Though, I think he got Sasuke wrong on purpose, for Sakura's sake. -as in, to distract her-

Most of the genjutsu is what they wanted. The rest is to throw them off or confuse them or Tobi just got the other characters all wrong because he doesn't know them.

Naruto would love for his parents to be alive again. If his parents were to be revived, he would likely never want to let them go. Even if he found out they were fake, he would still want to be with them, it would be very hard.

I assume Tobi/Madara assumed what Sakura would have wanted most is a Sasuke that returned her feelings and advances. She would want to be with the one he thinks she loves most. It probably wasn't even his intention to have her trapped in the genjutsu, but he had to do something to keep her aloof or make her want to stay.

Or maybe she wanted to understand Naruto better the most. From the looks of it, Sakura and Naruto could have completely switched lives. In the end, I think it might backfire. The Sasuke part at least.

As for the rest, it would have made more sense to make them as much like themselves as possible, but think about it. Tobi doesn't know those people personally. He might get a lot of it wrong *or all of it*.

But what is really interesting is.... well, I may be thinking too much about it, but it looks like he gets Kushina and Minato's personalities very correct. How would he know how they acted while they were alive so well if he didn't know them himself at some point of time. I mean, this is a movie and all, but Kishi is behind it still. Wouldn't his parents be off a little too? Unless that theory that Minato and Kushina aren't exactly part of the genjutsu and came about due to the small amount of their chakra that is in Naruto is true.

The photo album, shows that he had a past, Minato and Kushina being part of his chakra nullify his past.

Why Tobi made Tsunade without any boobs, if he wanted to keep Naruto trapped he shouldn't of change anyone's personality, he should only had MinaKushi and made Sasuke likes Sakura to avoid her from helping Naruto.

To be honest this movie is crazy.

....i still have to disagree XD.....I think kushina, minato, and sasuke are what naruto and sakura desire :3

to me....tobi simply made a world and made each person fit his own description so he can stall naruto and sakura to get his job done in the real world ( maybe he thought these personalities were best for the job.)

so why he change the characters like tsunade ino and others that arent relevant to the story, saying that sasuke and naruto's family does not explain the personality change of the other characters including kiba, and even that "Pig", so if u say that sasuke was made to distract sakura, so everyone was made to distract, why he didnt keep the personalities of people like ino, gai, kakashi.

distraction didnt u see that he was going to destroy the AU's world too with a invasion or something like that.

i think the councils does not work with madara and plus he knows a lot of things that even the council didnt know he pass by the guards and his has zetsu that can track anyone on a Huge area, plus his time-space jutsus.

Here's a thought, remember how Kushina was friends with Sasuke's mom, and how she said that she hopes that Naruto and Sasuke will become friends. Well, if Kushina is still alive wouldn't she still be friends with Sasuke's mom, provided if the Uchilia massacre didn't happen. So wouldn't Naruto and Sasuke grew up together, thus essentially becoming the best friends that Naruto always wanted them to be?

And if the Uchilia massacre still happen, why does it seem that Sasuke is much more happy and flirty, provided, yet again, if he isn't secretly still crazy and evil. I know in the normal reality he lived all be himself, similar to how Naruto lived when he was an orphan, but seeing how Kushina was Sasuke's mom's friend why wouldn't she offer to raise him after his parents died? Maybe this Sasuke would have literally have became Naruto's (adoptive) brother. Sure, we have seen pictures with just Naruto and his parents, but only up to a certain age, possible before the massacre.

I don't know, just a crazy theory I just came up with that really has no evidence.

Well, what I want to know are three things:

1) How Sakura got caught in the genjutsu? It always seem Naruto was supposed to be the only one, especially how Tobi is so determined.

2) What roles does Sakura's parents have? They sure went through a lot for description, so I don't think they will be dead. But I could be wrong.

3) Why Minato and Kushina are "normal" compared to other?

Speculations, speculations. Wasn't there a dark Naruto in this movie?

Sasuke ask Sakura if she was not happy that he returned? This part is very odd, why Sasuke will ask her that question?

Isn't that question implies that Sasuke return from his revenge path, so why would he do a 180 and start flirting with Sakura like if nothing ever happen?

How far in Manga cannon they was before Tobi attacked them?

The new personality fict an AU Sasuke, but he asks Sakura that specific question, so his new behavior doesn't match.

That is why I figured this AU Sasuke is putting on an act. He's back in the village, but his attitude towards Sakura is suspicious.

I theorized this is becausethis AU Sasuke is still bad, working with Tobi still somehow.

Since the other characters are genuinely opposite of their true selves, I don't know why Sasuke would be any different. This AU version probably isn't putting on an act, and is actually interested in Sakura to an extent.

Whay you just say makes more sense than many of the speculation we use. Like Azures just mention it seems that the translation is correct, so his return timing is too perfect.

This's why I strongly believe that is an error translation, it doesn't make any sense for him to say that, and it's even more odd that he return to the the same moment Tobi is planning his evil plot.
