I dont know..  it seemed to me that Naruto was already in love with Hinata but he just did not know it. Cupid Sakura and the Genjutsu scene basically made him realize it. Remember we are to believe that Naruto was a complete retard when it came to love. That is also why he thought hinata loved him the way he loved ramen.
 
It doesn't matter now either way. You are still right as the got the lesser of two evils. Even NaruSaku was no longer what it used to be for me after Sakura's confession. Kishimoto screwed everything up.

A couple points here:

 

1: I realize it's popular to pile on Naruto, but he doesn't owe Sakura anything. The older you get, the more you realize that loaning your friends large amounts of money is a bad, bad idea. Attacking Naruto for not helping out Sakura is piling on and being pretty unfair. There's enough legitimate stuff to criticize Naruto for.

 

2: Building on that, I get where AHK is coming from. People seem really quick to trash Naruto for any number of reasons while giving Sakura a pass. People in this thread keep bringing up stuff from The Last about how Naruto led Sakura on because of a rivalry. But they don't acknowledge that in the same conversation from the movie, Sakura admits that her confession was false. Unless I'm misremembering the scene as it was relayed on these boards. It shouldn't be a competition to see who is "worse," but it's definitely more popular to trash Naruto here and I find that very interesting.

i really hope you guys aren't falling for this obvious bait of karin being the mother. the edits are funny, but come on now. this is a red herring, just as kishi made ns similar to mk and have sakura look like kushina. that was a red herring and so is this.

"Loving" someone based on a rivalry is only ok when Sakura and Ino do it

Hinata doesn't look gloomy to me. And I really don't see any connections between Bolt and Sakura. There shouldn't be any reason to doubt that Hinata is Bolt's mother after the movie and Himawari's existance

  

And there shouldn't be any doubt that Kishi would never threw out logic and character developments and his story for the sake of fan service back then. Oh boy that I was wrong. With this guys there is always a 100% chance that he can do retcon over retcon simply because his country folks are hating NH and he failed with TL campaign towards the west. Screw what we see in the data books about how much Sarada is Sakura's and Bolt is Hinatas until the fat lady sings.

Obito didn't really died for "nothing" since it was pretty much written that he'd die , besides he got pretty chummy in after life with Rin even after everything he did and got to give Kakashi a stupid asspull power up in the end 

 

That's why it would make more sense if you said Nagato and/or Konan in the place of the "coolest guy"

While Nagato and Konan aren't worse than Obito they too were scumbags, Nagato killed children and co-founded an organization that hunted innocent people and getting civilian killed in the process and Konan supports him, none of them deserve praise for saving Naruto when they helped create the situation.

Well see now I have two things. 

 

1. Naruto is the hokage. He could give her a house for free if he wanted to. Also, he should know that raising an Uchiha is a hard enough task already. Something could easily piss Sarada off (like never seeing her father) and everything will go downhill from there. 

 

2. People in the Narusaku fandom give Sakura way too much of a free pass and it's so hypocritical of us. How can we easily bash Naruto and Hinata but not Sakura? Her actions need to be accounted for. It was her decision to guilt trip and push her feelings on Sasuke. It was her decision to pro create with him, knowing d*mn well that he had no interest in her or the village. It was her decision to not further pursue her career as a medical ninja and financially support her family. Honestly she seems like the type of person who would have a child just to tie somebody down.

Not really gonna care what the end result is about who Sarada's mother is, but basically this is the chapter for SauSaku left in despair as to how 615 left us for a while.  Which is kinda funny tbh.

The point of that chapter was to attract the SK and NS fandoms to make them believe they still had a chance, because clearly The Last failed, and the only reason Naruto was making money for him was because the main 4 had no idea where his story would go.

Because we were talking about Sakura. Sakura is the topic of the conversation, thus I was talking about Sakura. How is that strange?

Sorry, that is a bigger bullsh** excuse than I have ever saw one. If I was talking about Hinata....someone ALWAYS goes back to Sakura some how. If I am talking about Sasuke...Sakura gets automatically put into the mix and her fake confession gets brought over and over and over again.

Oh but isn't this about Hinata...didn't you remember? Seeing how she is the main heroine and all, who gives a crap about Sakura? Shouldn't we be focusing all our attention the main heroine that Kishimoto wanted us to see?

That's all anyone does around here is talk about Sakura and her flaws or mistakes or anything of that nature...do none of you understand this? This is why I left this place because all I ever see is the same topic over and over and over again.

IT MEANS NOTHING. You shouldn't even be looking at the original manga anymore because it has all been retconned into oblivion. So like I said. IT DOESN'T MATTER ANYMORE. Real or fake, it has become irrelevant to Kishimoto.

This is why I left this site last time because instead of looking at the smart and realistic logic that Kishimoto can't even get his own story straight to the point that he retcons it almost every single rendition, we have to keep going back to Sakura's "fake confession" because apparently this is the most important topic of all even though Kishimoto has said in an interview that she was being an honest girl.

You keep saying it is a fake confession over and over again when Kishimoto, at the time, said it wasn't. Of course, NOW it "looks" fake because Sakura was depicted as still being into Sasuke, but instead of being the smart people that I know you all are...you instead look at the past manga pages that were retconned by Kishimoto since 699.

This is why I left, because instead of listening...taking a step back and looking at the biggest issues...you continue to rehash the same arguments over and over again.

EVERYONE IN NARUTO IS A BAD PERSON and you know why that is? Because Kishimoto forced plot points into the story to make Naruto be with Hinata and that's all. I said that SS wasn't real, but just a byproduct to get Sakura out of the way and I was just proven right by the interviews given and by this first chapter right now.

"Naruto shouldn't give Sakura freebees" Oh so none of you have loaned your friend money? So none of ever wanted to help a friend out in a mist of trouble knowing what they go through? Wow, you people are heartless. It's not about owing anything. It's about caring about people; something that Naruto seems to have forgotten.

Speaking of which, noone ever talks about how it is supposed to Sasuke's responsibility to take care of his family and he is too busy doing god knows what for 12 years.

Do any of you really understand what it means to "retcon" a story? It means you rewrite a scene from what it was original intended to something else to suit story means. So Sakura could have been telling the truth and not being manipulative at all, but now she is because Kishimoto retconned it since then. That is the biggest issue of the story and you all keep ignoring that.

Exactly. He probably knows that he's lost half of his fanbase, so he's trying to create drama to keep people interested. And essentially, we're falling victim to it. Lol. But it's as the saying goes- "any publicity is good publicity".
