I'm saying it cause. Since part two started this is the first time, we can see alot of physical damage on his clothes. I mean they re complete ripped and hanging and lowing around the wind. So that's why I say that he might be getting a wardrobe upgrade

I think because her development is about her team, and two of her potential love interests happen to be in the same team, every team interaction looks like a pairing interaction. Because we fans see with pairing goggles on.

 

For example, at the end of chapter 632, Sakura was teasing Naruto. Yet NS fans like to think of it as she was flirting with him.

Or at the end of chapter 632, Sakura was calling out Sasuke's name. Her face looked surprised and grateful that he protected her. Yet SS fans like to think of it as she being affectionate with him.

It was most likely just a team 7 moment, showing that their chemistry hasn't changed, and that they are back and fighting together.

 

Chapter 632 was supposed to be a team interaction, but we fans of each respective pairings, turned and twisted them into a pairing interaction. So yes I agree, we make the romance part bigger than it actually is. And in the end, we ourselves make Sakura a pairing centered character, when most likely that wasn't the initial intention of the writer.

Yeah I know what you mean. It would be awesome. I feel it: sasuke vs naruto will be the final grand battle of the series. A fight of opposing ideals. I feel hashirama will somehow take care of madara. That will be such a insane event. I feel it. Sasuke has to be the final "boss". They both will get one more crazy upgrade in power. Can't wait till he turn. I don't hate him. Well I do. But I love him as the anti hero. Kinda like red robin Jason Todd in batman. Soooo awesome. Well goodnite talk more in the am. I couldn't agree more. I do like Sasuke as the anti hero, because I think the series lasted so long with him as that kind of character. I mean yeah, the crazy one was cool, but well, he was crazy. It's suited him to be the one that is not evil, but not on good guys' ideal. To me, if he does turn, then I can see this ending with a great bang. Kishi has said that they will fight in the end, so I only hope the stake is really high and so far, well it's building up to be one. Well, I hope Kishi doesn't drop the ball because there's so much buildup to them, only to be solved so easy will be a huge blow. People may jump to that conclusion, but really, one turn can change all that.

First how come she only says "Sasuke"? Where's the Kun? because without it doesn't it show they are close (Similar to NS?) that's clearly a mistake OR it's viz doing it on purpose because NH was sunk.

 

And the second to last panel looks like Sakura is agreeing with Sasuke's comment, suggesting she believes Naruto could drag them down??

 

About SS moments, my concern is: What's the point of showing any positive SS moments or Sakura -> Sasuke moments if this does nothing but

 

A) Enrage the pairing wars?

 

B) Most importantly slows down her character development or in worst case scenario regresses it?

 

Why bother at this late stage to slow down her character development to a grinding halt? I better solution would be to just avoid all pairing related stuff until it is absolutely needed (maybe just before Sasuke betrays the alliance) and stop with teases that will just add fuel to the fire...

I believe Viz doesn't add any of the suffixes, they even have Naruto only say "Sakura"

I know they westernize it but... they completely change what is actually said...

I don't mind the viz translations as that was all I ever knew before I started reaching out on the internet 

 

I never read manga or watched anime (well really I still don't watch anime except for a very select few and none right now) until my son asked me to buy the Dragonball manga for him when he was twelve or so.

I don't really see much bias in Viz's translations then again bias is in the eye of the beholder

hauntedcake just so you know the viz translations takes outt the kun and chan suffix i read viz's translation once before and the chapter was 469 and let me tell you reading that translation felt so much more clear sakura really did sound sincere so to the fans that think kishi wrote her confession bad then think again

I actually like the Viz translation since it gives a more clear answer to Sakura's vague "Yes!" near the end. I did feel it was a sort of response to Sasuke since both of them wanted Naruto to focus and not got crazy over stupid things.

 

Also, in the Viz translation when Sasuke said "Don't drag us down" I read it as him referring to the whole team. Sasuke doesn't want Naruto's illogical whining to compromise the team battle formation that they have going on right now. And Sakura agreed on that.

 

Sasuke knows that Naruto is OP as all hell, he even felt uncomfortable feeling his humongous chakra when he was visiting Konoha, so it would be ridiculous to think that Naruto could drag Sasuke and Sakura down power wise.

 

Basically Sasuke tells Naruto that his complaining was distracting and Sakura agreed while adding that what he complained about wasn't even worth it because it didn't mean anything to Sakura either.

The omission of japanese honorary suffixes is normal in the official foreign translations. Even in my land the Planet Manga overlooks the suffix like chan and kun since they are honorary suffixes. You can translate the suffix "-sama" as "Lord/Lady" and the "-san" as "Mr/Mrs/Miss" but when it's the turn of "-chan" and "-kun" you cannot translate them properly as well as they sound in japanese. You cannot translate "Sakura-chan" as "Little Sakura" or "Sasuke-kun" as...just would mean, nothing. It would clash a little.

the closest English equivalents would be Master for -kun (in terms of it referring to a young boy) and Miss for -chan but neither are satisfactory so I understand leaving them out. Other translated manga in North America have little editors notes whenever they use suffixes to explain them.
