You mean its war arc? It feels like Fairy Tail but that whole someone dies but doesn't really is meh...lol Gintama seems so serious after just being comedic two chapters ago but fits so wellI forgot to include Fairy Tail.

Well, the gripe for me is it feels like another arc that were adventurous rather than a brand new setting. It's like "Oh it's the same atmosphere," more so than making it stand out differently. Basically, "It feels like Fairy Tail," is not what we need now.
Gintama knows how to gel well together.

That's the problem with war arcs, some think it suppose to be dark and put all the characters together and showing each fight plus having the main character steal the show while some just sit back and do nothing to the point its rush.Well, the gripe for me is it feels like another arc that were adventurous rather than a brand new setting. Fairy Tail, at least feels like itself unlike where Naruto and Bleach felt like it was trying too hard but FT does the dying but not dead thing at lot...lol Glad Lucy is fighting though
Gintama has more of a realistic sense and pace itself to get to a certain point

Naruto:
Tried to create the war atmosphere but ultimately lost in the shuffle. It created an all-star brawl that dragged and when it got to Naruto, it lost the steem of its atmosphere. It was more or less black and white but it went 100% and the switch of villains gotten way too overbearing. Using the final villain that's never been hyped or barely have any connection was an awful choice. The final battle lost hype because of many build has gotten so convoluted, so it was hard to care.
The War Arc tried to be edgy and intense, but it was overshadowed by its poor decisions, plot holes, and repetitive dialogues that don't hold strong meaning like its first said. In the end, it was too long and really frustrating to see so much potentials gone to waste yet again.
Bleach:
Did the same thing as Winter War Arc, only less characters to care, longer drag than ever, and its weakness exposed greatly. When you think about it, it's the same thing as that arc, only that one had characters like Gin to care for and they got properly introduced, so we at least are witnessing something that was built. The last arc, however, doesn't have the same fundamental at all. Bottom line, it should have gone differently from its predecessor.
The reason why it's not as forgiving is because everyone gets one chance to pull a fast but with this arc, it was too similar and it has grown incredibly stale. Not only the battle formula is largely the same, but it hardly has any weight in them anymore. In the end, a very disappointing arc that doesn't get me upset as much as Naruto but the underwhelming feeling is really there.
Fairy Tail:
The same as its other arcs that isn't Tartoros Arc. The reason I have to exclude that is because while the combat is similar, especially for Erza, the setting and mood is different and for the right reason. It needed a different approach, so with that arc, people are dying left and right (some named but actual people dead), characters doing a hard choice to "win," and the ending was a setup that need to change up the series. Hell, I couldn't believe that moment where Freed asked Makorov if he saved everyone, only for him to lie because people still died. I was pinching myself if I'm reading Fairy Tail.
Now, in this arc, look, there is some joy in certain combat, as well as moments, but the formula is becoming apparent and that's not good because this is a war, so it can't be treated like another adventure. People are going to die or suffer. It can't be like that. Not only that, but it is tired formula, so it's not over but it better spice things up soon.

naruto war arc tries too hard to be nostalgic, the zombies are a really poor choice. kabuto shouldn't have the reserves to control that much zombies...
I can't even say good bye to you for the last time
I'm sorry

Hence, All-Star brawl. Edo was a copout way to make the war evenly battle. I mean yeah, we got some sentimental moment of not wanting to fight their old loved ones, but that gets brushed aside later on, which is still weak. Not to mention, we supposed to believe Kabuto/Orochimaru has that many people DNA, waiting to become Edo Tensei. That is just too much.

I can agree on that.

Well, this is the guy that was too scared of killing anyone because he loves them too much. It must be heartbreaking for everytime he put them in a bad moment.

His story as well because he doesn't put TOO much information in his story that isn't even mentioned anymore, he puts enough to cover basically all of his story and wrapping it up as he himself saidbe glad gorilla sensei cares about his characters
I feel proud that Gintama is tied with FMAB even though both got beat by a movie

The movie was lower before? :oHoly crap. The jump just happened today or yesterday. It was lower before. The score most likely go down. But for the record, I want to see the movie and supposedly it is going to theater. So I can't wait.

Oh boy, this has me heart pounding. When it comes to final arc, its always a bit fearsome when you hear, important announcement, especially when they use that word very loosely as of late. So what could it be?
A live action movie is out of question as it has been announced already. Is the series ending? Honestly, if WSJ think about pulling the plug, they have more to lose than say Bleach, because Gintama has come off with sales better than usual long running series in anime, more than Naruto, won the best anime award thanks to fans, manga is pretty consistent in sales, and right now, they dont need to end one off if all other Titans are done, let alone they cant bet on three new series to be 500k seller.
I guess I am a bit nervous because the manga is finally showing me why War Arc can still work in a Shounen genre, yet I have to remember the two titans that could have crossover in anime that only screams, Two craps in a barrel. I apologize for the bias comment. Anyway, what do you think what it is. Next week, Gintama will have the lead cover, color page and all, so the heart race begins.
