please forget i posted that last statement. i was being too fearful to see how stupid the comment i put there was.
Eyy it's all good, I have my doubts and get worried about NaruSaku sometimes too. But I realized many things after getting active on this post. While Sakura's intentions were (partially) to relieve Naruto from his Promise of a Lifetime, it was also because shes loves him so much that she would never want to lose him, thus "using" his feelings to try and prevent him from putting himself in danger anymore. However, there's more to it than her Promise she made him make, Naruto wants him too, he's still their teammate. It's similar to Sakura's feelings for Sasuke, she may fell out of love with him, but he's still a teammate in the world of ninja and regardless, she still cares for him. But you can see that she is falling for Naruto. Her confession wasn't A LIE.
Kishimoto said himself in an interview that Sakura was being totally honest in her confessing that she fell in love with Naruto. While Sasuke's feeling still cloud a bunch of things for Sakura, in the end she can't live without Naruto.
PLUS, she said that she didn't want to "make anymore mistakes" and her LIEING about LOVING NARUTO would've been a total mistake! Probably worst than her making Naruto to promise to bring Sasuke back. It is way more drastic, and Sakura ain't dumb (maybe a little when it comes to feelings, because it took her so long to figure out what she feels for NARUTO) but she wouldn't have put that total risk and lied to him. In the long run that would KILL Naruto.
Also, look at her reaction when Naruto told her she's lieing to herself. She was genuinly angry at Naruto for saying such a thing when she was really telling the truth. To me, I feel like people doubt it and think it's a lie because of the TIMING and SITUATION she said it. Like Naruto said "Why all of a sudden? Why now?" That was his response to her angry gesture, not telling her "YOU STILL LOVE SASUKE SHUT UP!" He was just very SUPRISED at the TIMING. It was a shock to me also, but that's the genius of Kishimoto's writing I believe. He continues the possibility of other couples, yet makes NaruSaku pretty obvious to those who can catch it. He's so subtle and sly when he sneaks in those little things. But Sakura was even blushing when she told him. I think because of the war and everything that's going on, it's a little too tense and not the right time to be saying and revealing such things. However, this confession REQUIRES a confrontation between the two eventually.
And with such war and possible deaths around them, it may prove a very good confrontation for the two. It will be more meaningful because they both don't want to lose eachother. We may be a little far from a NaruSaku moment (or who knows Kishi never fails to suprise us), but I'm sure that after the war arc, these feelings and revelations will have to be figured out. And I'm highly confident that'll it turn out GOOD for NaruSaku!

Kishi alone, saying that Sakura's confession was 100% real, really puts the nail in the coffin for me. However, I still look forward to how they will finally get everything out of the way and date and become lovers officially. Pretty sure, once the war is over

.
But yeah, Sakura's confession was a big turning point for NaruSaku, and don't stress, it's definitely a big turning point in Naruto and Sakura's favor! Naruto is just still stubborn and may not see that Sakura has eyes for him TOO.
Hope this helped out.
