That's why he wanted Sasuke to kill him and think all revenge. But then, he discovered Naruto. If he knew him early, which is unlikely in any history path, Itachi wouldn't done the way he did. That's why Itachi asked the ultimate question to Naruto about Sasuke back in Search for Itachi arc. Of course, the damage is done and yeah, here we are. But Itachi now see a new hope within Naruto, which is why he chuckled when he and Sasuke was talking when traveling to find Kabuto. So yeah, you can say Naruto TnJ Itachi. So the change he did was giving Sasuke the idea that he only did it because he didn't want war, which is true. Even if it's the worst outcome, he did what he could to prevent any cost necessary. So Sasuke is in confused path because he was taught to hate but Itachi reform him that people will do anything to protect. Sasuke doesn't understand the life purpose of a shinobi. So enter Hashirama. I don't want to go on but you can put them altogether and see this came about.

I feel like a lot of this series revolves around saving Sasuke... so I feel like he will be redeemed.
But that's just how I see it.

Why do people NOT ship these two? I just don't get it.
Probably cause they hate Sakura. When she's probably the most developed female character in the whole show.
I respect Hinata, but Sakura deserves some too.

Meh. Sasuke deciding to protect the village the way he did came out of nowhere, but I could at least see this was something we were supposed to be a little proud of. Think of it like this. Sasuke hated the village and everyone so much, but he chose to cast that aside to honor Itachi's memory and feelings instead. It was one of the very few selfless things Sasuke ever did for anyone and for that reason I have some respect for him. It was badly executed, but it was at least a step in the right direction for Sasuke's character ... for now.
I just don't like that Kishimoto made Sasuke come to this realization at time like this. It wasn't that consistent with anything written before it. I expected Sasuke to come to attack the village, engage in a fight to the death with Naruto, and then gets his redemption/sense beaten into him. Itachi influencing him was nice, but it should've been Naruto that ultimately changed Sasuke's mind like that since he's the main character's goal literally. Not only that, but if Kishi went this route, then the manga would've been less dragged out.
Knowing Sasuke's track record he's going to do screw up on his "enlightenment" probably after this fight with Kaguya is done. Sasuke still has demons, questionable motives, and issues that it's only a matter of time. He's doing "the right thing" but not with the right reasons or right way of going about it. Sasuke's development is far from done.

Point blank, Sasuke's a mess and is too heavily involved in the plot.
Also, someone stated a while ago that during the making of RtN movie, the editors cut out Sakura's feelings, since the movie was suppose to be more about Naruto's. Well, that how it works in the whole manga. Sakura getting pushed aside for the boys. I know she doesn't have the whole tragic past thing, but Kishi could have at least explored her relationship with Tsunade. The woman is the Hokage for Pete's sake and Sakura, as the apprentice, could have gained access to files and information that she never dreamed of.
Side note; I would like to see another Heaven and Earth reference to Sakura and Naruto in the manga. Yeah random, but after reading several pages, I have a lot on my mind.
He's mine, don't touch.

So, we supposedly have Naruto "lost his mean to fight", so now what. Maybe Naruto can keep trying but there's no point if you have nothing to seal. So I guess it's time to bring a lesson in here. Not sure what but things aren't looking good more so than before. Closing to the next chapter.

I never understood why Hinata fans were expecting her to shine because of Kaguya's byakugan. It's not because she's the origin of her dôjutsu that Hinata, among every Hyuuga clan will shine because of it. Also, since the beginning of the fight against Kaguya, there was no highlighted moment on her byakugan, she just used it once. It's just a dôjutsu, I don't see how Hinata could have something to do with the plot because of it, except if the byakugan has something to do itself with the plot, like it having some kind of bad effect or something like that, meaning something that will never happen, and still she would still be a secondary character, since she's not the only Hyuuga on the battlefield. And also, at the moment, she's dreaming about having Naruto as a doll she can cuddle.

I just reread the interview of Takeuchi, Nakamura and Hayato Date on the RTN DVD box, and the impression I have after reading it is that I don’t understand how we can say that it’s not canon, when the whole movie was completely written by Kishimoto.
Date said himself “Kishimoto wrote the whole scenario and I just animated the scene while trying to transmit HIS character’s emotions.”And there is another thing in that interview that caught my interest. It is the fact that Date said that the final scene of Sakura was deleted and redone. It was supposed to be more focused on Sakura’s feelings, with a close-up on her and her parents hug while crying. But instead of it, they deleted it, because they thought the movie was more about Naruto’s feelings rather than Sakura’s feelings, so they just shown Naruto watching them.

This chapter of Rock Lee looks so good, especially the Kushina/Minato part, it’s so funny even though I have no idea what it is saying. It must be one of the best if not the best Rock Lee chapter ever.
And also, this picture remind me so much of the one in which Naruto is doing the same thing to Sakura. They are identical. They are even saying the same thing. Naruto/Obito: "Rin/Sakura-chan!" Rin/Sakura: "What's wrong with you?!"
Hey, what interview are you talking about?! Sorry, don't quite know about it. ^^ Can you post it here as well? That's some interesting info you have there. xD

I considere sasuke is the same type with rukawa(handsome cold dark rival).
The big difference is rukawa doesn't jump ship to the other team because sakuragi become more skillful as a basketball player. I think.

Which I've told you - time and time again - is dangerous! There will never be consensus, son, among those you have helped to ascend. They will all differ in their views of what it means to be free. The peace you so desperately seek does not exist.
These men are united now by a common cause. But when this battle is finished they will fall to fighting amongst themselves about how best to ensure control. In time it will lead to war. You will see.

This was the same question I had asked a couple of days ago...just in a different formatSo does Sakura know that Naruto is the 4th hokages son? Because she knew in RTN but didn't even recognize his face in 631 (despite there being monument of it in the village)
