Well, it's a bit of both, though the 'playing hard to get' is not consciously from Naruto, he's not that type of person.
But it does give him an appeal when he did not immediately jump to Sakura's confession (from MY point of view). It takes him away from the puppy lovey type he would surely have been branded if he accepted her straight away (even if she 100% meant it).
Given their history, a first confession could not have worked straight away (as many fanfics has worked upon, BEFORE the confession appeared on the manga.) And I don't mean it in a angtsy way, but more in a generous and love mark from Naruto.

I don't know if I'm making any sense, lol.

Minato told her to say any last words to Naruto for it'll be a while till she sees him again, and she stated many aspects of his life, AND the last aspect was women. She said (I may not be exact) 'As for women... I'm a woman myself so I don't know all that much... BUT don't get someone strange! Get someone like your mother..'

Naruto once told Hinata that he thought she was pretty strange...

Kushina most resembles... Sakura? The hair stands out just like Sakura and Kushina hit Naruto on the head JUST like Sakura with the same exact expression on her face.

*Another little thing, Yahiko and Konan seemed to have fell in love with eachother in the manga, they stared at eachother longingly and their faces inched closer when Konan was wrapping Yahiko's wounds. Naruto most resembles Yahiko because of his grin, positive attitude, kiddish demeanor, and determination. And Sakura and Konan... duh. They look the same. This may be another symbolism/foreshadowing method.

The first statement has been mentioned many times before but you're right.

The second thing never noticed some kind of romance going on between Yahiko and Konan. But think it's kind of a superficial comparison to NaruSaku

Hmm... There's something bothering me... In chapter 505 (at the very beginning), when Naruto compares how he lives his life with what Kushina/Minato wanted it to be like

☇ eat a lot and grow up to be a big boy
☇ take your bath every day
☇ go to bed early and sleep well
☇ make sure listen to the teachers, etc.

Naruto 'answered' all of these things, except the one about a girlfiend(!!) What could this mean?.. He's not sure about his feelings towards Sakura right now or something?

The Kushina/Sakura resemblance: That jumped to eyes immediately. Their unusual hair colour, their temper, their habit of punching people they love, their strong character...
But the funny thing is I still had a huge fight on the board on which I usually read the mangas (they are majorly NaruHina over there) - they refused to see the resemblance at all. In fact, they claim that it's Hinata who resembles Kushina
Why? because Hinata was willing to give up her life for Naruto, same as Kushina.

Yeah, there had been a major speculation as to why only the issue of Naruto's finding a girl like Kushina was not mentioned here. Personally, I believe it's for the same reason that there has been no confrontation between Naruto/Hinata and Naruto/Sakura about each confessions yet - it is to keep the romantic suspense till the end. It's a classic move to keep some of the answers till the end, and this is what is keeping all other shipping possibilities still "alive" (I say alive in comas because it's the only thing that is NH and SS - though very few by now - going on)

@Madz pfft, but this kind of crap makes me nervous: not that I don't believe that NS will not work, IT HAS TO WORK, THERE'S NO OTHER OPTION!! but still... (a-and the fact that Naruto has been ignoring Hinata since her confession, WHY?? Is it because he doesn't know how to tell her he doesn't like her too/or he was touched and now he's starting to develop some feelings towards her (no, no that's just nonsense!) damn, Kishi, hurry up and give us some NaruSaku moments already... Meek - I know I will get flamed for saying this, but I personally think that narusaku is not 100% given. There is a small possibility (very very very small) that Naruhina can happen, against all odds and ends. It's not so unheard that some authors create some very unexpected twist, to drop a bomb, so I don't rule the possibility out.
Kishi was inspired by DBZ, and don't forget that Chi-Chi was a princess too (same as Hinata), and Chi-Chi did not form part of the gang (same as Hinata). These points are very lame, I know, but I don't disregard the significance of it.
I'm the type to never underestimate the 'enemy', lol...

@Madz I think NH mustn't happen 'cause it would be so unfar(!!) Just look at all this development Naruto and Sakura went through (Sakura mostly, 'cause Naruto always loved her), and then, hey, he never thought of Hinata in a romantic way, she was always a weirdo to him + all the 'possible' NH moments were nothing but a filler episodes. NH doesn't make any sense.

When Kishi pulls smthng like that I think my mind will blow; another problem is that I want Naruto and Sakura act like a couple a bit in the story not like in avatar the last airbender where Aang and Katara only got together on the last moment.

I want at least one arc where Naruto and Sakura live together or smthng. Where Kishi shows how Shinobi combine their job with their everyday (family) life, tbh I think Kishi doesn't quite covers this.

Hinata tryed to give u her life in a selfish way (just like she said) and made Narutos situation worse that could have killed him. she never saved him she thought about her self.

thats completely wrong theirs no significance. Chi Chi is NOTHING like Hinata shes is a tsundere like Sakura with her personality and attitude towards Goku NaruSaku resembles that. NH has no chance its over with after chapter 450. if anything was going to happen there was chances 100 chapters ago to do so but Kshi is still developing NaruSaku. Naruto dosn' know Hinata he is in LOVE with Sakura its confirmed AFTER that confession. Kishi has hinted at NaruSaku constantly in the manga all the way to this point of the story.

Theirs no reason to. you don't get it.look at all the opportunities Naruto had to talk to her since the confession. kishi would have shown by now them bonding, interacting etc. he would be knocking this pairing over are head. Naruto dosn't need too and and shes not expecting a answer she knows he is IN love with Sakura (someone hes mother wanted for him) smiling at them when they hugged lets us know shes happy and supports them.

well i would never wish death but i like Hinata an she will not die lol.
