I never understood why Hinata fans were expecting her to shine because of Kaguya's byakugan. It's not because she's the origin of her dôjutsu that Hinata, among every Hyuuga clan will shine because of it. Also, since the beginning of the fight against Kaguya, there was no highlighted moment on her byakugan, she just used it once. It's just a dôjutsu, I don't see how Hinata could have something to do with the plot because of it, except if the byakugan has something to do itself with the plot, like it having some kind of bad effect or something like that, meaning something that will never happen, and still she would still be a secondary character, since she's not the only Hyuuga on the battlefield. And also, at the moment, she's dreaming about having Naruto as a doll she can cuddle.

I just reread the interview of Takeuchi, Nakamura and Hayato Date on the RTN DVD box, and the impression I have after reading it is that I don’t understand how we can say that it’s not canon, when the whole movie was completely written by Kishimoto.
Date said himself “Kishimoto wrote the whole scenario and I just animated the scene while trying to transmit HIS character’s emotions.”

And there is another thing in that interview that caught my interest. It is the fact that Date said that the final scene of Sakura was deleted and redone. It was supposed to be more focused on Sakura’s feelings, with a close-up on her and her parents hug while crying. But instead of it, they deleted it, because they thought the movie was more about Naruto’s feelings rather than Sakura’s feelings, so they just shown Naruto watching them.

This chapter of Rock Lee looks so good, especially the Kushina/Minato part, it’s so funny even though I have no idea what it is saying. It must be one of the best if not the best Rock Lee chapter ever.

 

And also, this picture remind me so much of the one in which Naruto is doing the same thing to Sakura. They are identical. They are even saying the same thing. Naruto/Obito: "Rin/Sakura-chan!" Rin/Sakura: "What's wrong with you?!"

^It goes to show you no one is being fooled that Naruto/Sakura isn't paralleled. Honestly, I can feel a nuke happens once it's confirmed in the manga. The thing is for us, we have evidences, but never exploited as big as 631. That one had stealth bomber written all over. If NF was in riot, then you know it did its job.

That said no Sasuke (maybe for a very short time being, we'll know soon) and no Hinata does scream "This is it!" But let's not get ahead ourselves. Anyway, happens now with NS evidences being used, that will kill many if not all credibility for no pairing and others.

How could TheMagicConch forget the weeks leading up to Kaguya's appearance where a bunch of Hinata fans (as well as NH fans) stated that Kaguya would be more likely to take over Hinata as opposed to Madara simply because Hinata had the Byakugan? And then she got turned into plant food, and the butthurt was beyond real (between rocks and trees, nature has not been kind to Naruto's resident pokemon).

This reminded me about Rosario+Vampire, Tsukune was in love with Moka,

Moka

the girl with pink hair she had a rosario on which when it's taken off she releases her outer personality the white haired vampire.
Thoughout the entire manga he ends up in love with Moka the pink haired girl, close to the end it's revealed she's a fake personality created by the seal.
It's painfull when the MC realizes he fall in love with someome who doesnt even existed to begin with.

The only thing the byakugan is good is precise vision from a distance What would the new byakugan even do? Give them the remaining 5% field of vision?

Well simple, my reaction would be, "Hell something's not right! This is not the Naruto I/We know! Something's definitely wrong!"
