A good point made by someone is... how can K9 [I have a thing for this] use Senjutsu? I know it's was molded by Naruto and all, but shouldn't they turn into frogs by now?

you turn into frog only if there's a geat unbalance of natural chakra and your own chakra. I guess that Naruto stabilize their chakra with kyuubi's chakra and mixed it with natural chakra.

Bolded:Sakura will do to for Naruto  when she actually shows she loves him. Also if you think about it she already partly filled that part because whenever Naruto think backs about the first people to acknowledge him Sakura was there in those flashbacks. The only thing left for Sakura to do is love Naruto and give her undying support.

 

Trust me, I ain't denying it will happen, but honestly she's been irrelevant for too long that any sort of anticipation goes flying out the window with that.

 

This chapter made me think of something:

 

The last time Kakashi's and Obito's Sharingan were shown to allow them to see what the other sees was during Obito's flashback on his way to Kakashi and Rin, right before Rin is killed by Kakashi. In line with Kishi linking current events with past ones, suppose if Kakashi (through their shared vision) witnesses Obito make a last ditch attempt to kill Sakura (mirroring Kakashi killing Rin), and returns from the Kamui dimension just in time to stop to stop him, allowing Naruto/Sasuke/Sakura(?) to finish him and end the fight?

 

In short, all of Team 7, trained in the teachings influenced by Obito's spirit, is what finally brings him down.

 

Funny, I had a dream last night that happened exactly that way.

 

 

That's an interesting observation you made. You're right, he doesn't seem to be happy or content with this visionary world despite having the company of friends and associates to help him in his time of need. His expression seems to imply that he's just solemnly resigned himself to the fate he chose for himself. I didn't see any signs that he was all too happy about his life. It was almost like a procedural timeline of events without any emotional context that could make Tobi truly accepting of that particular life. 

 

I think this idiom is fitting for Tobi: "You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink." 

 

In relation to Tobi, you could interpret the meaning as a reference to his discontent in the life that he would have had. Achieving almost every dream he imagined and having all the support of his friends in the world yet it doesn't bring him true happiness. It's because Naruto's absolutist belief system and way of life is not for everyone. Some people become so ingrained or dedicated to a particular aspect in their life that they can't handle losing it. To them it means more than anything else that ever lived. And even you if you try to imitate the features of someone who is happy, deep down inside you'll still feel empty. I think Tobi happens to be one of those sorts of people. Rin is so vital, so critical to his existence that not even Kakashi and everyone else who he knew could accommodate for the loss. 

 

I also think the fact that he retains the scars from the insertion of Zetsu's flesh into his body is also intended to serve as a representation of the artificiality of his life. Here this traumatised soldier who was supposed to die in the last great war is being kept together thanks to the efforts of a century old hermit renegade who he himself was presumed dead long ago. He's like an abomination whose only purpose in life now is to fulfill the hollowed out aspirations he once desired so intensively. He makes others around him happy but it's at his own expense. 

 

Those are just my thoughts... It wouldn't come as a surprise to watch Tobi become so conflicted and wrought with despair that he tries to kill himself out of sheer desperation. Should that happen, I would wonder how Naruto (and Kakashi) would react to that decision. Would they try to stop him for some reason or would they allow him to be put out of his misery?  

 

It's like what they say, if you want others to be happy, then you have to be happy first. I still could honestly see Kakashi using the Shiki Fuujin to commit a double suicide. I honestly can't think of a more fitting ending for them both.

Everyone's is being irrelevant here, not just Sakura, aside from saving the bijuu's and Naruto's being the main character he's irrelevant too.

This arc is bad because there's no objective here other than save the world.

Naruto actually had little progress on this arc in terms of character, Sakura asked for him to let her handle the alliance mirroring to what Itachi says about trusting on his friends powers, but he doesnt do it, he's like protecting all of them and not allowing them to make use of their own powers.

Naruto only says "I wont give up" but doesnt have any objective to redeem Obito aside from that i remember Xenogears where the main character was reflecting what is worth fighting for, one of things that fighting to protect your friends is not a reason to fight.

Because if he fails he lose his reason to, which happened on Neji's death and he literally learned nothing from there.(it only enforced to what he said 10 chapters earlier)

 

This arc for me is crap, it lacks purpose and significant development and this include Naruto too, Naruto is only relevant because of the parallel he has with Obito but aside from that zero.

I have a vibe that Hinata accepted being friend zoned. I can't explain it.

 

I definitely believe that there are plans in store for Sakura. I just seriously wish that Naruto and Sakura could interact. 

 

The chapter was cool. Definitely set the boundaries between Naruto's FRIENDS and those who are more than that. 

 

At least that's how I interpreted it (as did others).

In truth Hinata has been friendzoned ever since her confession given there hasn't been a single thought in Naruto's mind regarding her romantically.

Regarding Hinata i felt some trolling on her words.
WHen she made her vow on "path to radiance" it had clearly romantic undertones but suddenly turned out some sort of comradeship her words turned out to be exactly similar to Shikamaru's father and even then it was bought up on the previous chapter.

Later she reassures her will to be at Naruto's side but once again it was some sort off comradeship.

She's totally ambiguous.

Well my first thought was that Sakura is not a part of the "power of friendship" combo was because she is already doing something. I'm looking forward to what will happen in the future. But it was just so strange...everyone in the Kyuubi cloak...really strange. I find it hard to believe that people actually think that Sakura's being left out or tossed into the corner for this chapter. 

 

My favorite part of the chapter would have to be Obito's imagination at the end. Despite this being the different path that he could have taken after Rin's death, he doesn't seem happy. It just felt really solemn when I saw him in the Hokage robes. Besides that, the chapter was okay. Isn't this the fourth chapter of the volume? The next one should be the middle of this volume I believe...Once again I'm going to try and summon an appearance of Yamato with the sheer force of my will. I will not rest until I see the full team 7 together in a boyband pose.

Well this chapter is certainly about frirndship, but I will admit it's rather coincidence that with exclusion of Sakura, Obito able to imagine a world without Rin and carry the meaning of friends filling in the void. Either a coincidence or Kishi really planned this.

Totally. But after the last events, unless something real crazy happens, her development cycle is pretty much over with. She stood at Naruto's side, held his hand just like she mentioned and even got a reason to start being more responsible and productive for her clan, though I doubt it might happen given her lack of a decent purpose in life. However if you look closely, every secondary character is finishing their development cycle during these war events. Plus, just like every other story, after the less characters roles are done with, what normally happens first, we'll have the resolution of the main characters drama probably taking place during the final battle between the two protagonists.

Actually i'll take that everyone is done and will be throw aside on the next arc, they were doing fine until 635~ until Naruto started with "sharing emotions" and stuff, but for me it's just a excuse to not make use of itachi's words, i dont see how sharing Naruto's memories with everyone would help the alliance neither his friends, hashirama who helped the alliance and the kages, Shikamaru could've just recovered on remembering his promise he did to Kurenai and his sensei but he seemed so OOC by just giving up so easily, that i felt it wasnt the same Shikamaru, looked like Naruto on 614/615.

 

I dont know but Kishi was doing a good job with k11 until he started with this.

I cant stand them anymore despite liking their characters individually.

 

And honestly i'm being really upset with the series lately i dont know this but it's been a lot of time since every chapter that came out is followed with heavy criticism and it's due to Kishimoto doing bs.

I just hope this arc ends soon for me to enjoy reading Naruto again.

 

Also the arc is supposed to be resolved around the peace idea but what i've seen it's more about not giving up, i dont see Obito discussing wiht Naruto the peace idea, i'm hoping that Madara shows up and this topic came because it's going to be the matter that will make Naruto and Sasuke fight against each other.

I just dont understand why Obito wants to deny what Naruto has to say when he pratically doesnt even know how to counter it i mean Naruto's desire to not give up wont bring peace, Obito's flashback showing him kage and etc... doesnt relate to his purpose of bringing peace, actually i dont even know what Obito really wants.
