why did Kishimoto draw a page having Hinata say she's done chasing Naruto, only to have it be a troll the next page?

I wish I had the opinion of a Japanese fan on that matter. I just want to know if when Hinata said "holding your hand" she meant it was romantic or not.

Is there room for ambiguity in that statement?

In the world of bonds, it's hard to say. Actually, it's more of a which direction. On one direction is the romance side. The other direction is she's implying that she will be the same level as him (not really but you know what she means). Meaning that now she's a ninja with confidence. My guess is the latter because Naruto did compliment her before he left to fight Tobi. She needed that closure about her being strong and stand up for herself. Now, she is strong and confident. Besides, I do think that Naruto has no intention to be in love with her. Everyone in Konoha 11 got a closure except Sakura. So yeah, we are about to witness it.

That's why I will always believe in NS, Sakura has not made clear her romantic feelings for Naruto, regardless of what the haters are saying, Sakura was accused of haven romantic affection for Naruto and she hasn't denied it. she did the opposite she admitted to have them, the question is how deep her feelings for Naruto runs.

Chapter 573 was kinda a troll, I admit. Reading the first part of her speech, I thought for sure Hinata was resolving to move on and be her own person, I turn the page and it's like wot.gif Hinata's speech seems to imply that Hinata wants to actually try a romantic relationship with Naruto, with a confidence that is unlike her. Like NaruSakuForLife said, Naruto "You are strong" statement created that confidence. I doubt that was Naruto's intention to spur her on in actively pursuing him; just to accept she is useful in her own way. It backfired on him, like many things do laugh.gif

NaruHina fans see this as a good thing, but I don't really think it is. I guess I don't really have a problem with Hinata being this forward, just the fact that she thought of that in such a setting .... like a war for instance dry.gif Her thoughts were very one-dimensional. But the bright side to this is that NaruHina fans say Naruto will give Hinata a chance if she's open about her romantic interest. Let's see if there right th_tongue.gif . I hope that Hinata doesn't get a rejection and realizes on her own that Naruto's heart belongs to Sakura and no one else. Seems like a better ending for, which will finally give her character closure(Also I don't think Naruto would feel comfortable giving a rejection to a nice girl like Hinata laugh.gif )

NaruHina fans constantly say that Sakure loves Sasuke, no one else. Don't they find it odd that Sakura's feelings for Naruto are so ambigious and confused? Not mentioning the subtle non-platonic NS moments which neither NH or SS have. Every NH fans I've come across completely twist canon to suit their preference. Ignorance I guess sleep.gif

according to whom? You... until you come up with some kind of credible stats that back up your claim(that N.S. is "unpopular" in America),I think I will ignore it and I would advise that everyone else should do likewise...Darn you made me post and I promised myself I wouldn't get involved in these petty sqaubles anymore!

I made you post? Do not blame me for your own lack of restraint. There have been no polls for popularity anywhere other than Japan, which makes the claim that Hinata is only popular in America ridiculous, as well. Every male fan I have ever met and spoken to tells me, before hearing any opinion of mine or anyone else, that they can't stand Sakura. Feel free to perform this experiment yourself. Approach anyone you don't speak to, anyone who doesn't know you are a fan of the series. Ask them if they are a fan. If they are, before you start pouring your NaruSaku sauce all over them, ask them on their opinion of Sakura. Listen to what they say, and listen to their reasoning. Go ahead. No one is stopping you.

Can we... move on and stop taking silly manga debates so personally? happy.gif
I mean, it really seems like people are getting heated over fictional characters and it kind of ruins the light mood.

Who cares what men prefer in real life, this is an imaginary world with imaginary characters. In Japan, Sakura's character type is very appealing, in others, not so much. Alright, that's fine, and there's nothing anyone can do to change anothers opinion. It's all cultural and some people just can't break out of that mold they were raised in or accept/understand/relate *you name it* another culture like they do theirs.

So... yeah. Now that i have said that, I want it ask, is it uncommon to believe that a woman can be in love with more than one person at a time? I know there's this fantasy that people will love their one true love and ONLY their one true love, but is that kind of love even believable?

Yes, it is unbelievable, because love and infatuation are not the same thing. What Sakura has for Sasuke is infatuation. What she has, and will continue to have, for Naruto, is love.

And this whole "stop taking fictional characters and fictional pairings so personally" thing...really? Can you honestly tell me that this pairing war, this website, or even this discussion would exist at all if the fans did not identify with their favored characters on some personal level? No, what I think you mean to say is "don't take the idea of the pairing so personally unless it is positive and convenient for the NaruSaku defense."

This.

To be honest, if her statement truly means to be romantic, I believe nothing would change. She already confessed her love and that's all the confidence she needed. Naruto doesn't need to return it as Hinata wouldn't mind at all. Naruto's feelings will never change, it only evolves into a mature level. I think the hug back in Konoha didn't hurt her, rather made her happy for Naruto. If anything, I can see that if Naruto goes somewhere, Hinata will tell Sakura about joining him as she means a lot to him. Like the power of one's feelings would mean a lot to a guy, especially from a person whom he loves (reference to Yamato). Let's face it, Naruto won't change at all. I think we should be solid with that. It's all about Sakura from this point on. Remember that.

I was reading some comments a while back stating that Naruto stop asking Sakura for dates when they find out Orochimaru was dead, now according to the big 4 poll in NF, most NH are saying that Naruto stop loving Sakura after the Poal, right now Naruto doesn't care about Sakura anymore, Sakura will always love Sasuke, Hinata will always love Naruto and Naruto will never reject Hinata because he will realize that she always love him and she is a very nice girl. That's is why I keep saying that NH doesn't have any solid argument to justify their pairing, is all about what Hinata wants.

They ignore three key factors, Naruto loves Sakura in a selfless way, He said that he will confess after he keep his promise and they are missing what is primordial in a relationship, development. Additionally NS has Sakura>>>Naruto something they try hard to avoid or deny with the brother sister argument or Sakura loves Sasuke.

Speak about the people who lives in denial.

Funny, I was there just few minutes ago. And trust me, when I finished reading them, I just said to myself, "Please don't get me here." A lot of people are missing the key points. I won't explain because everyone in here already got the picture. If you ask me, the Kage summit arc just shows us how selfless love Naruto is. For every moments that she's sad, Naruto saw her and then react that will cheer her up right away. The whole purpose of last arc for Sakura (besides keep hope alive for reunion) is for her to understand how much Naruto will go in order to complete his goals. Not to mention, Sai moved forward the relationship for Naruto and Sakura. That's why Sakura wants to work together with Naruto in the war arc. Also, she grew concern on his decision with Sasuke. You know, his "death".

On the plus side, in the manga, it seems like Sasuke confrontation won't happen for a while, so that's more time for Naruto and Sakura to develop. If Naruto vs Sasuke is truly the last battle of the manga, then we should be safe since Sakura most likely comes to senses by the end and Naruto will be the last person she will talk to before the final battle, which could be crucial to the development. Also, I can see Naruto saying something that he wanted to tell her after so long (his love for her) before going to the final battle. Her closure is coming and right now, Kishi is building to it.

Also let's not forget one thing. Sakura's is the main chess piece in this whole war. She has to make the decision. Her staying with Sasuke wouldn't make sense and the buildup would be pointless. Her choosing with Naruto will be a shocker to the readers and they will be delighted to see how evolved her character has truly become.

I think when Hinata confess (again) to Naruto, he will reveal to Hinata (and the readers) that he loves Sakura, and maybe after that that conversation, Hinata might help NaruSaku by Hinata speaking to Sakura about how deep Naruto feelings is to Sakura.

What can Hinata do at this point to make Naruto fall in love with her, Naruto's development is already nearly complete, she has nothing to offer him that he can development feelings towards her. Hinata has nothing about her that Naruto wants or needs in a woman. In the whole series Naruto has not once find Hinata attractive (despite having 2 big balloons lol) and has not even blush on the sight or thought of Hinata. Also Naruto still doesn't know everything about Hinata, hell, I dont think Naruto knows Hinata's back story (beside the one Neji told).

Well it could work in two ways:

1) Hinata talks to Naruto about loving Sakura. Naruto probably react the same as when Sai figured out that Naruto loves Sakura. Then Hinata would smile and Naruto will say "Sorry, it's just that Sakura is always the girl that I truly love." Hinata wouldn't mind, but tells him to consider about telling his feelings to her before the big finale begins. In other words, she will try to help Naruto to confess or at least throw a indication that he loves her before the battle. After all, she just done that a while back, right?

2) Hinata talks to Sakura about helping Naruto. Sakura might feel like she will be a burden to him since he's all powerful and he can handle it solo. Hinata will tell her that it doesn't matter if she can't help him with his battle. What matters is her feelings towards Naruto (hence Yamato's statement). Maybe Sakura might bring up her feelings towards Naruto. Hinata will reply "But you are special to Naruto. Naruto is in love with you and I know Naruto will never change." Sakura will smile and leaves. Somewhat to Fairy Tail whether that was a hint or not.

I think the problem with Hinata is that she doesn't really have her own character, outside of Naruto. I'm not a Hinata lover, and that's why. When Hinata realizes that Naruto loves Sakura, I encourage her to think of more important goals like becoming the leader of her Clan and gaining the confidence to lead it with pride. I was always interested in seeing Hinata accomplish that and I was severely disapointed that she seemingly 'forgot' about it. I think her becoming a respected heiress shows her value much more than just "Winning Naruto's heart" like NaruHina fans claim. Only then will I respect Hinata a lot more.

Naruto is incredibly stubborn and determined when it comes to his mindset, if is faith and hope for Sasuke is any indication. Which is why I am shocked when people expect him to move onto Hinata. I remember mentioning to a SS/NH fan about this and she said romance doesn't have to be counted into Naruto's 'never give up' personality. Only important things facepalm.png. Also so many feel that after Sakura's "failfession" this gives him the right to move on from Sakura, because she apparently 'lied' and 'manipulated' him(Those fans do not understand Sakura's character). The confesion was FOR Naruto and not about her at all. I daresay that was one of the most selfless things she's ever done. That would only strengthen Naruto's feelings, not diminish it.

I know Hinata. Upon the realization that Naruto loves Sakura, she'll be sad and hurt but not bitter or resentful. She'd be in sad acceptance, not jealous or confused. I even think she'd push Naruto to open up his feelings to Sakura, so he could be happy. Hinata may seem self-involved at times, but's she's a good person still. I know she'll always have a fondness for Naruto, but it's best if she moves on.

It's true. The pairings ending is all about Sakura and her feelings as well as decision. I bet even the NaruHina fans know this.

I don't hate her at all. I just hope Kishi doesn't force or shove it to our throats. I highly doubt it, but let's just say he does. If he do, it will feel forced and everyone in general will feel that the mangaka has changed the direction. The manga is approaching to the end and any development that will change Naruto's thoughts (not that it will ever happen) is too late. Everything he wants/desire is set in stone. Nothing can change it. Hinata's part is done. Now, we off to the last remaining character's closure.

Nevertheless, I hear rantings about how annoying she is, about how she should get a hobby, or focus on being the leader of her clan, or have some purpose other than Naruto. But then those same people turn around and hope she ends up happy later on, just so long as it isn't with Naruto. It's a bit patronizing.
On the morning of Wednesday, April 11th, 2012, my Aunt Karla passed away. She was my mother's baby sister, and my coolest aunt when I was a kid. She was the best babysitter ever, and she was like an older sister to me.

Karly, I don't know if you can hear this. I am not a believer, I haven't been since Sheryl died. But if you can, I want you to know that I'm truly sorry for everything bad I've ever said about you. When you were suffering, I should have been there to help you. I should have visited. I should have encouraged you to leave the house and get a job, to be active and alive the way you used to be.

I promise that I will do everything that I can to be successful and a good person, to make you proud the way you would have wanted me to. No matter what I said, I loved you. And I will always love you. Rest in Peace, you will never be forgotten.

Well one thing is somewhat puzzling is her purpose or at least how people sees it. They assume her life is all about Naruto. I always assume her life is like seeking for a teacher to teach her to build confidence. Sure, she loves him, but that ship is long gone. Again, I don't want Kishi to shove it in our throats that it will come off really forced for NH to happen. I want to like Hinata for understanding to build confidence, not being pairing fodder as some people point out. It will be ironic for fans since people bashed Sakura to be one, which I never saw her that, but that's another story.

To be frank, I don't see any one of the female characters in this series to be pairing fodder. I would like to think that Kishimoto is above such garbage. And while we're at it, romantically speaking, I don't hate any of the female characters in this series. But I don't particularly like any of them, either. The only exception would be Shizune, but there isn't any moral reasoning to it. She's just cute. lol

I don't care about the pairings nearly as much as I do about the logical flow of the story, and that Kishimoto doesn't do anything to contradict the story as he has developed it so far. I have no love for Sakura. But the NS pairing is the only conclusion that would bring the story full circle without giving the finger to everyone who has watched its development so far, fantasizing fangirls or no. NS must happen because every line of development has lead to that outcome. So if he is truly a competent storyteller, he will either end this with NS or open-ended with no pairings at all. Nothing else makes sense.
