Just found this on tumblr ...

 

The person on tumblr said that theese sketches look like the real sketches from 699/700 (so the chapter is real after all) ... while someone else says that theyre looking hella different ...

As if it's a concern to him by this point. The fact that all of these people are turning to him with questions and demands after having their hopes destroyed already might actually give him enjoyment since the negativity would be more prolonged.

Well it's not like the assistant has a choice does he? He can't just call his boss's ending 'bad' or whatever. The only thing he can say is 'please enjoy' or 'it's a good chapter!' or something like that.

Remember that he got miles of angry messages and his reply is "If you like Naruto, you will like it until the end". So... Idk, is the same guy that said "Why are people complaining about Hinata being the heroine" or something like that.

Guys, I noticed something. Don't they usually tell us when there is a time-skip? Both in manga and movies? Why is it that in chapter 700, there's nothing like "10 years later"? And all there is in the first panel is, "Everything started here".

 

Am I reading too much into it? The IT plot is in my mind..

If you don't mind me asking, what did you mean by this part in your sentence? Were you trying to say that the development meant nothing? Or am I misunderstanding the context here?

Past experiences would dictate that you are, but I yearn so badly for there to be an underlying truth in the abnormal structure and layout of these chapters.

But there was so much NS development.  Is he saying that NS wasn't romantic?
