Colorado, San Jose... get the hell out of the playoffs. You both don't deserve to be here. Colorado for SUCKING so bad, and San Jose for being UNABLE TO FINISH.

Just get out.

That was disgusting. I wish I hadn't watched that game. That (OT) was definately the low-point of an otherwise incredible playoffs.
Pretty bored.

Take 50 shots, but make sure the one that counts goes in your own goal! The Sharks have hit an all time new low in their choking postseason.

Can't imagine how Dan Boyle can show his face next game after this.

Well we might as well had Craig Anderson playing offense too. I'm still laughing from how it ended. I'll take it.

I think the Avs were in a sour funk after that OT loss, to be honest, despite a strong 1st period. Hopefully this fluky win gives us a jump start to shoot (wait for it) OVER 20 times in a game. Also the injury bug has us bad...Hejduk out, Porter out, his replacement, Stoa, is out, Mueller (the guy who I think will get our team back on track) still is out, David Jones, another difference maker, out...

Craig Anderson was amazing tonight. I think that sets a record for most saves in a postseason shutout, but I'm not sure.

EDIT: In 94 Dominik Hasek had 70 saves in a multi OT shutout, so nevermind.

Semyon Varlamov played a lot better than Theodore. Caps are taking control of the series like they should have.

All three Eastern Conference series' could end the next game they play.

Sedins made some magic happen to tie the series up for the Canucks! smile.gif

Onto the next round and the caps for the flyers. lol not surprised, we have owned Joi-sey this season. Also dislike the state of new jersey in general.

Pretty epic Senators/Pens game (started watching around the 3rd period) going into TRIPLE overtime!

This playoff hockey has been amazing for the first round. Only wish I had Versus so I could watch it on my TV instead of laptop.

Flyers were the last team to qualify for the post season, but first team to advance to the next round. I wonder how they'll fare against the Capitals though, especially with the losses of Gagne and Carter.

Yep, we'll see. I don't use last nights game as an indicator, we pretty much won the series after game 4, the devils were just finished.

I'm in a good position to have picked all the teams to advance to the next round correctly. I got the game counts totally wrong though.

Howard looked shaky for Detroit in the first 3 games, but these past 2 games have really made me start believing in him. He's been absolutely solid. I honestly think that Phoenix has been out-playing Detroit (by a little), but they have a few small lapses of concentration that the Wings take advantage of which just leads to a collapse.

These playoffs have been great.
Pretty bored.

Howard has been lights out since settling down. If he keeps this up, look for the Wings to reach the West final (where they'll be eliminated by the Canucks, of course wink.gif)

Most exciting first round in recent memory? I think so.

I'm interested to see if the NHL suspends Hossa for his boarding on Hamhuis. Except for the other player not getting hurt severely there isn't any difference between this and Ovechkin's hit, and the league has already stated that how much a player is/isn't hurt won't affect the punishment.

Of course, this IS the NHL, so consistency isn't always expected out of them.

And then as if to prove that God really does hate Nashville, they can't convert the power play and promptly give up the GW goal to Hossa who just came out of the box.

"Thank you for the kick to the nuts, sir! May I have another?"

Here's to hoping the 'Nucks keep their foot on the pedal and take out the Kings tonight!

There goes my playoff pool... cause unless Washington can find a way to beat Halak in game 7, they're done. I just don't see it happening, especially with the pressure of the home crowd.

But who knows.

Speaking of Washington, Mike Green is so bad. I still find it stupid that he's one of the nominees for the Norris.
Pretty bored.

Wow, what the hell, Washington? Really? I know Halak was incredible (50 saves), but really?

Also, rematch time between the Canucks and Blackhawks. This is gonna be good.

Not that I hope he needs to do it again, but LUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!

Aha yeah, definitely excited to see the re-match between Chicago and Vancouver.

The problem with Washington right now is that they're unable to win tight, low scoring affairs, which is what almost all playoff games are. You need to be able to play any style of hockey in the playoffs and be successful, and the Caps can't do that. If they aren't pouring it on like in pond-hockey, they're losing.

That and Mike Green is making Paul Coffey look like a defensive stalwart.

lolMikeGreen

PP 1 for 32? That's just one team getting outcoached by the other team.

Detroit over San Jose in 6
Vancouver over Chicago in 7

Pittsburgh over Montreal in 5
Boston over Philadephia in 6

Posted this with time left in the 3rd. Hope Capitals can prove me wrong, but after the Canadiens scored the 1st goal it was pretty much over.

EDIT after Montreal makes it 2-0: LOLMIKEGREEN
