I'm more upset that Kishi didn't announce his next work and instead, join the dark side aka returning back already to what makes easy money. I mean yes, people do go back, but why not work others before so. Naruto end is barely 2 years old, I want to stay fresh. Instead, it thinks it can be better than Super.

Like let's look at The Last of Us Part II, what i love about  the reason behind why they're making it is not because of the fans, but because they have a story they want to tell.  Naruto I feel with it's sequels is just simply because of cash grab I mean sure I think the Boruto movie was okay for what it was, but with the manga's direction its' nothing rinse wash and repeat.  Even the first 5 or 6 pages of the first Boruto chapter where people got excited with Kawaki and i'm like there's nothing original about that rivalry (if that's what it's portraying) cause its Naruto and Sasuke all over again.  I mean yeah based on Chapter 700, Gaiden and the Boruto movie (to certain points) Sarada was being portrayed as Boruto's rival... which felt a little interesting mainly cause all the rivalry in the original manga was between Boy and boy (Naruto and Sasuke) or girl and girl (Sakura and Ino)..  and if "not to say it'll happen or that i'm shipping them like Fed Ex" but I think the banter could've been interesting if there came that point and they "ever" get together unless it's some bs red herring which wouldn't really surprise me.  

 

 

Sorry I just had to get that off my chest.. but point is like you mentioned his next work should've been the focus instead of relying back on Naruto.  I mean I wouldn't be surprised if it was  a "jump thing" as to what most people that I know are mentioning.

Naruto Live Action Hollywood Movie is happening. Director: Michael Gracey. Some guy...Kishimoto is behind it, but since art isn't needed, it leaves to writing. Yeah...We got DBE sequel in works.................
 
 

The movie could break the anime adaptation curse, by breaking the curse I mean it receive commercial success or even critical success.

Afterall, you'll never know, perhaps it would become the xmen of manga adaptation and thus starting the success of boxoffice movie.
Or it could be another flop.

I think it would copy dr.strange action scene.

If DBE couldn't do it, what makes Naruto work any better? Dragon Ball is far popular in USA than Naruto.

I still think it's hilarious that they haven't said anything about the Boruto Movie bluray release in the US since The Last was almost instant with the dub after it had come out in japan.

By better I mean better at entertaining the audience even with the expense of deviate from the source material.

A popularity of the source material will not help the movie adaptation if the movie itself is truly bad.

There's no way around it. I would call it movie of the year if they make it passable. It just won't work. You have to be close to real to do good. It's too fantasy to make it work.

Greed greed is what win kishi I know alot of you think this man was being force to do this but I don't believe it Naruto manga got a crappy ending so that Boruto have a crappy beginning man I thought he was done with Naruto goes to show he's just a dame ass lier

The fan reactions being so split about Part II also support it - some are, understandably, really excited to see the world further expanded on and seeing what happened/happens and such while other fans are actually a little skeptical and asking, "Why? The way the first game ended was perfect. There's no need for a sequel."

In a way, one could look at George Romero's "Dead" films. One could say Night, Dawn, Day, etc. ended just fine and there being no need for so many sequel films, but because there's such potential for various situations and how the story could develop, more films got made (even if they're not all so masterful).

It could work actually, even if they pretty much butcher the source material into a highschool teen movie with ninja as secret society try to protect the world like dbe, as long as the movie itself could entertain the audience then it could become a commercial succes.

I don't say that this movie would be guarantee for a commercial success thus breaking the curse. I just want to said that anything could happen and nothing is impossible, especially considering that naruto for some reason has a really good adaptation from manga to X media.

Especially if Sam raimi is the producer, I can see they use spider man movie aproach for the story.

I understand. The problem is first impression is pretty weak right now. First visual impression is what we have to wait on. Still, it has no sense of good in there. News like to sell it big but after series of flops, it's not farfetched to be doubtful.

I agree with that.
I just think rather than brush it off simply because it's a manga adaptation rarely do good. We should wait and see because there's chance the production will make a commercial success. Even if the chance for that to happen is small.

I think it would be play like Sam raimi spiderman with doctor strange action.

Kishi is not a great story teller nor he a great comedy writer, so I wouldn't surprise that he doesn't start his "desire" manga.

Wonder why not start a new one as he kept talking about. I mean I don't mind much if he didn't bring it up that often, but since he did, I'm just waiting on it.
