Oh we can clearly see writing well isn't easy in Kishimotos case.

Sure it is. He did great. Isn't that chunin exams scene great? She chooses Naruto even though she's supposed to have a crush on Sasuke. That is pretty cute writing.

He just didn't stick to it because he needed to give Naruto to Hinata. He abandoned the base of good writing that he had created. At least for the romantic subplot this is true. He screwed up other things about the narrative which would have been screwed up with or without Hinata. But his blowing up of the romantic subplot certainly didn't help at all.

Pretty sure if given the chance most of us could in fact do better.

Twilight was trash and it sold millions too.

Money doesn't mean everything.

50 shades fo grey is based of fanfic for Twilight, and sold millions too. Talk about writing, haha.

Or how about YOU go ahead and stop throwing a fit every time someone says Kishi is a bad writer.

Can we stay on topic? This attempt to derail by trying to justify Kishimoto's ending as good based on the money he made is really pathetic, because he made a lot of it before the ending happened. So don't indulge it.

Anyways, the whole exam scene goes back to comparing Kushina and s akura "supporting" the future homage, just another parallel Kishi slipped in and then decided to trash

Now that you mentioned it, Kushina did the same, as she told it to Naruto. So much for writing it to nowhere.

Good scene tho.

"Parallels mean nothing" in a story that is basically built on parallels.

Well, Kishimoto himself said that it's literally means nothing. Author himself basicly admited that great part of his story was for lulz, so basicly readers just gave bad writter much more credit than he deserved. Nothing wrong with that, people tends to be wrong, and some use that for their own purposes, what he basicly did.

It's not even just that parallel. It's that he paralleled Rin and Obito to Naruto and Sakura and Jiraiya and Tsunade to them too.

Hashirama loved Mito, Jiraiya loved Tsunade, Minato loved Kushina, Obito loved Rin, and Naruto loved Hinata. Yeah. "It was all about Naruto and Hinata getting married from an early stage." That's why I made every other relationship in the story completely different.

I mean honestly spending all that time bludgeoning about " the past always repeats but the next gen does it better." Only for the next gen, Naruto and Sakura to in fact do it arguably worse was a waste of time.

The point is the love, which the ending retconned.

Exactly what I'm talking about. I mean, dude, you wrote whole manga, based on team of 3, 2 guys 1 girl. Made parallels, and called them bs. I'd give it credibility if we had at least one team that was 2 girls 1 boy, or 3 boys/3 girls, but hot damn, Kishimoto loved shooting in his own legs,  :lmao:

Yeah. One of these groups could have constituted a "red herring." 6 of them is a bit much. He clearly just blew up his whole damn story.

Its just an awful "coincidence" in a world which has no coincidences because all is by design.

Were these scenes where Sakura cares so much about Naruto a coincidence as well? Like that wasn't what she was doing, but she had some other motivation? What scene should I look at next btw?

Well, heaven and earth scene with Iruka I guess?

Everything is just "coincidence" according to some people. Or we just can't read :zaru:
