I guess the message is give up on your desires if someone else tells you they've loved you for the longest time. Why fight for happiness when you can just take the easy road... clearly a strong message for children everywhere. (Oh great, now I sound like I'm in Grief lol)

The scenes from the trailer don't look that bad. They're more Hinata than NH and Hinata looks pretty sad in one of those scenes. Of course we should keep open the possibility NH will became canon, but from the trailer alone it still doesn't show any indication of Naruto having feelings for Hinata. Granted I still HATE all this forced Hinata relevancy, but I'm not counting out NS yet.

 

Some more badass Sakura shots and NaruSaku teases would be good right now thanks.

 

Yeah, I'm on the same boat. The only Naruto and Hinata reactions weren't particularly overly romanticize, and Naruto's line "Wait for me, blah blah I don't remember" seems to indicate he wants to tell her about something he remembers when he was kid, BEFORE he knew her, more or less liked her. 

 

Of course this doesn't stop people for overreacting, and panic.

Like it isn't the fact that it seems that the movie is making NH seem like it is going to be a focus in the movie, as that does seem possible with the information we have been given. It is just that I feel like people are taking this to serious and personal. It's Naruto, does it really matter what kind of romance it ends up being. Sure I'll be as hell as disappointed, but... it just something not to be obsessive with...

There are two shippuden movie I knew that were misleading during promotions, and let's start with this one: 

 

 

 

I remember fully well that every trailer, tv spot, poster, etc, was all towards the big reunion between Naruto and Sasuke, and let me tell you the promotion was really insane (almost like a Call of Duty status). A majority of the fanbase was pumped, and I'll be honest I was in that crowd during that point in time. Then when the movie came out my expectations weren't exactly the way I thought I was gonna have them to be after viewing Bonds. 

 

 

 

 

Next comes the most obvious choice (I'm gonna share the photos I can find/remember during promotions):

 

 

When this poster first came out, many of us where kinda curious like "Oh wow everyone has different expressions then usual, and Naruto and his parents are there too like what's up with that." So at the time this poster wasn't that bad, but then we got all of this: 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Now you see the last two images I uploaded, people were thinking oh no this will be heavy fan service of NH and SS. I remember most of us were even skeptical about even watching it. Fortunately at the time I was one of the few who were like you know what let's see how Road to Ninja plays out, and once I saw the movie my expression was pretty much     .

 

 

Which of course results from the images people uploaded after seeing Road to Ninja.

Now my point here is that promotions for movies and the outcome of a movie are two very different things. Look through all the updates that deals with The Last and think back to how Bonds and Road To Ninja were handled during promotions. If there is one thing I know about promotions is that they can be deceiving so keep that in mind. A proper judgement of The Last should be made only and only when the movie finally comes out. Remember Kishi was the writer of RTN, and look at what happened during promotions before and when that movie came out. In this movie he's the chief story supervisor!!! Not The one promoting it, We all know who that is ... Studio Perriot.....

 

 

I hope this sinks into your brains, and hopefully this doesn't sound like a rant guys because all I'm trying to do is giving you advice, of course being there for you guys, and help steer you all in the right direction.

Honestly, I doubt this movie will turn out to be like RTN. Too much emphasis on Hinata. I bet there's going to be a kittenload of NaruHina teasing in this movie even if it doesn't really become canon.

There is still a way for Kishi to technically make this a closure movie without it ending in NH... we really need to know just what Sakura's role in this movie really is. SP refuses to show her for more then a few seconds

RTN wasnt meant to be taken seriously to begin with , since more than half of the movie was set in another world where every character had a different personality, whereas Sasuke would rather give Sakura a sword rather than a flower in the original world. Even I wasn't bothered by these rtn ''marketing'' but this is different, its heavily hinting at NH since its all we're seeing.
