After leading Akira through the streets, over roofs, through a small copse of trees, across a bridge, over a fence, and through an open sewer, Menrui finally nodded at a certain wall. "Here we are," he said, pressing some of the bricks in a rather complicated pattern. "Watch the traps."

Akira thought he saw the stones shift, but the wall still looked solid... until Menrui walked through it. "Mom," Menrui called. "I'm home."

"Coming, dear," came the older female voice from above. She came out from the optical illusion of a wall, hunched over and hobbling along on a walking stick with a smile. "Oh, and you've brought a friend. Hello. Have you known my son long? He's really a very nice boy, but he's a bit of a disappointment since he decided to give up the family business in order to become a ninja. It's a shame, too, because that's all my husband left us -- a yatai -- and now I'm the only one able to run it. I really wish the boy had followed my advice, but it seems he's entered a bit of a rebellious streak, and--"

"Drop the act, mom," Menrui snapped with a sigh. "He's my teammate. I think he deserves the right to get a word in edgewise."

Sakana-san rolled her eyes, but nodded as she straightened her posture. The cane shifted slightly with a glint of metal, revealing itself to be a sword cane, before she eyed Akira up and down and spoke to him. "Well, I suppose. Your life is going to depend on his, and visa versa, for the next few years. Well, then... introduce yourself, young man, so that I can get to know you."

[Gaara]

Akira is a nice person, but if he was honest to himself, he didn't feel like having small talk with the old lady at the moment.

"My name is Hara Akira, nice to meet you Sakana-san."

Akira paused for a second.

"I could tell you my life story now Sakana-san, and I don't want to be rude... but actually, we came here to ask you about someone."

Sakana-san shrugged. "Who asked for your life story? I'll go through the ANBU records and find out everything about you, later, now that I know your name. Now, who is it you want to talk to me about?"

[Gaara]

"Did you ever heard the name Mariku Gin?" Akira asked.

Sakana-san blinked, then said, "Um, why do you want to know about that loser?"

[Gaara]

"So you know him, hm? Well, let's say, our next mission has something to do with him and that's why we want to know as much as possible about that guy."

[desaix]

Sakana-san's eyes narrowed dangerously. "A mission that deals with him? Is that so? Hm... Menrui-san, look after things here for a moment."

Menrui blinked. "Why, mom?"

"I'm going to go to the hokage and have my status as an active ninja reinstated," Sakana-san replied. "Any mission that deals with that nutcase needs someone of my level around."

"Is he really that dangerous?"

"Dangerous?" she replied, then laughed. "No, sweetie, he isn't dangerous at all. At least, not in that sense of the word... but he is a lunatic, and I doubt genin like you really are capable of handling a lunatic of his level."

[Gaara]

"But Sakana-san, that's the mission our team have got. I don't think that you will get the permission to help us here. Also, you just said yourself that he isn't really dangerous. We may only be Genins, but of what exactly should we be afraid? He is just a lunatic old man, isn't he?"

Sakana-san grinned. "I have a PERSONAL stake in anything involving Makiru Gin."

(OOC: I'm trying NOT to write Gin's character up for Shirafuji, since Gin isn't my character. But I figured that anyone who was trying to become or considered for hokage around that time would be involved with Sakana-san. So, Sakana-san has 'personal' reasons for wanting to deal with Gin, and will reveal them if and when Gin's own character is revealed. And it's dinnertime, here, so I won't be able to reply for a while)

[Gaara]

"... Heh. I have no idea what you mean, but you can of course try to convince Tsunade-sama to reinstate you as a ninja again, and if that really works, we'll probably see you tomorrow on the mission, Sakana-san."

Akira turned round, facing the door that leads outside.

"Menrui-san... I guess that's all your mother will tell us about Gin. And I also think I heard enough for now, and I want to have a good night's rest before tomorrow's mission starts. So I'm sorry that I can't stay any longer, maybe next time."

Akira turned his head around, showing a smiling face.

"Thanks anyway, Sakana-san. See you tomorrow Menrui-san."

He then walked outside.

[OOC: It's 1:26AM here, so I'm going to bed now. Our next mission can finally begin tomorrow, I guess.]

[Shouri no Hana]

Akari yawned as she headed home. Finally a real mission none of that stupid cat stuff.

She unlocked the door to her home and walked in, straight to her room. She threw her red jacket in a corner and went into the bathroom to get ready for bed. After a while she came out ready for bed and opened her closet door. Taken a count of the clean clothes she had, she then grabbed all of the other jackets she had and threw them in the same corner.

'I'll get them shortened to a length that they won't get in the way and maybe get them padded like the vests the chuunin and jounin wear. That will have to wait.' she thought as she checked that the windows and other enterances to hre home were locked then went to bed. 'Gloves...hrm I'll get those too...'

[Angel]

After a nice dip in the hot baths he made it to his house, he didnt really have anything to prepare for, since all he really had was the stff he was wearing and a sword and a set of kunias. He closed the closet and got into his futon ((which is in the closet too)) and set to sleep off the day

[Shouri no Hana]

Do I want to get out of bed?....not really...but my shoulder is killing me...must have slept on it weird....owowowowowow Akari grumbled as she sat up in her bed. Rotating her cramped shoulder a couple of times to loosen it up a little, she finally got out of bed.

"I've been sleeping way too much lately...I should be training more...but I just don't want to train at this point of the game.." she mumbled to herself.

Opening her closet she pulled out her black shorts and white tank top. After putting on her clothing she noticed that her tank was ending higher then it usually did. Akari blinked a couple of times, then it hit her.

'Damn...forgot I bought these the other day, oh well, I was starting to dislike the longer stuff anyway.' she collected her stuff and put her belt on. Noticing the pile of red fabric in the far corner she remember to get those taken in when she got back. She took off aimlessly into the streets of Konoha, not knowing what to do as she waited.

Souzen finally established a small room on a huge, run-down building that also houses the village's "#1 Ninja at Surprising People" and is now taking pictures of the walls that can easily be seen from his window. (Well, it is a pretty big building no?)

Angel Put on his cloths and stepped out into the city, He stretched as the sun hit him. He set forth to just wonder until the mission started

Nikko wanders into town to find dinner and pick up any mail she's missed waiting for her students. She looks over and the slug she's keeping as a pet, "Dinner? Something other then gummy worms and rice balls?" She dug through her pack for her wallet to see what she could afford for dinner or if it was make to experation date sales for her dinners.

Kazuma walks out of the ramen bar "man...i hope mission start soon becuase my wallet is running pretty thin..."he says looking sadly at it " oh well " he says befor walking randomly " i wonder what eles there is to do....."
