I wouldn't worry about Hinata in this movie. It looks like Sakura is going to play a far more significant role. And the only time she appears the rest of Konoha 11 is there alsooo. So she probably won't get much screen time.

hehe i really liked those openings, it's just getting me more and more hyped for the awsome movie. I feel like this movei will be longer than the others because it just looks like a super long movie (which i have no problem with). Hope this is like Movie 3 were i actually sat back, put the video on full screen, grabbed a snack and enjoyed the whole thing. Mostly because it didn't have the horrible filler princess plot

Thanks for trying ; it gives us a vague idea of what's being talked about. Though it sounded like there was more discussion of the special where Naruto is fighting Konohamaru than the actual movie. Though it sounds like the kiss and Sakura's reaction is being brought up again. Perhaps there isn't a scene where Sakura hugs Naruto like we saw in those fan arts after all ; none of these tid bits / reactions have seemed to mention anything of the sort (unless you count the bit about Sakura "embracing" something or someone )

That's the same thing as what was posted on NF. Oh and I can tell it's not "all the Sakura scenes" because it's almost completely about the Konohamaru vs Naruto short. There's hardly anything about the main movie, no mention of the scene we've seen in the clips in Tsunade's office, no mention of the scene that there's a moment of where she's fighting, and the scene where Naruto gets kissed by the filler girl just gets a passing mention.

On the other hand novelizations are based on early scripts (and of course Kishimoto's storyboarding) of movies, things get cut out when the final version of the movie is decided. But the twitter poster who had seen the movie said Sakura a strong role in it, and that would fit with those sketches from the novelization. From the opening and ending song credits it looks like Sai plays a definite support role in this movie too- like in Lost Tower there's a clip with Sakura with Sai on his ink bird. I haven't seen any reference to that scene in the fan summaries either. From what it looks like in the clips the rest of Naruto and Sakura's age peers just play minor support roles. Looks like Tsunade and Shizune will get some scenes fighting the bad guys from the clips too. Looks weird to see current time Tsunade in a regular Jonin outfit....

She was shown for like a second in the 1st Shippuden movie, and she had slightly more important roles in the 2nd and 3rd Shippuden movies, but I don't recall her being shown in any of the others.
Not that I mind though. I actually like Hinata, it's just her fanbase that gets on my nerves. The only thing that would annoy me in this movie is having a slight Naruto/Hinata interation, like "Oh hey, Hinata! You came too?" getting blown out of proportion by some of the poor girl's more rabid fans. *groan*

Just asking out of curiousity, but were those official sketches from the novelization, or just fanart? The art looked very similar to Kishi's, but I guess I wasn't sure. If that's the case, maybe the novelization has more N/S than the movie does.

It was just fan art from someone who had read the novel, from what I could best gather. Still, hard to see why they would draw those scenes unless they actually took place in the novel. Unless the fanarts were just inspired by the novel? Though that's not what it really sounded like from the notes the artist made...

Thanks for posting this Codus!! I've been looking for a summary for a while now. Even though this is obviously a very basic one, leaving out a lot of details as mentioned at the very end, I'm still glad to have a better idea of what's going on.

It sucks that we don't really hear anything about Sakura's role in this summary. I wonder if she's just going to show up at the very end with the rest of the rookie nine. I hope we get to see some of her reactions before that. I mean, isn't she there in Tsunade's office when Naruto is getting arrested? :plots

Either way, it still seems like a pretty interesting movie, and I still can't wait to see it! >_<

Okay the plot sounds awesome but there's one problem where the heck is Sakura??? she wasn't mentioned in the plot she has been shown in the trailer. Also in the novelization she has a big role what's going on??? I'm beginning to think that the person who translated the plot is probably a Sakura hater and doesn't want to include the parts where she's included.
