So did Hagoromo left as well or he just send the dead back home? Otherwise, I guess we will have final sayings from him, most likely regarding the future of the next generation since well they are now left to work things out, whether it's now or later.

Well, well, well.  My reactions, for what it's worth.

 

1. The whole Kaguya thing was really wrapped up as quickly and absurdly as it appeared.  I can't believe it.  After literally YEARS of plodding along like a paint-drying festival, we're being rushed through the payoff that might have been so rich and intricate.  NOT COOL.

 

2. Sakura's first panel comment -- about nothing surprising her anymore and she's getting tired of it? -- well, see #1.  (Sakura was beautiful, BTW.)

 

3. Naruto's expression of friendship to Kurama was great, as was Kurama's reaction.  Since Hagoromo reiterated that biju extraction always kills, it seems clear Kurama will have to sacrifice his/her reunification until the end of Naruto's natural life.

 

4. Sakura's smile at Hagoromo's praise of Naruto -- saying he had been waiting for a ninja like him to unify the biju -- was another beauty.

 

5. By contrast, Sasuke's reaction to the same comment was all jelly, and one of several indications that Sasuke is still not on board the harmony train.

 

6. I don't get why Kakashi lost Obito's eyes.  It's not as if there wasn't clear precident that others had maintained the use of Sharingan after the owner was dead.  

 

7. Sasuke bolting to kill Madara.  Another indication he hasn't yet learned his lesson.

 

8. I could really relate to Naruto when he was speaking to Minato. It reminded me of my own father's death.  There's so much you want to say at the last, but there's no time to say it.  You don't want to cry and yet you can't help it.  It's so difficult to let go.

 

9. Third interesting panel of Sasuke, reacting to the realization that Naruto still thinks of him as a "good guy."

 

10. Last but not least, there's no doubt that "the girl" Naruto was talking about is Sakura.  It cannot be otherwise.  If it were Hinata, there would be no reason for him to have said it wasn't going according to plan, but he's doing his best.  

 

It was worded perfectly to indicate that he still believes he has obstacles to overcome in winning Sakura's heart.  It's either because he hasn't yet kept his promise so that he feels she's free to choose between him and Sasuke, or he believes she still loves Sasuke, or he hasn't confessed, or all of the above.  But it was definitely Sakura to which he was referring.

 

Of course, I'm certain there will be members of other fandoms bleating nonsense to the contrary, but so what else is new?  I keep thinking they'll wake up enough to at least pull the ripcord on their parachute, but perhaps only full-velocity impact with the truth will do it.  By then it will be too late.

Also, I have the feeling that When Naruto said everything wasn't going exactly like his mother said, or when he said he was doing his best, he was saying it generally, and not about that girl in particular.

He just avoided to say the girl's name. That's all.

Why do SS fans think that Sakura is smiling to Sasuke? Sasuke didn't even said a "SINGLE" word. Why would she even smile to a guy that keeps berating him. 

BTW. Sakura looks beautiful in the last page of mangastream. And even in this chapter.

Wow!! I live in the pacific coast so I wasn't able to stay up for the chapter, but I'll just say that something weird happened to me last night that does not ever happen: I had a dream about the Naruto manga. I had a dream that I was reading the latest chapter of Naruto and for some reason, there was a interaction between Kushina and Sakura. Kushina was teasing Sakura about Naruto, and she was getting all flustered. I don't remember much but everything felt so real and just when I was about to get to the part of NaruSaku being canon, I wake up. I check the sites to see if the chapter got released and it did. I held my breath as I got to the part where Naruto talks about women and Ugh, so close yet so far. It seemed my dream and reality wanted to mess around with me

 

Now that I got that little anecdote out of the way, let me just say that Naruto not giving an answer right away is probably a good thing. Hopefully this means Kishi does not plan to make NaruSaku an afterthought and actually provide some actual scenes between Naruto and Sakura. Kishi has deliberately stopped many moments that could've made NS canon and this was just another one. The payoff is coming, I know it, but there is still the issue of Sasuke and what he plans to do moving forward. I still think we're getting a Part 3, especially if Kakashi ends up being the 6th Hokage.

its not confidence at this point, its way beyond that which will make their defeat really disastrous, when the truth will explode in their faces. but much more sweeter for us though.

I have a random question: Where does Kakashi rank on the power scale without his Sharingan? It seems like he's been suffering from a dependency on Obito's power for so long that his entire repertoire of techniques and, quite honestly, his very identity, is now being put into question since he doesn't have it anymore. Can he still function as the "copy ninja" or will he be known by some other moniker now?

NS is still obviously the endgame. But it does seem weird that his actions and the way he spoke were very different from chapter 631.
