memory that was never established before for a character that since the beginning of this manga made no impact to this story at all.
Is Hinata even going to care about her sister at all? I am not even sure if we are supposed to care about Hinata sister what so ever because not one advertisement talks about the movie what so ever. It is all the same thing "Hinata" and "love." That's it. No one cares about the moon falling from the sky. No one cares about hanabi being kidnapped or what plans this villain might do...all they care about....all this entire fanbase cares about is the stupid pairing wars and we have to destroy the story to do it.
Even Sasuke, who the manga basically followed more than ever, is even sidelined for it. And we all know how much of a favorite Sasuke is. This is a cheap movie. Not cheap as in money, but cheap as in cheap story plots just to play this Twilight crap for Hinata. Hinata is just a drug addict who cannot let go of her addiction and she can;t even protect her sister or run her clan without Naruto needed to save the day.
I can't even begin to point out all the bad stuff in this movie and this isn't even looking at the pairing stuff yet.
I agree with you that the advertisement so far has really been annoying. It's obvious which fandom they are targeting, and the lack of concern in Hinata for her sister is just disappointing. But you're being too emotional right now. The movie 110 min long. WHAT snippets of the movie have we seen so far: 2min or less, ok? Please give the movie a chance- even if it is HInata centred

Ill ask again what was the translation for the Sakura sketch narration a couple months ago?
Are you talking about this?
Narrator: 美人はそう -> This beautiful woman is Sakura uh…
Narrator: 女性らしさが増したサクラに きっとナルトは…。 -> should be basically “Surely Naruto is….. for Sakura which her womanhood has increased”

You can proclaim the movie to be as un-canon as you want, it doesn't change the fact that it's written by the original author and intended to set in the canonical universe. That is what the majority of the fandom will call it. All of the translations have mentioned this is the finale of Naruto's story (look at TheQueenB's post just a few pages back), I didn't make it out if thin air.The movie isn't the end of Naruto's story, that's what the manga is for. That's implying everything will be resolved in the movie. It's a continuation of the story that's connected to the manga. The manga is what matters in the end, because that's 100% canon. This movie? Yeah, but not to a full extent.
We have beautiful moments in the manga, and I'm not planning to toss them out just because they don't end up together. Shipping is not all about canon, seriously. You implied that if NH becomes canon in this movie, we'll have the manga... Unless I misunderstood you. I'm not patronizing anything, just emphasizing the fact that people shouldn't jump to freaking conclusions.
A fictional story is not a hard science. Retcons happen of the author feels like it. I don't want to repeat myself, but it is really that simple.I'm speaking from what we have from the manga for NS. It's because the manga and this movie are connected is why we won't probably get NH in this movie. Look at the Naruto's feelings for Sakura and how they're shown to us in the manga. They haven't changed. I'm also saying that we have to wait for 699/700 too before we it'll be clear to us where everything is going with pairings.
Because it would be extremely awkward if Naruto and Sakura are together in the main events if The Last if Hinata is fangirling about giving him a scarf.Bolded: how? Explain. What points to this in the trailer?

So, if the manga is headed toward NaruSaku, then the movie should also be consistent with it and also support it, since it has the same writer behind it, no?
And, like I've said, we still don't have enough context for anything in the film to actually make a call about its nature. We don't know whether it will, indeed, be centered around Hinata and her clan. We don't know the importance and role of different events and characters. A trailer that has only about 1 minute of footage doesn't give nearly enough information about the film, especially when everything is still kept vague.
Just because promotion is done from a certain angle in order to reel in an audience, it doesn't mean that it will be the bulk of the content that we will see.

TakeshiInazuma:The way Goku gave Ki to Frieza, He's able to passed out enough power for a whole galaxy, and still have enough to power down to 1% and solo Narutoverse.

What a funny is SP know Naruto won't have conversation or interaction with Hinata , and they know Naruto's eyes always on Sakura
so they need to make some asspull by Hinata's sister get kidnapping , to make some NH interaction hahahahahaha ![]()

Mmmmhmm...yeup...I am being too emotional....yeup. 2 minutes? Well, apparently those 2 minutes are the whole story in a nutshell according to SP and almost a good 90% of the Naruto fandom right now. Nobody cares, man. They don't care about the stupid moon plot or Hanabi being kidnapped. All anybody is saying is "Hinata, Scarf, Naruto....teeheeheehee."
I don't want to give this movie a chance because it is Hinata centered apparently. I didn't want pairing drama in this movie because I wanted that all resolved in the manga...not here. Not in this movie. Not like this. I wanted this to be something new...something moving forward, but like an anchor we have to keep reopening that kettle of fish.
It really is such a drag when the main character of his manga can't even be the main character.

I take my words back. It's not panic, it's hysteria. Stop being so self-destructive, people. You remind me of Sasuke-kun. And that is hardly a compliment.
