Not liking UlquiHime the best

Lol I love UlquiHime but..you know..it is stockholm syndrome and Ulquiorra is like dead.
When did you start liking UlquiHime Miss Soupy? I always heard about it but never got the hype until the Lust Arc. It's a very dark pairing.
It's not Stockholm Syndrome since the captor is the one who basically got interested in the captive XD
Hrm, well, I started liking UO as a crack pairing. I never really expected it to go as far as it did, but when THE SLAP happened, I was pretty much sold. Like, my girl Orihime having a backbone? Ah yes, I can get behind that! The major thing about UO for me was always that Orihime stood up for herself finally. Before that, she had always wanted to be strong for Ichigo, and always got down on herself for failing to do that. But she stood up against Ulquiorra, and I was cheering her on for that.
Then Kubo started adding some really interesting, subtle details about Ulquiorra's perspective. He was standing outside of her room, listening to her crying. We get the volume sketch titled Everything Divides Us, with Ulquiorra reaching his hand out. And I realized, Ulquiorra is trying to understand her. A super loyal Hollow is acting all curious for a human. Ulquiorra's focus on her made for great pairing material. It's Light and Dark. It's a need for understanding. It's a potential for a bad guy to turn into something more. All great things.
Fast forward to Grimmjow taking Orihime and the shared line about messing with the others 'prey'. Ichigo being Grimmjow's, Orihime being Ulquiorra's. Ichigo is Grimmjow's curiosity and obsession, Orihime is Ulquiorra's curiosity and obsession. Gave me all kinds of pairing feels, honestly. XD Ship was going places.
Then we get the Sins chapters and The Lust volume complete with a character poem all about Ulquiorra 'lusting' about everything Orihime is. Yeah it's official, she's special to him. But it's also conflicting for him; he wants to break that feeling down. He goes as far as to kill Ichigo to attempt to destroy those human feelings, and what ends up happening is that he looks guilty about what he did to her. His last moments he spends wanting to know if, after everything, Orihime is afraid of him.
She isn't, and he dies understanding that her reaching out for him was love and concern. It was the Heart, the thing a hollow can't possibly understand since hollows have lost their hearts, the thing Kaien tells Rukia to not die without. The Heart, an unbreakable bond. But he gets it. It's so beautiful!
Then after all of that, Kubo writes a special Ulquiorra backstory chapter in the databook, complete with more UlquiHime, of course. You can't tell me Kubo didn't ship them. Through Ulquiorra we were able to see Orihime's strength. That hadn't been done through Ichigo, where she generally felt weak and unneeded and unsure of herself. That's why I support UO so strongly, because Orihime is so strong in that pairing!

I agree that Orihime became stronger in the Hueco Mundo arc but it was also because she had her friends in mind and it doesn't justify the Arrancars and Aizen being cruel to her.

I agree that Orihime became stronger in the Hueco Mundo arc but it was also because she had her friends in mind and it doesn't justify the Arrancars and Aizen being cruel to her.
They're Hollows, though. They aren't humans with the capability to understand that difference. The point was that Orihime changed Ulquiorra, a Hollow, to the point where he understood emotion. That is extremely deep development.

Ulquiorra's had his own moments where he's made Orihime weak anyway like when he killed Ichigo and injured Uryu in front of her causing her to have a mental breakdown.
Yeah, he was testing her, like he tested Ichigo earlier. Because he didn't understand what it meant to care. You're right, he did break her down. He wanted to. The thing is, he felt guilty about it. A hollow felt guilty for doing what came natural. He changed. When has Orihime changed Ichigo? When has she done something that HUGE? She gave a monster his heart back.
I also disagree about Ichigo making Orihime weak; She's shown her badass side while protecting him from Ginjo and defending Ichigo and her friends was the reason she stood up to Ulquiorra in the first place. He motivates her.
That moment with Ginjo came after the Arrancar Arc, so it doesn't count for when I'm referencing. Yes, Ichigo motivates her, never claimed he or her friends didn't! However, Orihime's love for Ichigo didn't make her stronger during that arc. Her dependence made her completely break down. All she could do was utter his name. She lost it. She certainly didn't look beautiful when she was losing her mind over him, or when she was doubting him with his mask on during the Grimmjow fight. Imo, the beautiful moment came when she told her enemy she wasn't afraid (that image was seen through Ulquiorra's eyes, even). I thought that was very courageous and made her look very strong, compared to her behavior right before.
Don't get me wrong; I love UlquiHime for its darkness and Beauty and the Beast themes but I don't really believe kidnapping is the most shining example of making a woman strong.
Ulquiorra being humanized is a big deal. He's the hollow who has Nihilism as his vice, which means he doesn't care about anything. Nothing has meaning. In the end, he did care - about Orihime. She gave him meaning. Even told her so, and Orihime, rather than being disgusted, was upset about what happened to him. Ichigo recalled it when Yammi didn't care about his comrade dying. Orihime didn't hold kidnapping against him - she reached out to him.
Sorry. XD I think Ichigo and Uryu are the best matches for Orihime right now.
Nothing I can say except, well they are living, so I guess that's true, hehe.

People don't like Ishida? What?...Fandoms nowadays, I don't understand them anymoreA lot of people don't like Ishida in the fandom and I have no idea why! >.< He's smart and funny and badass and good-looking hehehe... Not to mention he has a dorky charm. He always places high in the voting polls but most of my friends dislike him saying he's "haughty" etc. Can someone explain this to me?

Chad is basically ignored in the fandom. Poor guy. I like him.
Tell me about it, I remember when it came to Soul Society people were like Wow this guy was awesome, and then suddenly after that arc people were just like yeah he's getting untrusting now. Honestly for me I think Chad's okay at this point, I just wish there was more added to his character.

THAT'S WHAT HEROES DO, THEY SAVE PEOPLE!!

XD yup she surely does.So in the last chapter Renji and Rukia appeared again. Can't wait till they catch up with Ichigo and co. I'm wondering if Uryu's going to react to Orihime's outfit in a similar way Ichigo did lol. He did it before in the SS arc when she almost took her shirt off in front of him. XD (man Orihime just brings out your inner pervert >.<)
I'm also wondering when Grimmjow's going to show up. And Aizen. Kubo needs to speed things up.

XD yup she surely does.
But wait grimmjow is dead! Isnt he?
And whats his work here at this point anyway?
Grimmjow is confirmed to be alive, people are waiting to see if he appears and I'm also waiting for the full bringers to appear since I know they're still alive and went off to train
