Seriously, like one of them is about sending a text to donate $10 and half the comments are about how Japan didn't help us during Katrina/911 or how Japan is a filthy rich country. Half of those negative comments look pretty racial too.

When America loses it's will to give, share, and help others, that's when i believe our country will truely fall apart. It makes me sad to see how selfish some people can be and forget about their own blessings.

It's facebook, they're narcssists who don't have lives and if they do, they would freak if people from real life found out. That said not everyone is out there making horrible comments depending on the charity or the person. Some is not all.

Shows how ignorant they are too, many Japanese people did send donations to the Red Cross, etc...after both happened. Someone should post that there.

Don't forget about the youtube video about the UCLA student bashing Asians, thinking it was weird for their families to come over on the weekend and accused them of making too much noise in the library (if my experience proves anything, it's white guys watching Flavor of Love that make the most noise in a library), and proceeded to make a really offensive imitation of some asian language.
So, there are dumb people all over who have racial undertones for no reason, but in the end it's best to ignore them when we should focus on helping Japan or giving what little aid we can.

Okay, first, the US NRC said there was no water. What about the water from the Helo and the Fire Trucks.
Second, Wait...What explosion? I didn't hear anything about an explosion in Reactor 4. Only fires.
And why is the US evacuation zone further then the Japanese Evacuation zone?
The US Government and the Japanese Government are saying really different things right now. That's big. Who do you trust right now?
The US is showing increasing Alarm in Japan:

Oh man, you saying this made me look for it. And I'm watching it.

The comments are seriously atrocious.
Rule to live by: Never, ever read comments on serious topics.
Guaranteed you will see the absolute bottom of the barrel turn up there to say whatever disgusting prejudice or moronic opinion they have. Those sort of things seem to attract the dregs and negativity, no matter what the topic, much less a disaster in a foreign country. They're also irrelevant; they have nothing better to do than rubberneck a disaster like this and laugh at others misfortunes, which just shows to all those reading how low a life form they are.
The term my grandfather would have used is "Waste of Humanity".
Think more about the positive. If nothing else, it seems like far more people sympathize with Japan and feel bad for them. I've seen so many well wishes going out that it's not even funny. Even some of our American comic creators are starting to band together a bit to get money raised for charities for Japan (this is actually something the American comic scene does a lot, as it's not uncommon to see them raise money for good causes).
People care. You just have to keep in mind that, no matter what, someone out there is going to be happy about it and say disgusting things. People are as capable of cruelty and heartlessness as we are of love and empathy. If you lose sight of that - and the fact that the people rejoicing or being racist isn't a majority - comment sections and the like can be very depressing.
Sounds like a breakdown of communication to me; it's just a matter of who's the one with the wrong information.
You'd think they'd never seen a natural disaster before; but then, the religious fanatics tend to equate even the smallest thing with "God", so... not shocked.

No. She'll just give some stupid excuse and come up with some other whacked out belief/prediction. Trust me, her kind does it all the time. I guess you could look for the video about the UCLA student bashing Asians; if nothing else, it's funny just to watch how much of an idiot she is just by talking.

Faulty? Dunno. If they exaggerated the motivation would be CYA. If they say there is nothing to worry about and radiation does make it over or someone does get sick, they'll turn to the administration that told them not to worry and ask "What the hell?"

Yeah I saw that on CNN last night, made my eyes tear up, I was so relieved to hear they'd been rescued and were receiving treatment. It sounds like they split them up though to receive treatment, I hope they are reunited soon.
