I don't want it to go on. Act like it's a big battle. A lot of series often makes it like a 4 year arc when it doesn't have to be a year even. Unless they want to make a war a background as there are still arcs going on, like "The fortress is just powerful. Perhaps we have to find 'him'. He knows a special magic. Go ahead and get him. We'll hold them off." Basically like AoT, you know there's a war but that won't stop them to do arcs around that time.
That's the problem. They all feel like they have to stay on it and keep surrounding for a long period of time. One Piece had a war and it was just one big arena of crapload of people. It didn't take long, it got to the point, it was all around war, it was fine. Yes, I know some people hates it, but hey, what war in WSJ is better than OP in recent event. Basically, when I say war, I want it to be one big epic battle with involving many characters. Not a lot of series knows how to work that way, which is unfortunate, because war is something that literally bring all genres into one bag. Action, romance, and drama.
Now do I have faith in FT to do that well? Not really, but I would like to see them try. Just don't do horribly. Try and see where you land. Dragons invasion was good until it ended too quick and copout happened. I would prefer both sides being gray about it but I guess Arbaless Kingdom is just evil, but it will do. I guess that's why I appreciate OP, despite what people said. So yeah, let's see how well he can do.
