So what's the point of the war between two nations?

This is just a guess, but I'm betting that this all-out war between two sides of the globe is what Zeref's counting on. Zeref did say he intends for an all-out war between mankind, Acnologia and him. This war could be the stage he's setting up.

I just remembered Bisca and Alzack were immigrants from the western continent. Who knows? This arc might delve a little bit into their past. Sweet move, Mashima.

Maaaaaybe but He's Also Makarov's father if The founders' stories are anything to go by, so he should look older if anything

Well it does look like him, (I'm guessing you are talking about Makarovs old man and not the council member that died when the guild were protecting them.)

 

Though once again it's a disspointment that dispite having so many instances where the Council has been mentioned this is the first time we have heard of God Serena, not sure if we've heard of the Hyberion before either. Also not going to be surprised if number one turns out to be a spy.

He got to convincingly show the group be the strongest members in that world now...and i'm going to be honest Mashima has not done a good job of it so far, his nakama power-up got old over three years ago.

Oh I know that, but my point is thankfully they didn't think "Let's fight them!" because that would be ridiculous. They have to treat this as a big deal, in form of writing. It's like Sasuke not showing concern with Sakura. Make us believe what you want us to believe. Now the question is, will they still end up doing problem solved with no one else involved? I don't know but I pray not to. That's my fear for now. Of course, stealth won't come out well, but hey, they could use them as hostage to force them to bring out Lumen Historie. That would be the right way to do, rather soloed them.

I know he has problems with those, even with the last main arc, but some of Tartaros aspects did have sign of not doing things too similar. Back then, there were many 1v1 that is just easily handled. At least the last has too much to sacrifice. Not to mention dragons got to do the work. So, with this arc, I'm hoping for new feeling of FT with some old ones (nakama power up since we can't escape that). But done in more intense way. Or at least intense as this series can go.

It was a good chapter. Can't wait to see Laxus again. I really wonder how Natsu is gonna beat the toughest guy if all the ones at the top are broken as kitten. It should be good, I bet END somehow comes into play. Either that or Natsu learned to control Dragon Force and that's gonna be his trump card.

The negative about this chapter was once again, Juvia trying to pass gray off as a possession.

FT Zero spoilers

Well, considering that Mavis was cursed with an ageless body for misusing Law, I wouldn't be surprised if Yuri found some sort of way to maintain his youth. Warrod likewise probably found some sort of method to prolong his life. I can agree that this is a bit predictable, but in any case I'm actually quite hyped to see God Serena/Yuri in action. He's probably the only one who can stand up to Zeref aside from Mavis and Natsu.

Also, Yuri even swore an oath to protect Mavis at all costs in the latest Zero chapter. So yeah, I think it's definitely Yuri waiting for the right chance to strike. On top of that, his own son is likely a hostage so he's definitely planning to bust him out when the time is right.

On another note, I'm the only one who's hoping for Wolfheim to take Elfman under his wing? He seems to be a master of Takeover magic. Out of the Strauss siblings, Elfman is the one who has the most potential right now. Mira is more or less semi-retired, it seems. So I think she would actually ask Wolfheim to take Elfman as a student.

Extremely obvious. It has different type of them more or less. One is normal storytelling, one is obsessed, one is hate to love, one is old friends turn enemies turn back (don't worry, it's not SS caliber), and so on.

Yeah, NaLu is locked. Once you get into the story, you'll begin to see all the pairings, not just NaLu. They're all obvious.
