Well this week I actually decided to watch the new series. It was surprisingly good.
As for Ash winning the league the way I see it. Ash still has a Goodra, Greninja, and a tired Pikachu. Alain has a Charzard and a Bisharp.
The story-line has been setting up a big battle between the Charzard and the Greninja. So if Ash once Pikachu goes down and he sends out Goodra he will lose. If he sends out Greninja instead he might win.
Or. Maybe Lysandre will pull a Orochimaru and do his grand evil plan halfway through the battle leading it to be inconclusive. Now that would be kittenish of them
Also can I just say Alain's team has not been having that impressive of a performance. He has a decent team but they all go down really easy and it seem only his Charzard has any real bite to him. Compared to that kid (..sawyer? He has konohamaru Japanese voice actor that's the first thing I noticed.) in the semifinals who understood Ash and was able to develop strategies to counter Ash's battle style. Alain just seem to power through everything with his Mega Charzard X to the neglected of the rest of his team.
As for Serena. I like her though she could speak up a bit more. As for her going to the next region. It really depends on how popular she is in Japan. Brock was able to last until the end of Diamond and Pearl because of his and was even able to return to the team despite leaving 3 times. Simple because he was that popular of a character. Clemont and Bonnie can't leave the Kalos region because Clemont is a gym leader who replacement is a robot instead of brothers or a father, and bonnie is too young. Ash's traveling companions are normally a person who cooks (Brock, Tracy, Cilain and Clemont) and a girl for eye candy which the creators even admit *shudder*(Misty May Dawn Iris and Serena) and maybe a tag along (max/bonnie). Serena's job seem to be the one who holds the map. So if Clemont leaves and Serena stays the next person better be the cook since that always been the case. Since Ash can't cook to save a life, and the gives that person a role.

I'll say this even if Ash looses, no one can deny that he made it to the finals that alone is an accomplishment. I mean after Indigo which was Top 16, he was always in the Top 8 regarding Johto, Hounen. Of course that did change when Diamond and Pearl came out because by that point he made it to the Top 4 which never happened before, and Black and White did make me loose faith because he was in the Top 8. However, X&Y has been amazing something I haven't necessarily felt since Diamond and Pearl the last time I truly enjoyed watching Pokemon. I mean for long time watchers of the series Ash making it to the Finals is like I said before a big deal, and if he does loose I hope he goes out with a bang. Would it be disappointing if he did loose yes, but that doesn't deny how far he's come from the early indigo league days.
If anything given his status with the Kalos League, I'm gonna be expecting alot more from Ash in Sun and Moon. Fingers crossed on Serena joining him, I think she's an amazing character, and given the fact that they have known each other for a long time.

The fact that the most important people were not there for Ash since the beginning of the League he already lost.
In my case I don't want Serena go with Ash why? I don't wan another Advanceshipping trolling.

Huh. I was right. To avoid spoilers Goodra came out before Greninja.
Edit: Apparently the writers for this episode were writers brought back from Best Wishes, and apparently only this episode. Oh. And apparently the Japanese fanbase really did not like the outcome. Nor did anyone else for that matter.

Even though Unova was worst Ash in top 8 again and losing with a stupid kid who forgot his 6th Pokemon.

I assume you talking about the outrage. Well it because this time it actually looked like Ash was going to win this one. Everyone and Everything to the point that even the story it was talking like he was going to win. With Cameron it wasn't the final battle and when he lost it was more a "...you're kidding me he lost to that idiot." Instead of a "how dare you have him lose again!"
That explains everything OMG!!

That's what people are saying. IF it is true or not I don't know.
Here is an important thing to remember is that Best Wishes was incredibly popular in Japan (at least until the islands of filler) but disliked in the West (who hated the islands of filler). While X Y where liked in the West but had some of the lowest rating Pokemon had in Japan.
So they probably brought the writer back in hopes they could work their charm and bring back the Japanese. The thing is remember best wishes is that i always got a sense that the person who wrote it was a big fan of the original series and wanted to bring the Pokemon anime back to it roots. By making team rocket a threat again (which was one of the few things Japan didn't like), and making Ash 10 and inexperience just starting his journey with his best friend pikachu. Since it always felt the most disconnect with the other series. it always felt more of a reboot then the other series.
So they probably thought that Ash shouldn't win the tournament. Since he didn't win in Kanto. He did not win in Unova. So he should not win in Kalos.

Interesting to know that, there they go do not need do a plot like romance, the main audience like it simple.
I wonder how Japan takes the Ash loss?

From what I understand they may just be getting sick of the anime (it has gone on for almost twenty years by this point) and Yokai Watch increasing popularity.

Bail now what do you think of today?
Yesterday was nice. Had a nice sleep, enjoyed the Bleach ending, read some news, looked at the presidential election polls, had a good lunch and dinner. Oh wait. You talking about Pokemon right.
Well like I said if he brought out Gloomy before Greninja was knew he was going to lose. So long before it even got to the last fight I knew what was going to happen before it did. Not to say i was happy but i saw the writing on the wall. as for the league it was not as good as it should have been. Ash only had two fights one was really good the other was mediocre to boring.
Normally the league tournament is an arc in of itself where we see most-to-all of Ash's fights in the tournament. The reason this is important is that all these people in theory went on similar journeys as Ash did. So by defeating them it was showing how far Ash had come in comparison to the other trainers. Also despite people saying Ash has no development he does grow in each arc and is shown in the league. Granted some people will probably explain/analyzing it better then I'm going to do:
Kanto: Ash was incredibly lazy as a trainer normally playing it by ear and hoping luck would pull him through. Which it some times did. He got half his badges outside of actually winning a Gym Battle, and he was able to win the first round with Krabby one-shotting everything. But this came to bite him with Team Rocket interference and the fact he wasn't able to get Charzard to respect and obey him cost him the tournament.
Johto: Ash now bonds well with all his pokemon and has all their love and respect. For the most part. He was finally able to surpass his old rival Gary, but lost to another trainer that saw a bit more of the world then him. Also he still wasn't training seriously I still recall he really didn't think about evolving his pokemon to make them stronger for the the league was a good idea to go through with instead of just waiting for them to evolve at when the plot allows. Till a magby trainer told him literally right before the tournament started.
Honnen: Ash saw more of the world was able to get far into the tournament but lost to a Trainer that had a more experience and fully evolved team. He was able to beat the Battle frontier afterwards mind you. Which gave him a bit more experience against different types of battle styles.
Sinnoh: Was until Kalos Ash at his most experience and most strategical thinking in battle. It really focused on setting up a battle of idea and practice of how to raise pokemon with Paul's strict training and stats vs bonding and friendship of Ash. So by Ash beating Paul he proved that his style of raising pokemon was better then Paul cold strict and ruthless data style. Then he lost to a trainer that had at team full of legendaries but that just said that the only way they could have prevented Ash from winning this and any other tournament was if they did that again. He did have a problem adjusting to Torterra being a big Might Glacier instead of a small Lightning Bruiser like the rest of his team. Which was never fixed and made him a dead weight on the team.
Unova: It was basically a reset button like with the game. It did try to justify Ash's lost with the fact that Cameron is some kind of battle savant that trained his pokemon really well. While Ash's Unova team was the weakest team he ever had.
Kalos: Ash has seen more part of the world then anyone he faced in that tournament, has more battle experience then most of the other trainers, has focused on training his pokemon really well, has the smallest and most focused on team in any of the seasons, all of them are fully evolved, he got a special pokemon with it's own unique transformation, and his two opponent where personal roadblock who purpose there was for him to overcome. Saywer looked up to Ash as a role model and mentor figure, while Alain only enter the tournament to fight Ash hoping that the tournament would add a little spice to their third battle. Sinnoh set up the possibility of Ash maybe winning. With explains what happens after someone wins the league tournament. They go on to fight the elite four then the champion (which would have been fine if Ash won the tournament then lost to of one the elite four at least he finally was making progress again). Kalos basically laid out that it was finally going to happen or at the very least this was the best shot he has ever had.... Then new writer team for that very episode.
Honestly, the fight was very boring. Alain team was impressive looking but poor preforming. He basically relied on Mega Charzard X to power through everything like every other battle I have seen him in. Also with Bisharp acting as a deus ex machina to get rid of two of the pokemon and weaken Greninja before the Greninja v. Charzard fight. His Tyranitar was laughable, Metagross wasn't much better, Weavile was able to defeat Noivern in two attack to get rid of him, and his Unfezant existed to do a double knock out with Talonflame. He didn't have any impressive strategies compared to even the battle before his. Much less rivals in the other seasons.
So Ash failing to overcome Alain was unsatisfying.

Good thought.
Here is the thing I am not a fan of Pokemon the only reason I watched Kalos or XY and Z is because the shipping stuff(In fact I have not seen the episode 38) . Amourshipping got into this , the flashback is a thing that I have not seen in Pokemon. What i am looking for? Of course Ash and Serena being canon and I know is totally against all the fandom predictions that this is not going to happen. Still I am looking for something we cannot get the canon, at least the character has to get something important about his female companion not in a romantic way, but at least more deeps feelings.
Then I began to check the others ships while I am with the amour in the I liked them:
Misty and Ash I know people said still and it was the best ship.
Ash and May it was good, everything was getting good until they stabbed the fandom with a knife call Drew.
Ash and Iris, no hints, no nothing just plain friendship in fact in my view just company. In my opinion instead teasing and trolling the people this they should have done it since the beginning.
Ash and Serena I like them the moments and everything and that is why I am here. Unfortunately looks like is given the same treat. Since the episode 28 of XYZ and they possible ended in a ugly way.
Ash and Dawn knowing that there was not any romantic hints I am still wanted to see and surprise I like the great friendship between them, Dawn was the female Ash in a way in a point view of a shipper you can tell if Pokemon should have wanted this relationship could have grown more in the other regions until the in end. For checking this ship I checked all Sinnoh season was very good thinking that I am not fan of Pokemon, Bail The battle between Paul and Ash still is the best instead of Alain vs Ash.
In the end looks like my turn to be salty at least one day is coming soon.

They are never going to finalize an Ash pairing in Pokemon partially because they are suppose to be ten. Use what see in the anime to make your own story.

I don't see the problem with having Ash win a league. It wouldn't necessarily make him a "Pokemon Master." Here's what I would do if I were writing these series.
Ash would win the Pokemon League in a region and even beat the champion. Then, still not satisfied and still thinking he had plenty of room to improve, he'd immediately relinquish his champion title and go onto the next region. In the next region, Ash would still be the lead character, but we'd get introduced to a new character who can fulfill the role of being the nooby/inexperienced trainer. The inexperienced trainer would be the placeholder kind of character they've been trying to make Ash at the beginning of each season. The inexperienced trainer would struggle to win his/her gym badges whereas Ash would win mostly all of them rather easily. What's more, Ash, while still trying to become a Pokemon master, would take on a mentor role somewhat.
Following this formula opens up tons of possibilities: 1) It allows Ash to actually win leagues without compromising the writers' goal of having a character viewers can relate to. 2) It allows Ash long-lasting character development; the type of which we've never seen in this series. 3)The inexperienced trainer can slowly become a love interest or a rival and we can get a master vs student dynamic during league episodes. 4) Ash can finally start using the Pokemon he has on reserve as the new inexperienced trainer will be the one forced to make teams that purely consist of Pokemon actually in the region.
Behold! Akame ga Kill's True Canon Pairing!
