Associating Sakura (as well as Hinata, and to lesser extent Orihime) with "mediocre" is an insult to mediocre things everywhere. I know I mentioned being an anti-Sakura/Hinata/Orihime earlier, but she's much more of an anti-Sakura than anything else. Already, she has eclipsed Sakura and is everything Sakura should have been.

Ochako is literally the anti-Sakura/Hinata/Orihime, and I love it. Her growth has been tremendous. Insanely happy that she's completely come to terms with her feelings, even if she decided that it's not the right time to harp on them.

 

Eh don't need to mention them for 2 reasons.

 

1. This is a BnHA thread so they have nothing to do with it.

 

2. Of course Ochako is is an infinetley better character than any of them. She's shown to be a thorough action-girl and doesn't confess at the most inappropriate times. That said, Sakura and Orihime weren't so bad  in my Opinion. They had priorities besides their love interest, and were not one noted like Hinata

2.) @bold, seriously? Sakura was busy slobbering and crying over Sasuke and what he thought of her during a war, and cried and begged to him before he was going to fight Naruto during said war. Then later, Sakura couldn't resist begging to run off with Sasuke and abandon everything you claim she supposedly cared about for someone that tried to murder her multiple times and showed himself killing her in a genjutsu. Orihime wasn't much better, she let Kisuke trick her into wearing a dress that showed a bunch of her clevage in order to get Ichigo to notice her in the middle of a war. So no, Sakura was as bad as Hinata, and Orihime wasn't much better.

I haven't been able to check it out due to college mainly, but I'm gonna try to do  a catch up live reaction for this and Fairy Tail sometime today, but I guess I figure I should ask if anything big's  been happening?

1. Perhaps but this thread isn't about Shonen Jump in General is it? It's about BnHa so that is essentially is going off topic
 
2. I don't deny those things for any of them but again. Sakura shows care for her team mates besides Sasuke and Naruto. Her character isn't entirely revolved about being a one dimensional love interest. She shows protectiveness to friends and civilians becasue thats her job as a medic. Orihime herself has friends like Tatsuki and is actually friends with Rukia, and her wanting to go to Soul society to rescue her is because she wants to save Rukia. Again I'm not DENYING what you say, but they are not one dimensional where as Hinata is

The main problem is how they prioritized their character and love has got them all over it. Those moments do happen but the later development made sure it is heavily disregarded; therefore, we don't have that much care for it. War Arc for both have them mostly thinking about the guy. It's fine but the way it was addressed keep making that as the only primary. Because of that, we start to ironically not want them to get that love.

Sasuke for Sakura is like beyond horrible. Ichigo for Orihime is not bad but underserving, let alone not being the best choice. Deku and Ochako is straight forward and understandable, so we don't mind. Plus, she stated before love that she wants to be a hero to owe up her family. That's sweet. Sakura's first goal is Sasuke. Wow...Orihime wants Ichigo but feel like done nothing, only to still win. Why?

This is why I appreciate this development.

You know, it feels like whatever if it's the hot topic, that would be your main focus of the review. What's funny is that I thought I was in the minority before I start reading comment. Same with Nanatsu no Taizai. That or perhaps our mindset is almost the same. I don't know, maybe it's just me.

It doesn't matter, Ochako is a character in BnHA, thus it's on topic.

All three of them were one dimensional, Sakura and Hinata moreso than Orihime.

I think the main fault for Orihime relies on the fact that she has an incredibly OP for whatever reason yet the use is too minimum. It's literally a walking plot device, so how can you butcher it...
