From an extra chapter:

Turns out that Takeo has once met Yamato already when they were little kids! He saved her (from whatever), but Yamato had short hair and thought she was a boy, so Takeo didn't recognize here when they met again years later on the train. I'm not sure if Yamato has recognized him again though (she prob did).

It is destiny that led them together T_T So beautiful.
