Even if its not in the trailer, of course Naruto and Sakura will interact with each other in the movie. They might not be together for all of it (because its starting to seem like they'll have their own little subplots up until the Tobi fight) but you shouldn't worry about them having moments or not talking to one another. Its a given.

I don't mind them having their own separate subplots but I think it'd be a shame if they didn't interact at least once midway during the film. I don't want them to get stuck in the genjutsu only to be quickly separated for the rest of the movie until the final fight. At least have them meet midway through the movie to talk about the situation they're dealing with.

Naruto and Sakura are very good friends, at the very least, so I would find it out of character for them to just ignore each other right until the final fight.

I at Codus throwing out a readers poll that is now around 2 years old, and note he ignores that Hinata had one other part 1 poll where she scored slightly higehr than Sakura- during Hinata's fight in the Chunnin exams. The poll results that Codus throws around is from a poll that happened very shortly after Hinata had her big scene in 437.... It's just a monetary spike whenever Hinata does something in the manga. Even in the two polls that Hinata scored higher, it was just by one place. Sakura is still quite popular. She's still part of two ships that are more popular than naruhina in Japan- sasusaku and Narusaku. Naruhina has never been popular in Japan compared to the west. For Hinata Neihina scores higher than naruhina.

So Codus is the one just saying whatever, not me.

I said currently, Hinata is the more popular character. The way I see it, it's a trend growing in Japan. That's what they're using as a basis IMO. When they want to scope out their audiences, of course they'd use the latest data. That's why there's some bit of pandering for Hinata and NH fans. Unless you have undeniable proof NS is the more popular pairing over there, I still stand by my opinion.

Poll isn't always accurate, since it may or may not be covering all Naruto readers. There are more readers not participating in the poll I think.

Remember the OVA which was made to promote Uniclo shirts and Aqua Times' new single last year? It shows Naruto-Sasuke bonds and a bit of NS. If rank determines how a story should be told, and if Sakura really fall deep in ranking; showing her in a promotional shirt marketing and listing her as one of the MAIN character in this movie would be a bad move isn't it? Might as well put her as one of the genjutsu.

I lived in Japan once. To my observation, they aren't obsessed with pairings, but to say NS is the least popular or Sakura is the least popular character would be very misleading. This is just my observation while I was there...

I agree with the rest of that. but then you going over the line. NaruSaku (as pairing) IS more popular then NaruHina in japan. Hinata is all about NH? NejiHina way more more popular then NH there.

I have always been like this, I hate Sasuke, I hate SS with passion, I don't like the Uchiha fan wanking, the Sakura hate annoys to no end I feel she didn't deserve that hate when her role has been so far to be Naruto's best friend and main support plus the lack of Naruto and Sakura friendship not romance at lease not yet pisses me off.

EDIT: I'd also like to mention that it's really not cool how some people are attacking other users for having slightly different opinions. It's uncalled for. That goes for the arguments about the character popularity polls as well. Please, for the sake of those who are here to enjoy the movie, calm down.

Yeah I'm actually excited that Sakura is going to be a main character in this movie, we finally get to see her do things after her not really doing anything interesting for about 100 chapters. But, I'm just going to say this now, I'm a Narusaku fan FIRST then a Sakura fan, so yeah I do want Narusaku scenes in this movie. But the reason why I like Narusaku is because I like how Naruto and Sakura interact with each other, so to me it's more about seeing them interact with each other rather then seeing something romantic happen between (though wouldn't complain if that does happen). To me that's a win for Narusaku.

But like I said I would to see her kick-a$$ in this movie too.

i remember one of the sketch, the one that showed naruto and sakura running from something (maybe hinata? Sasuke? Or the rest konoha xD) with funny face.
So, they'll never be separated for the entire movie. After kishi trolling with comedic scene of flamboyant-sasuke or hinata, then the rest of movie would be completely serious. Maybe, kushina and minato will help Sakura find the way out of the genjutsu.

And then Naruto's expression when Kushina is hugging Naruto, and I remember he's trying to convince himself this isn't real, and I just Sakura better be there for emotional support, is all I'm saying (and of course, to help kick Tobi's ass for putting them through this in the first place - though perhaps it was a mixed bag in the fact that Naruto does get to see his parents again...sort of...).

Also, does anyone think maybe since Sakura's dad was the fourth Hokage, maybe HER parents died in the Kyuubi attack, leaving her a hero like Minato wanted Naruto to be? And that's also why Naruto's parents are alive?

That would be surprising. Especially cause when Naruto met Sakura, Sakura always bragged to Sasuke (before he yelled at her after for it) about how he had no parents and didn't have any disipline. So, I guess she'll know how it feels. You know... before she got all nice to him and stuff, ahah.

the naruto's parents thing will only to make naruto stronger and know who his parents are after it he will reinforce his objective and carry on his parents wishes and dreams there's any stuff like hey u have to learn to move on.

I think some western fans in online forums tend to look at western fandom through the lens of just those online forums they go to as the be all and end all of western fandom, and focus too much on one two year old readers poll from Japan as their picture of Japanese fandom.

I don't limit my view to a couple of online Naruto forums. Besides online, I also go to US anime cons, as does my sister, and I also speak to fans who don't go to online forums. I'm a librarian, so I can also interact with manga readers as library patrons... I look at cosplayers in the west- especially in the US and I've seen a radical decline in Hinata cosplayers in the past couple of years, while Sakura cosplayers have actually increased a bit over the same period.

I think the decline in Hinata's popularity in the west (especially in the US) is that Pierott's Mary-Suing of Hinata has finally hit the breaking point. (American fandom will support some Mary-Suing/Gary-Stuiing, but once it hits a certain point then the character's popularity plummets.) Sakura is has increased a bit amongst western fandom (particularly in the US and Canada) due to her stronger role in part 2 of the manga. I also think some fans have become more sympathic of her too because she's had to face some very tough choices in part 2.

As for Japanese fandom, I have some access to that via some Japanese cosplayer websites (one who allows western members- Cure, which I have membership at) and the occassional blog I come across and favorite. Sakura is still very well liked amongst Japanese fandom. Hinata had a brief spike in one Jump readers poll but that I guarantee that was just a fluke even amongst that limited number of people (just like in the one part 1 poll where her numbers shot up, only to drop right back down in the next poll)- only a tiny number of Jump Readers even fill in the poll. Jump sells several million copies a week and the poll respondants number less than 50,000 at best, each Naruto poll has had fewer and fewer respondants, so they also tend to be biased toward fans of characters who recently had a major event for their favorite character....

There's also the website and internet query numbers to look at, those have stayed significantly higher for narusaku over naruhina in Japan, what has changed it sasusaku has declined somewhat since part 2 of the manga began, and narusaku has risen. None have reached the yaoish ships numbers though

As for Japanese Naruto cosplayers, Sakura cosplayers are pretty common, Hinata cosplayers not so common. Kushina didn't have anywhere near the Japanese cosplayers as she had in the west until fairly recently- I think the flashback arc bumped up her popularity in Japan. In the west she had near immediate cosplayers- including myself She's not as popular as Sakura or Tsunade, but more popular than Hinata.

Knowing cosplay fandom, yandere Hinata will probably become a lot more popular than regular Hinata... for both the outfit and the attitude, moreso in western fandom, but the more fringish cosplayers in Japan might do yandere Hinata.

And bless you Slextrem, I think most of us here would greatly appreciate if the all bashing would stop right now. I don't know why some people are determine to bring either character bashing or personal insults on other members into every thread they visit.

Agreed, and this really makes a lot of sense to me.
