I feel like it's more done for Hinata and Lee. Karin seems to be left out with others for maybe it's a different story. I wouldn't say place her on a pedestal, but I think Kishi want to please those two in a world that won't be in reality. The dream sequences did seem very impossible, so it was a perfect chance.
Yeah given the fact that NS is made out to be an endgame pairing and Kishi confirmed Naruto will have a son by the end, chances are Sasuke will as well (Kishi loves the yin yang parallel) and from the looks of it Karin is the most likely candidate, given that Sasuke actually treats her differently than everyone else and ofcourse the whole NS/SK parallel that's been going on since Karin joined Hebi. Its pretty safe to assume that SHinachiku will likely have a rival growing up as well, although Kishi is probably going to make it more like Shikamaru/Chouji or Goten/Trunks because otherwise that would just make it seem like yet another Ashura/Indra generation getting started. I wouldn't be surprised if the epilogue between the two was the same as Harry and Draco (that seems to be the direction its going anyway)

If Kishi do go all the way with Shikamaru, the dream set up that his close people are alive but gave up on love altogether. He can change it by understanding and go with Temari. See how it works. I strongly doubt that all dreams will happen no matter what. Most likely the reason why we didn't even see Sai's dream. If anything, others probably falls down in a plot reason, more so than fan reason.

Looks like Kishi's building up to a new generation by the end of the series with all the pairing kitten he was throwin around in the dream chapter

I have been saying Sakura has surpassed Tsunade in terms of saving Naruto(as Tsunade couldn't save Dan). But people kittented on me when I say that
TheMagicConch@ sadly in this forum there are NS fans who dislike/hate Sakura. They always get the chance to diminish her character if anyone say something positive about her, those fans will intervene saying anything they can to prove one wrong.
