I don't know if you guys have already seen this, but apprently it's an interview with One Piece Editor who mentions that the manga is about 70% done.

Dressrosa will be the longest arc in One Piece. 
We knew it was at 50% like 4 or 5 years ago, so being around 70% now isn't a surprise. Emperor time!!!!!

Taking on a Yonku directly immediately seems too early. The conflict could spread to two or three islands considering the amount of territory they have.

Okay so I think we're getting another time skip. Did Naruto (as bad as it ended) become hokage right away? No, he had to wait until his 30s to become the hokage. In Luffy's case, not only would it be weird to be pirate king at 19-20 years old, but he isn't strong enough. Roger began his adventures on the sea with Rayleigh around the same age (if not the exact same) as Luffy did with Zoro. We saw he was much older when he made it to Raftel and learned the Void History. I'm positive that he also had to make a stop and get stronger. I would say that after this next arc, we will probably get the Straw Hats stopping for a little while so that they can train with the revolutionaries or something. I'm not saying Luffy needs to be 30, but somewhere more around 25.

we're not getting another time-skip after we just had one. luffy will improve as time goes on.
