It's a bit too much like a Naruto copy. Better to make the character be in the middle of some action or something to kind of obscure him. So he is not the sole object of the cover. 'Cause I'm pretty sure someone can make the case for copyright infringement or something along that line.

It's a Naruto and LoTR AU compilation set in the Norse and European Mythology. It does give you that Percy Jackson and Marvel Cinematic vibe.

Wouldn't be a Naruto AU if it was not a copy of Naruto to begin with  The cover is no profit and non marketable. Although sooner or later someone from Viz could make a case of in infringement. I'm hoping  the US department of Library of Congress (copyright office) can quickly approve not just my manuscript but the art very shortly.

well while I was at Ria's (my cousin) place we were both looking into what this person has in mind with the female characters, and it's kinda interesting with what Link2time had to say: "Hinata herself won't be as one note as I think she's sometimes depicted in the original series. I try to give her some more layers beyond "Naruto-kun!". I liked her characterization in her fight with Neji for example. Like Sakura, I want to make her a good heroine as opposed to just a love interest. screaming "Sasuke-kun."

 

I'll be honest, if it's anything like the Hinata that Ria and I have been writing in our version of The Last fanfic.. then this something I'll be looking forward to. 

 

 

This is just a quick sketch of the design Link2Time, they mentioned that they're still gonna detail out the art on it more..

 

 

 

 

 

Not gonna lie.. at first glance she kinda looked like a female Sasuke, but I kinda like it.

 

 

 

 

 

Just a little note i thought'd mention in regards to NS in reNaruto Link2time had this to say: I prefer them having a fantastic friendship. Sakura will become one of the people Naruto trusts most and confides in (and visa versa) Not exactly a romantic one. Naruto will still have a crush on Sakura throughout a lot of Part 1, but it will be toned down a little. Part 1 will spend a lot of time showing how Team 7's relationships to each other evolve and Naruto's infatuation with Sakura will change as well.  

 

 

I'm not sure if I'm the only one who feels this way, but i'm guessing he's gonna take the Harry and Hermione route with Naruto and Sakura in their reboot manga.

Okay now that I've got some context as to what to for reNaruto, I'll say this... I'm still gonna go ahead and give reNaruto a shot in how Link2time handles it since their version has nothing to do with the canon storyline. I guess the best way to consider this is like with Marvel comics in a way.. You got the main universe 616  and then you got 1610 universe (ultimate)...  I mean as a writer myself, I'm all up for different interpretation of characters like with RTN the way you had canon Hinata and RTN Hinata, and I will admit RTN Hinata is a better character since I feel she has some not alot just some personality to her, and I think she's just hilarious in general. 

 

Anyway, I'm quite curious how Link2Time's gonna handle the characters cause judging by artwork alone i can tell they're putting alot of passion behind it, and i'm curious how they're gonna handle Naruto and Sakura's friendship even if it's just platonic. 

 

Don't think for a second that this means that reading reNaruto will switch me to a NH/SS fan cause it won't.. No matter what happens until the end of the time I will always ship NaruSaku to the very end.. No matter how many punches any NH/SS fan throws at me I'll keep gettting back on feet saying "Is that all you got" heck my headstone could also leave a message "Still a NaruSaku fan in death kitten"

I'm tied of waiting. I'm tired of giving up. I'm gonna find a way to contact Kishimoto directly, and ask for an alternate ending. Whether it'd be canon or not. I'm not asking for a ending change, mind you, I'm asking for a timeline or even a stupid dream that leads Naruto and Sakura, to find love together.

Please, I don't need pessimistic attitudes, I need the support from everyone. This is just one man, if he can get in touch with one of us, we can(respectfully) ask for the alt-ending we want. It may come woth fee, it may not, who knows(most likely will)? I think instead of moping and complaining, and some waiting for theories to come to fruition, act now. Get support from everyone who were old members, like Chatte or LadyGT, etc. If nothing else, just help me with support. I'm starting now.

You are saying that you don't want a pessimistic response, so I'll give you a realistic response: Kishimoto doesn't "own" Naruto; he created Naruto and pretty much sold his soul to Shounen Jump. Your letters mean nothing because he doesn't "own" Naruto, you have a better chance writing letters to SJ. Kishi already mentioned how he had to climb steep hills just for them to approve of Naruto's Male Harem Jutsu. Then you have money: unless profit can be made for the alternative ending, the will not spend a dime. How far do you want it to be? Just to replace the last two chapters or a Boruto like movie? If they are going to put time into creating and alt ending , they would want something in return as well. Then you have fans; you ask for an alt ending, you'll have SNS asking for an alt ending, then you'll have salty NH/ SS asking for a better version of the ending then we have just another meaningless war over. Already, no one will risk an alt ending with backlash, with Bolt still being created. If you want an alt ending you need to talk to the pro ending fans about issues with an alt ending. Lately from what I've seen a lot of SS shippers have a soft spot for NS. Then you have NS shippers who want nothing to do with the Naruto franchise and are creating their own stories. And other shippers who moved on from Naruto. There are better series outside of Naruto. 

 

Anyway, after the whole Boruto franchise is over and what not, I think they might explore the ideas of a Naruto reboot. Or Kishi might pull a JKR. I'm not saying you can't do it, it's just that other people have already done it before (wrote letters to Kishi) on deaf ears. Your. Best chance is if the Boruto franchise proves to be a failure in the end and people are still interested enough for a alt ending.

Like NeonRanger said, Kishimoto can't help you cause he's not totally in power of Naruto. You'll have to talk with executives and Shounen Jump and Shueisha.

 

If you want something from Kishimoto, there's another manga he's going to make in another magazine where his past editor till Pein Arc is. So, try this one by seeing few chapters at the beginning. Though, there's no information when it's going to start.

Kishi even said how he didn't understand Hinata's popularity. 

 

I know Kishi is a bad writer, but I personally felt that if we had gave more support/critic towards problems we had towards the manga early on, the ending might be different. Some might have had blind confidence in Kishi, but the fact that he heard his haters more was what really changed his direction at points. 

 

I could say Kishi should just ignore that haters, but not  everyone would be motivated enough to continue writing for a character that "majority" hates. Even worse a secondary character who hasn't even received even half of a development of the heroine manages to surge in popularity while you're trying to make sure heroine stays popular.

Yeah, seems the direction was influenced by haters. Some of the seniors where he works on his manga were influenced too it seems. I think Kishimoto was influenced majorly by his seniors and somewhat by the haters.

 

The haters aren't that much big in number though.

 

I remember in some thread, the reason of why NH happened is cause of Studio Pierrot, if I'm not mistaken, and Kishimoto along with other mangakas were fighting for NS. It was said by a Japanese person that a friend of him / hers who worked at the studio knew of what's happening. Though, don't know how much it's credible.

 

Edit : Like Bail o' Lies said, the Japanese's friend works at Shonen Jump. Yeah, I remember his / her friend's place now.

But Kishimoto and Yahagi didn't care and kept Sakura as the heroine for multiple reasons. Then when Yahagi left the new editors for some reason or another decided to push Hinata as the main heroine. Kishi again rejected it and got the other mangaka to support him. Which the editors then showed kishi fanmail and youtube reviewers that hated Sakura to convince him to change the heroine. Kishi tried to make Sakura more appealing to the fans. But did not understand why they hated Sakura and like Hinata. So he failed gave up and agreed to make Hinata the heroine since that's what he became convinced was what the fans wanted near the end. Then the events after the ending showed him the opposite was true. Now he just wants to leave and work on something else; but they won't let him.

If Yahagi did they both still ignored it, because Hinata gain no prominence or significant scene that would warrant the idea of her replacing Sakura as the heroine under his tenure as editor after the chunin exam.

Knowing that we we're drawing near the release of the Boruto chapter (assumming it's this week ofcourse) i decided to journey into the depths of reddit, and i found something that really struck me because it's the absolute truth.

 

It's titled The Real Reason Why Naruto liked Sakura 

 

-   In the manga and anime, he transforms into Sasuke and walks up to Sakura to understand her feelings, she says she wants him to acknowledge her and then Naruto thinks/says he feels like he finally understands why he likes her. They both feel like no one understands them and will do their best to be acknowledged (their goal). It's too late now but I think Kishi should've ended that side of the story differently instead of saying he only liked her because of his rivalry with Sasuke. Hinata would've been more accepted to be with Naruto by everyone I guess if she was shown to try more like learning a new jutsu which the both of them could use together (hard to explain) instead of just fainting and wanting to get stronger. I hate seeing the story end but it would be nice to see the whole story remade, older episodes given better quality and plot holes fixed.

Whelp, this makes me not want to read it now. Mostly because it sounds like it will end with NH and SS again.

Can I get a good written story of Naruto with a NS ending instead of people just "toning down" what is already there?
It may sound selfish, but for me now, it is NS or bust. Not because of being a pairing fan, but mostly because even if you "rewrite" how NH or SS get together in a "better light," it still has this horrible tastes thanks to what we got.

I am probably sound hateful right now, but...it is how I feel. The greatest respect is telling the truth.

I guess that is really impossible now. It is hard to write a Naruto story without having a pairing bias in it. Either because it was placed there or because that is all Naruto has become.

Even rewrites like this can't just erase the damage that has been done.
